DirecTV Announces Passions Schedule

Passions will end its 8-year run on NBC this week, airing its final episode on broadcast television on Friday, September 7th. Satellite television provider DirecTV has announced the broadcast schedule for Passions when the soap moves: the show will air twice a day and air a marathon on the weekend.

When Passions makes its move from broadcast television to satellite television, fans of the show will have a few extra opportunities to catch up with the antics of their favorite Harmony residents.

Beginning September 17th, Passions will air at 2:00pm and 7:00pm Monday through Thursday once it moves to DirecTV. There will be no episodes broadcast on Friday. There will be a four-episode marathon of all the week's episodes on Saturdays at 10:00am.

For those Passions fans who are unable to make the move to DirecTV for one reason or another, the satellite television provider has not yet announced if there will be an alternate venue to watch Passions. Episodes of Passions are currently available for download from Apple's iTunes service.

Passions will be broadcast on DirecTV's original programming channel, The 101. It marks DirecTV's very first scripted drama series.

Passions ends its eight-year run on NBC on September 7th. The show will begin airing new episodes on DIRECTV on September 17th, picking up exactly where the show ended when it last aired on NBC.
