No, you're not on the wrong web site.

As you may have noticed on this visit to the Soap Central web site, we've undergone some changes. Change, as they say, is a good thing, but it can also be intimidating at first. We're convinced that the changes that we've made to the site are definitely a good thing and we've created a special tutorial to help guide you through some of the new features that we've added.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Yes, that's true. So what made us decide to tinker with a design that has proven very popular among our visitors? It's simple: we wanted to make accessing various features of the site even easier. The redesign wasn't done overnight and has been in the works for nearly six months. We've made careful decisions to not change the flow of the web site or to make it too jarring of a change. It is now easier than ever to access the Daily Recaps for all your favorite soaps -- and then pop over to the message boards to read what other fans are saying about the shows.

The soapcentral.com web site has been online now for over ten years and has come in many different incarnations. The site started off as an All My Children-only web site, The AMC Pages. Over time, the site grew to become "Soap Opera Central." While that name is still very much a part of our heritage, changing to a more universal and singular name for the site - Soap Central - helps to better identify this site. The name is our address on the Internet and will allow all of our many visitors to refer to us by one all-inclusive name.

If you look closely, the overall design of the Soap Central web site hasn't really changed that radically in this redesign. However, the look of the previous version of the site has been in place for about four years and we felt that it was time for something a little more contemporary. This new look is more colorful and designed in a way that allows easier access to our many features.
