Congratulations are in order for both General Hospital and Days of our Lives. The rival soap operas have once again received Writers Guild Award nominations for their work this year.
The WGA awards recognize outstanding achievement in television, new media, news, radio/audio, and promotional writing during 2018. Both GH and DAYS were nominated last year, with GH taking home the win for the third consecutive time. Neither The Young and the Restless nor The Bold and the Beautiful received WGA nominations, as has been the case for the last couple of years.
GH's award-winning writing team consists of head writers Shelly Altman and Christopher Van Etten along with writers Barbara Bloom, Anna Theresa Cascio, Suzanne Flynn, Charlotte Gibson, Lucky Gold, Kate Hall, Elizabeth Korte, Daniel James O'Connor, Donny Sheldon, and Scott Sickles.
