Brief Character History

Out of the blue in 2003, Katherine Chancellor discovered a buried memory that during a year of separation from her first husband Gary Reynolds, who had taken their young son Brock to Europe, Kay had gotten pregnant by Gary's golfing buddy Judge Arthur Hendricks. To protect Katherine's reputation, her friend Charlotte agreed to take Kay's newborn baby to a place to be adopted in exchange for a lot of cash and a promise to disappear. The agency refused to take the child without a name on a birth certificate, so to protect young socialite Kay, Charlotte had used her own name. An incorrect DNA test proved that Kay's nemesis Jill Abbott was that long lost child, and they ended up bonding, believing they were mother and daughter for a couple of years. Then when that was disproved, and the old rivalry resumed, Kay decided not to even try to find her child.

By 2009, Jill and Katherine had mended fences and admitted that they felt like mother and daughter again. But Jill decided it was time Kay found her real child, so hired Paul to investigate, swearing him to secrecy from Kay. Paul discovered that Charlotte Ramsey had not only disappeared, but every record, every trace of her was also gone. He tracked down the child who had been given to the Gray Nuns at the Sisters of Charity orphanage near the Canadian border, and Jill presented the child's name and whereabouts as a gift to Kay for Christmas. Jill and Kay flew to South Dakota and met JoAnn "JoJo" Glover, proprietor of JoJo's Bail Bonds. JoAnn was a tough crude woman with a police record of assault, weapons possession, and grand theft. She had done 10 years in Federal prison in Dublin, California, for extortion, money laundering, trafficking in stolen goods, and she was involved in a motorcycle gang Federal RICO prosecution. They told JoAnn that she was Kay's daughter and brought her home for a visit. It wasn't long before they insisted on a DNA test, in hopes that they could prove she was NOT Kay's daughter. JoJo refused, so Murphy got a DNA sample from one of her beer bottles.

Jill met wealthy industrialist Tucker McCall on a business trip, but he allowed her to assume that he was just a bartender, and they spent the night together. Tucker soon showed up at Chancellor Industries to advise Kay and Neil to buy out a company named "Cell Tron" with Chancellor stock. Jill was shocked to walk in on the meeting and discover who Tucker really was, but he managed to talk his way out of it later, and they continued their affair. When the DNA test proved JoJo was not Kay's daughter, it was discovered that Tucker had set JoJo up as part of his plot to get revenge on Kay because HE was her missing child. Another DNA test proved that he was.

Tucker turned out to be the only stockholder in "Cell Tron", so once they purchased it, he had majority interest in Chancellor, which devastated Katherine. When Kay found out about Tucker and Jill's relationship, she accused Jill of being in on his plot, and fired her from Jabot and Chancellor. Victor and Adam staged a public fight and Victor ran an article in Restless Style exposing Adam as part of Nick's idea to get Chancellor back to Kay. So Tucker's first steps were to hire Adam Newman, J.T. Hellstrom, and Kevin Fisher, dump Jill as a lover, and sell Jabot. Because Victor got Adam to disclose the sealed bids, Newman was able to outbid the Abbotts for Jabot, and Victoria was made CEO. Jack was livid when Victor fired him, accusing Victor of dirty dealing, and Ashley gave Victor back his ranch in disgust.

Tucker has told stories of his past, how his adoptive family wanted to send him to college, but they were too poor, so he left for Europe with twenty dollars in his pocket, slept on park benches, audited college classes, took odd jobs, and ate at a mission. Tucker made friends and later took risks that paid off. He told how he was once trapped in an avalanche with five others, but he was the only survivor. Tucker got his career-start managing a band that hit it big in the seventies. Kay discovered, while trying to get something on Tucker to get Chancellor back, that Tucker paid off Alexander Thomas, the Cultural Minister of Yugoslavia with a Griffin painting worth millions to promote the band 25 years ago that launched his career. Kay confronted Tucker and threatened to ruin him with a charge of international corporate bribery. But her guilt over abandoning him as a baby got the best of her, and she backed off. After signing over Jabot to Victor, Tucker received word that Jack had gotten a judge to block the sale pending investigation of Adam's part in it. When Tucker realized that Kay had given up the chance to get Chancellor back, he stopped the pending sales of other Chancellor assets, and made a deal with Kay to buy enough shares to be equal partners in Chancellor.

Kay and Tucker got close, and Kay talked him into selling her 51%. Jill got jealous, and went ahead with the story to expose Tucker. Tucker thought they had tricked him, and prepared to sell all the Chancellor assets within the thirty days before sale closed. Kay swore Jill acted alone and Jill confirmed it, and later Tucker made a substantial donation to Kay's annual charity ball which benefitted the homeless, so Kay was hoping she had convinced him. But weeks later Tucker informed Kay that he wanted Jabot or he would expose the security tape he had of Adam opening the sealed bids which would invalidate the sale to Victor. Kay capitulated, and Tucker asked Ashley Abbott to be CEO of Jabot Cosmetics. She had second thoughts about working for someone like McCall, but she later accepted, hoping that by working there she could somehow get Jabot back into the Abbott's hands where it belonged.

Tucker wanted a favor of J.T. for helping J.T. get custody of Reed. He needed information from Victoria's files on a deal that Victor made years ago with Mitsukoshi department stores which made Newman's Beauty of Nature line their sole cosmetics line. Tucker was hoping this information would seal the deal for him to get Beauty of Nature away from Newman to merge it with his company, Jabot. After Billy caught J.T. typing on Victoria's laptop, and having secretive meetings with Tucker, he rehired Jill at Restless Style magazine and assigned her to investigate whatever was going on between Tucker and the Newmans. Because Tucker's snooping was making Victor suspicious, Victoria traveled to Japan for him with a rare gift to ensure their deal with Mitsukoshi department stores remained intact, and Billy tagged along. Just before she left for her meeting with Mitsukoshi's representative, Tucker and Ashley greeted them in the hotel bar. Ashley and Tucker got closer and ended up making love back in his room. Ashley felt guilty afterward, and once back in Genoa City, considered admitting it to her boyfriend Neil. But before she could, Neil suddenly sold Indigo to Jeff and Gloria, and told Ashley he felt he should spend more time with his family, and they should just remain friends.

Malcolm told Tucker he was done spying for him, and Tucker threatened to expose their dealings if he did not continue. About a month later, Sofia Dupre arrived from Europe and revealed that she was Tucker's "right hand." Neil took an instant dislike to her, only to find out that she was Malcolm's mystery fiancé. Tucker then mentioned that Malcolm had quit working for him, but he wanted Sofia to remain in Genoa City and handle the deal he and Ashley were working on with Jack; whereby if Jack helped them acquire Newman's Beauty of Nature Line, Jack could return to Jabot and run it with Ashley. Malcolm helped Sofia decide to take Tucker up on his offer, and Jack talked Tucker into giving him the job right away.

After returning to Genoa City from Japan, Billy had found on the Internet that the gift which he had peeked at, was a priceless antique gun. Tucker made a deal with Jill to find out what the gift was in exchange for a detective to get more information on Jill's real parents. Guessing Billy's password, Jill found the gun in his web search history, and gave the information to Tucker. Tucker confronted Victor with it hoping he could leverage him into giving up the Newman cosmetics line, but instead Victor went to the authorities and explained the illegal gift. Billy fired Jill when he found what she had done. Later Victor turned Victoria in and had her arrested for the illegal gifting of a foreign official in an effort to stop her wedding to Billy Abbott. As she was being dragged to the police car, Judge Anderson quickly finished the vows, and they were officially married. Vance Abrams took her case, but Victoria spent her wedding night in jail. Victor visited the following morning and admitted he had turned her in – for her own good, and offered to have the charges dropped if she would get rid of Billy. Victoria declined, told Victor he would never again be a part of her life or her children's, and went back to her cell. Vance got Victoria released on bail, and Victor finally relented and admitted to the authorities that Victoria was delivering the gun under his orders. Victoria refused to forgive him and was offered an executive position with Jabot by Tucker McCall. She did not accept the job but Victoria let him know that she was hoping to get Beauty of Nature in a settlement with her father, which she would sell to Tucker if he allowed her to be CEO of the company.

Mid-October 2010, Diane Jenkins accepted a job working for Tucker, and they went to his place to seal the deal, and ended up in bed. A tornado blew out the windows in Tucker's apartment, and after they got dressed, Abby and Daniel arrived at the door looking for Ashley. When Ashley arrived awhile later, she overheard Abby tell Daniel that she was sure that Tucker was cheating on her mother. Abby confronted Tucker and Diane, but Ashley sent them home. When Phyllis heard that Diane was staying in town and accepting a job with McCall Unlimited, Phyllis posted a story on the Restless Style website exposing all the dirt on Diane. Once Tucker saw the story, especially that Diane was not a partner in the company she worked for in Toronto, he rescinded his job offer. Diane threatened to expose their one night stand to Ashley if she did not get the job, but Tucker told her to go ahead – no one would believe Diane.

Needing money to pay off Blake Joseph, one of the cattle rustlers who had been after Cane in Australia, Cane checked the Internet for how to take on a new identity. Cane located the name of a dead person named James Collier and ordered a copy of his birth certificate. Cane presented Sofia with a resume for James Collier and convinced her to hire him sight unseen, intending to do Collier's work himself. Cane opened an account in the James Collier name, arranged direct deposit of his pay check, and gave Blake the information so he could withdraw the funds as payment of the blackmail. Tucker became suspicious of Collier, and requested Cane deliver some files to Collier to present a report on them, along with a face-to-face meeting with Tucker, due the following day. Cane stayed up all night working on the report. As Cane was making excuses for Collier's absence to Tucker, Blake showed up claiming to be Collier. To make things easier, Blake told Tucker that he went by the name Blake rather than James. After they both had left, Tucker confided in Neil that he still did not trust Collier, and woe to Cane if Collier was not what he claimed to be. Cane was soon overwhelmed by staying up all night to perform both his own work as well as Collier's, which caused Sofia to become suspicious.

Jack, Phyllis, Ashley, Traci, Abby, and Tucker were gathered at Abbott Manor to celebrate Christmas Eve 2010. Tucker presented Ashley with a huge engagement ring and asked her to marry him, Ashley accepted, and they set the wedding date for May.

The time came when Blake was assigned a project that Cane was not expert enough to handle, and Sofia and Neil were ready to fire Blake. But Sofia got Cane to admit that Blake was a fraud, and after hearing the story behind it, she agreed to help him get the blackmailers paid off to protect his family from harm. Colin put more pressure on Cane by asking Jill to marry him, and she accepted. Tucker discovered that Blake was a fraud. He called in Sofia, and when she tried to explain, he fired her and Cane. Sofia confessed her part in the hoax to Malcolm, then Neil, saying that she only wanted to help Cane who was a good man in a rough place. Both men were mad at Sofia, and left her behind while they went to help Lily pick up the pieces.

Sofia went to Tucker again and got him to listen to her explanation. She reminded Tucker how he had saved her father's job as an economics professor, and said that she felt that she had been "paying it forward" by helping Cane. Sofia told how her father and Tucker had been close friends who argued economics over the dinner table, back when her father was raising Sofia alone, and she was a cheerleader who read financial magazines. Sofia's father had started a business with his university class, and Tucker had been a guest lecturer. Her father had been about to be fired because he didn't let the university share the profits, which was against their rules. Tucker had interceded and claimed that the business was his own. As a result, Sofia had gotten a college scholarship and supported herself by delivering pizzas and tutoring athletes. After Sofia graduated, she called Tucker for a job, where she worked her way up from a file clerk. Tucker relented and told Sofia that he expected her to cooperate with the police or face embezzlement charges with the rest of them.

Cane went home to tell Lily the truth about him and that Colin was his father, but she was at the church waiting for him, ready to forgive him. So Cane wrote a note for Lily and made a video for the kids, just in case he never saw them again. As Jill and Colin said their vows, Cane walked up the steps of the church, followed by Blake. Lily walked out the front door and saw them fighting. Blake turned the gun on Lily to stop Cane, but Cane jumped Blake to protect his family. The gun went off shooting Cane in the chest, and Blake fell down the steps, where he died of a broken neck. Lily told Cane she forgave him and loved him, and Cane breathed his last breath telling Lily that he loved her.

Malcolm and Tucker ran into each other, and Tucker admitted that he was lost without Sofia and that the bio-fuel project would probably end up being scrapped. Tucker and Malcolm agreed that maybe they had been a little tough on her. Yet when Neil told Malcolm the same, Malcolm said that Sofia deserved it. Neil and Sofia commiserated and ended up having sex on Neil's sofa. Malcolm showed up, ready to forgive Sofia for lying to him. Then Neil went to Tucker and persuaded him to rehire Sofia.

Loyal friend Katherine told Victor about the deals that Jack and Victoria had made with Tucker to get Beauty of Nature from Victor to merge it with Jabot once they were awarded it in the arbitration hearing over his children's trust funds. They decided that together, Victor and Katherine would outwit them all. Katherine then went to Tucker and told him that his wedding to Ashley could no longer be held at her estate, because he was no longer welcome there.

Instead of accepting his children's settlement offer, Victor held a press conference to announce that he was taking Newman public. The Abbotts and Newmans, plus Tucker and Kay, watched the television at Victoria's house in shock, knowing that Victor had always promised that would never happen. Katherine was there, and denounced them for causing it, saying she was ashamed of them. Nikki just wanted it all to stop, and left too. Billy left for the press conference, and arrived in time to ask if Victor had done this rather than give his kids the settlement they were granted. Victor replied that he loved his kids, but they were influenced by some unsavory characters, and that he was saddened that they were not there to enjoy the new era of Newman.

In the end, Tucker fired Jack as CEO of Jabot for not bringing him Beauty of Nature, as promised, Victoria and Nick were arranging to buy up stock, as were Jack and Ashley. Abby just wanted her settlement in cash, and Tucker asked Kay to buy stock with him to stop the kids from gaining control. Kay called it a scheme, said she was not a fool, and would have no part of it. Then Kay went to Victor offering to pool her funds with his so that none of them could seize control of Newman from him. Adam went to Tucker to offer his stock options, and Tucker paid Adam double the projected stock price. Victor found out and warned Tucker that he was not going to allow him to swallow up Newman. Tucker offered to buy Abby's stock options but her resentment of Tucker made her sell them to Jack. Jack later offered them to Tucker in exchange for Jabot, but was turned down. Tucker then proposed to the Chancellor board that they buy Newman stock, resell it to Tucker at a loss and take a tax write-off. When Katherine found out, she met with Victor, ready to bring Tucker down.

After repeated attempts to talk her mother out of marrying Tucker, the day before their wedding, Abby got drunk and trashed the park which was decorated for the wedding before passing out in a fountain. Awakened by a cop, Abby was arrested for vandalism. Victor and Ashley met Abby at the jail, and vowed to let her sit there as a lesson, but Tucker talked her into behaving herself, and she was released. Later a rehearsal dinner was held at Gloworm, where Abby played nice to Tucker's face, but was hatching a plot to expose him as a philanderer to her mother. She sent a text message to Diane from Tucker's phone to meet him at the Abbott cabin, and one to Tucker from Malcolm's phone to meet him there for his bachelor party. After the dinner, Abby, instead of driving her mother home, drove her toward the Abbott cabin. When Ashley realized how drunk Abby was, she attempted to get her to stop the car, but in their struggle, Abby stepped on the accelerator just as Tucker was walking across the road, and was struck by the car. Diane was behind them in her car and was first on the scene to tell the police what she saw – an apparently drunk driver who appeared to purposely run a man down. After the emergency workers pulled Ashley and Abby from the wreckage, Ashley told them that she was driving to protect Abby.

Tucker's condition was critical. With a fractured skull and subdural hematoma, Kay gave permission for surgery to relieve pressure on the brain. Afterward, the doctor reported that they had found another bruise on the brain which caused a coma from which Tucker might not survive. Ashley was fine, but Abby was still unconscious. Meanwhile Diane admitted to the detective that she was meeting Tucker, and that Ashley may have found out, so hitting Tucker may not have been accidental. Victor threatened the detective to take no further action, and confronted Diane, calling her a slut and telling her that there would be an annulment with no big settlement. Ashley was convinced that Tucker was meeting Diane, so was torn between anger and her love for him. Tucker's attorney, Nelson McGinnis, was called in to announce that Tucker had a living will stating that no extraordinary measures were to be taken to save his life. Kay refused to allow it, but following his instructions, the doctors took him off the ventilator, expecting him to die. But Katherine made Tucker breathe by shear willpower.

Abby recovered and admitted to Ashley that she had set up Tucker and Diane to show Ashley that he was not worthy of her. Meanwhile Nelson called a meeting to announce that Tucker had named Katherine to take over the company as conservator if he were to become incapacitated, and that Tucker had a son whom he had never been able to locate. Katherine took over, and she began to foil Tucker's plans to buy up Newman stock once it went public. She also hired Paul to search for Tucker's son. After Ashley was arrested for the attempted murder of Tucker, Kay got a restraining order to keep Ashley away from Tucker, and fired Ashley from Jabot to protect the company. Realizing that she had been the driver, Abby felt so guilty that she tried to confess, but was not believed. Then Abby made a Naked Heiress video confessing that she had run down Tucker, but Deacon tipped Victor who stopped it, but the tape mysteriously disappeared. Abby went to Victor and offered to give him back her settlement money, hoping it would atone for all the havoc she had caused. Instead, Victor arranged for Abby to be admitted to a rehab facility in Connecticut.

Alone with Ashley, Tucker awakened from his coma recalling that Abby had been the one who ran him down. Ashley convinced him that he was mistaken, and since he appeared to have some brain injury causing him to not understand written sentences or think straight, he went along with it and told the D.A. that he was unsure who was driving. Victor convinced Diane to change her testimony as the only witness to the accident, saying that Ashley was driving but she now did not believe it was intentional as she had claimed at the scene. The D.A. dropped the charges against Ashley. Tucker got mad when Katherine admitted that she had been compelled to fire Ashley and hire Jack rather than accept Victor's offer to buy Jabot. Not long afterward Ashley and Tucker were married in his hospital room without notifying Katherine, Jack, or Abby. Alone again with Ashley, Tucker asked her to take over his company and to not tell anyone how much his thought processes were impaired or the company would nosedive. Ashley assured him he would be back to normal in no time. They eventually had to tell Sofia about his condition.

Jabot's national launch of its new cactus pectin product line and new Jabot logo was held at Fenmore's, and hosted by Lauren, Jill and Michael. The Abbotts were represented by Jack and Abby, and McCall by Katherine. Ashley, who developed the product, was with Tucker who was being dismissed from the hospital and insisted on attending the launch party. Ashley objected, fearful that the reporters and paparazzi would ask him questions and figure out his mental limitations. But Tucker and Ashley arrived to everyone's applause in the middle of Jack's speech, and when Tucker was stymied by a question, he turned things over to Ashley. A reporter asked about their recent marriage, shocking the family and friends who had not yet been told. When asked, Abby covered by telling reporters that rehab had made her realize that her mom deserved to be happy. Later when Jack and Lauren promoted the new products on the talk show "The Talk", the hosts surprised them by including Tucker via satellite, and asking some probing questions about his marriage to the woman who ran him over.

Weeks later, as a judge was considering revocation of conservatorship of Tucker McCall Unlimited he was interrupted by Katherine, who proved that Tucker was not fully recovered. The judge decided not revoke the conservatorship until Tucker could demonstrate his competency. Katherine later told Tucker and Ashley that she was going to have their marriage annulled due to his lack of competency as well.

When questioned by Ashley about his son, Tucker admitted that he had a lot of one-night-stands with groupies when he was on the road with his rock bands. Tucker said he received a note from an unknown groupie telling him that he had a son that he would never know, and he had figured this was payback for growing up without a father himself.

In an attempt to foil Victor and escape her mounting number of enemies in Genoa City, Diane agreed to help Adam frame Victor for Diane's murder; meanwhile she would be alive and rich in Switzerland. Ashley and Abby found out that Diane had the video of Abby's confession, and Tucker commented that Diane should have been dealt with before now. Ashley later met with Diane and Diane offered to give Ashley the video for cash. When Ashley refused, Diane admitted that she had sex with Tucker, and Ashley slapped her. Michael witnessed it and offered Diane money to leave town for her own safety. After Diane received a message that the funds from Adam had been deposited in her Swiss bank account, she sent a text message to everyone who had threatened her to meet her at the footbridge in the park. The next morning, viewers saw those same people looking suspiciously like they had just killed someone. Meanwhile Diane's body floated face down in the stream in the park. Murphy went there to fish, discovered the dead body, and called the police. The autopsy results were that Diane had been hit over the head ten times with a blunt object, an impression of a Harvard ring was found on Diane's arm, and a small key was found in Diane's mouth.

Tucker recalled confronting Diane about Abby's tape and Diane's exposing their one-night-stand to Ashley. Tucker grabbed her by the neck and said he would kill her. But in his weakened condition, Diane was able to shove him to the ground and walk away. Tucker later came up with a rash which he probably got there since the area was full of poison sumac. Abby told Ashley and the police of her suspicion that Tucker had killed Diane, and that he had a rash from poison sumac.

Ashley offered to sign the annulment papers if Kay would sign McCall back over to Tucker, including Jabot. But Kay wanted to sell Jabot to Chancellor for double its market value, so Neil helped convince the Board to approve it, and Katherine gave the contract to Tucker among other things to sign. Tucker made a strong showing at his next competency hearing and was declared competent to run his company again. Then Katherine divulged that Tucker had signed the contract selling her Jabot, and Tucker was put on the spot having to admit he knew what he was doing, or he would have lost his competency decision. Katherine put Jack back in charge of Jabot as CEO.

Katherine had hired Paul Williams to track down the child of her son Tucker. Paul was led by an old photo to another groupie, Amy Koslow, who told him about the groupie known as "Candy Cane," who had a big crush on "Mick", the nickname that McCall went by then, and that when Candy had disappeared, she was rumored to be pregnant. This clue led Paul to discover that "Candy Cane" was Yolanda Hamilton, and that Devon Hamilton Winters was Tucker's son. After reporting the news to Katherine, Paul was told not to tell anyone since Tucker obviously didn't care enough to track him down on his own. Later that same day when Katherine heard that Tucker had fired Devon who worked for Tucker as a record producer, she met with Devon and asked him to become president of a new yet-to-be-named entertainment division of Chancellor Industries. Devon was shocked but accepted the job.

Tucker sabotaged Jabot by getting suppliers to cancel contracts and by creating work stoppages. Jack gathered the suppliers, freight and dock workers together and appealed to their sense of fair play, offering them bonuses if Jabot did well, and they agreed. After Jack told Katherine that he handled it, and she blew up at him, he agreed to Tucker's offer to help Tucker get back Jabot, if Jack would have complete control as CEO.

Eventually Ashley reconciled with Tucker and moved back in with him. Abby agreed to wear a wiretap for Ronan to try to prove that Tucker killed Diane, but instead he overheard Ashley tell Abby that she was with Diane in the park that night. Ashley went to the police station, and admitted that she and Diane had argued about Diane sleeping with Tucker, but when accused of murder, she told Ronan to contact her lawyer. But Ronan had Ashley followed, and the photos that she received of herself in the park with Diane were plucked out of a dumpster by the policeman after Ashley tore them up and threw them away. Ashley and Tucker agreed to be more open with each other, and told Abby to get out of their lives if she couldn't handle their relationship.

Tucker sued Katherine to overturn the sale of Jabot, citing that he could have gotten a better price. Tucker made a deal with Jack that if Tucker won, he would sell Jabot to Jack. Torn by loyalty to Katherine, but bolstered by a visit from his dead father, John, Jack showed the judge a contract to buy Jabot for 50% more than Katherine had paid for it. Deciding that the sale was made under a cloud of secrecy, the judge found in favor of McCall. After the decision, Kay collapsed while yelling at McCall. At the hospital Katherine was unconscious, and it was confirmed that she had a stroke brought on by hypertension.

Outside Katherine's hospital room, Tucker overheard Jill and Katherine's lawyer Mitchell discussing Devon's recent inclusion in Katherine's will, and guessed that Devon was his long lost son. Tucker told Sofia, who told Neil, causing him to resign from Chancellor. Tucker tracked down Devon and told him that he was his father, but he was rebuffed.

Once Katherine regained consciousness and Jill admitted that Tucker now knew about Devon, she yelled at everyone who visited her except for Murphy, until Brock was the voice of reason.

Phyllis broke the story of Devon's paternity in Restless Style, Yolanda saw the webcast, and asked her boss at a Milwaukee diner for time off to see her son. Tucker held a news conference and said that he was happy to welcome Devon, a fine, bright, gifted young man to his family, and that he was looking forward to a relationship with his son.

Yolanda showed up at Devon's, clean and sober, telling him that she finally had her life together, and that she had changed her name to Harmony when she changed her life. Harmony explained that back in the late eighties, she had been jealous that Tucker had taken up with another groupie, and after she gave birth she had let Tucker know that he was a father with an unsigned note. Later after Devon had left, Tucker arrived and was confronted with Harmony. She told Tucker how Rubin, his road manager, had tried to give her cash to have her pregnancy "taken care of". Tucker swore he had not known, and that she should have come to him. Later Tucker apologized to Devon, admitting that he had not tried hard enough to find him, and how guilty he felt for all Devon had gone through when Tucker had the means to change it. Tucker tried to pay off Harmony to leave town, but she refused, was determined to stay and make things up to Devon, and find a way to restore Devon's trust. Katherine ran into Harmony and asked her to stay at her estate while she was in town. Harmony told Devon that she was grateful for the Winters family giving him a secure and loving home, but she respected his wishes to leave and gave Devon her contact information in Milwaukee, assuring him that she would always be there for him if he needed her.

Although Tucker received an anonymous bid for three times what Jack had offered, he went through with his promise and sold Jabot back to Jack. The Abbotts were finally owners of the family company again. Ashley agreed to marry Tucker again with a real wedding this time, Abby agreed to be Ashley's maid of honor, and Jack agreed to walk Ashley down the aisle.

One evening, a text message was sent from Ronan's missing cell phone to all the Diane Jenkins murder suspects except Adam, telling them to meet him at a warehouse. The suspects gathered and the surveillance tape of everyone's encounter with Diane in the park began to play, revealing everyone's secrets from that fateful night. They hid the tape before Ronan arrived. Adam arrived at a pumpkin patch and surmised that Patty Williams had summoned him. Meanwhile, Genevieve's housekeeper, Myrna Murdock, who had been badly burned when Genevieve's house exploded, lay in the hospital covered in bandages except for a cat tattoo; the same tattoo as Patty Williams. Patty had apparently been posing as Myrna, had been tormenting the suspects with information she had gleaned from the stolen park surveillance tapes, and the explosion at the mansion had kept her from joining them at the warehouse.

Tucker and Ashley were married again with Abby and Traci as maid and matron of honor, and Sofia as Tucker's best woman. Devon surprised them all by showing up, joining Jack, Genevieve and Olivia as the only guests. Afterward, Devon admitted to Abby that Neil had reminded him that Devon had wanted to know his father all his life, so to give Tucker a chance. Tucker surprised Ashley with a honeymoon on his private island, and they left the guests to celebrate at Abbott manor without them.

Apparently Tucker had been traveling to Chicago to see Dr. Emily Peterson as a patient. Because of her familiarity with the residents of Genoa City, Tucker was seeking her advice on how to handle his relationship with his newly-found mother and son, Katherine Chancellor and Devon Hamilton. Emily opined that he could not expect Devon to forgive and accept him for not being a part of this childhood if Tucker could not forgive Katherine for not being a part of Tucker's. Tucker brought Katherine her favorite candy Red Hots as a peace offering, but once he saw that Harmony was living there, he immediately decided that she and Kay were plotting to get Devon to their side against him. They had words and then he left. Later that day, Emily showed up for a visit in Genoa City due to Tucker's suggestion, saying that it was unsettling to be back, but long over-due.

A week before Christmas, Sofia and Neil held an impromptu wedding. Neil insisted that Devon attend his conflicting meeting with a big record executive. Devon was shocked when Tucker turned out to be the producer. Devon refused his financial backing, but did agree to accept his advice if he needed it, and they left together for the wedding. After the wedding Neil strangely disappeared without a word, and showed up at Devon's studio, leaving Sofia alone to welcome Devon and Tucker when they finally arrived.

After Victor Newman was sentenced to 25 years to life for the murder of Diane Jenkins, as a Newman Enterprises board member, Tucker McCall held the deciding vote for the new CEO. Although both Adam and Nick Newman tried to persuade him to vote for them, Tucker went with the Harvard graduate, and Adam was elected.

Harmony convinced Tucker to work on reconciling with Katherine, if he ever hoped to have Devon do the same with him. Afterward Tucker went to wish Katherine a happy new year.

Days later, Tucker showed up at the studio to congratulate Devon, and gave him some tips on how to promote his missing singer. Later Neil and Harmony arrived, and they began bonding over music.

Adam decided to sell Beauty of Nature and proposed a deal to Tucker to help him outbid Jack in exchange for a job at McCall. Then Jack offered to top any offer, with the bonus of giving Adam the satisfaction of allowing both of them to get back at Victor. As Victor's new wife and under his instruction, Sharon cast the deciding board vote to allow Beauty of Nature to be sold. It turned out that Tucker had made a deal with the SEC, to avenge the things that Adam had done to Ashley in the past. Tucker was helping Victor set up Adam to be caught guilty of insider trading by the SEC as Adam was to call Tucker with the amount of the high bid, for Tucker to outbid and win. But Sharon discovered what was going on, and that Victor was only using her. Torn between her loyalty to both, she finally decided that she was sick of all the manipulation, and Sharon warned Adam that he was being set up. The next morning, Michael told Victor that Adam had escaped the setup, and that Victor had lost Beauty of Nature. When the bids were opened, Jack's fiancée, Genevieve under the name of FMN holding company, emerged as the new owner of Beauty of Nature. The next morning Victor expressed his disappointment in Sharon's loyalty to Adam, and had their marriage annulled. When Adam refused to sign Victor's proffered letter of resignation, Victor assigned him to an office in the men's restroom.

Ronan subpoenaed all of the Diane Jenkins murder suspects, and he and the DA questioned them about the evidence that still did not add up after it was discovered that Nikki had killed Diane in self defense. When no one would confess to taking Deacon's stash of stolen evidence or having any knowledge of the embroidered pillows found in Diane's room, the DA arrested them all for obstruction of justice. But they were all released later that day. Patty Williams was later discovered to have been the missing link in the Diane Jenkins murder, all charges were dropped against all suspects, including Nikki, once Ronan was able to convince the D.A. that Nikki was not responsible. Deacon remained in jail. Patty was sent to a maximum security prison hospital.

After Devon confided in Harmony that he was having some trouble hearing the finer parts of the tracks in editing Angelina's song, Harmony suggested to Tucker that he look further into some Cochlear implant research that his company was already funding to help Devon. Devon initially refused help from Tucker when he found out, but Harmony and Neil talked him into giving Tucker a chance to help his son. Devon was scheduled for surgery, and Tucker let Devon use his private jet to go to Dallas. Devon asked Neil and Harmony to accompany him. Katherine thanked Tucker for doing this for his son, and Tucker touched Katherine lovingly, and said "Thanks, Mom." Later Tucker convinced Devon to allow him to go along, saying that he needed to be there "to make sure everything goes all right."

The evening before Devon's surgery, while at a restaurant in Dallas, Tucker toasted Devon saying he had "such great respect the man who happens to be my son." But seeing how wound up Harmony was, and how she and Neil were enjoying each other, Tucker warned her not to get involved with Neil, and that he was looking out for Sofia, his oldest friend. Harmony claimed that she was not high nor after Neil. Devon had a transducer successfully implanted in each middle ear, but came out of surgery temporarily deaf, as expected. Devon went home to heal for a few weeks before the devices were to be turned on. Devon presented Angelina with a new song which after hearing, she went home and wrote new lyrics echoing how she felt about her imminent breakup with Kevin. They decided to put some country flavor into it, and called it "Good, Goodbye". Unable to edit the tracks himself, Devon asked Tucker for help while he was deaf. Tucker agreed and was excited about collaborating together. At the sound board, Tucker and Devon further bonded. They finished the song and cut the CD. When Katherine witnessed their bond over music, she told Tucker how his father Judge Hendricks also had loved music, but had become a lawyer due to parental pressure.

After being together on the dissenting side of a Newman Board vote which seemed suspicious, Tucker and Lauren decided to work together in the future. Tucker and Sofia staged a fight in Victoria's presence, and Sofia was fired. Sofia then asked Victoria for a job with Beauty of Nature but was turned down.

Later Tucker and Genevieve reminisced about being a couple when they were teenagers, her love of wine coolers, how he had wanted to be rich and she wanted to travel. Tucker reminded her about secrets that they shared, and how she had broken his heart when he had thought he could trust her. It was later revealed that Genevieve had left Tucker when they were young because she didn't think he could give her the life she wanted. After she married Colin and her life fell apart, Genevieve became overwhelmed and checked herself into a mental hospital, where Tucker had visited her every day.

Tucker made Genevieve an offer for Beauty of Nature. Genevieve admitted that Tucker was the frontrunner in the sale if she could stay on at the company. Tucker and Sofia staged a fight in Victoria's presence, and Sofia was fired. Sofia then asked Victoria for a job with Beauty of Nature but was turned down. When Neil offered Sofia a job at Chancellor, she admitted that it was all part of a plot to get inside information to help Tucker buy Beauty of Nature from Genevieve. Sofia still worked for Tucker, and deception and underhandedness had always been part of her job. But Genevieve ended up selling to Victor. Tucker later ran into Genevieve, accusing her of going for the money in Victor and deceiving him into believing that he ever had a chance to get Beauty of Nature, then warned her to be careful with Victor.

When the implant devices were finally turned on, the whole family was there to rejoice that Devon was able hear clearly again. Devon's first request was to hear Angelina's new song, and he was amazed that thanks to Tucker it sounded the way he had heard it in his head.

The SEC began an investigation into the legality of the sale of Beauty of Nature by Adam to begin with, and an investigation as to where Genevieve got the money to buy it. Genevieve went to Tucker, and asked him to testify that he had loaned her the money for the sale, but he refused. Ashley, already upset with Tucker's underhanded business dealings, discovered that Tucker and Genevieve had a past together, but he had never bothered to tell her, and so she walked out in a snit. Tucker was cheered up by Harmony, and they ended up in bed together, when Ashley suddenly walked in on them. Devon took both Tucker and Harmony to task for disillusioning him about how they had both changed and they could be a family. Tucker begged Ashley for forgiveness, but she told him that it was too late, he was out of chances, and that they were through. They admitted how much they loved each other, Abby intervened, and Tucker left. Tucker turned down a woman who tried to pick him up in a bar, while Abby tried to convince Ashley to take him for all he was worth. Still in love with Tucker, Ashley considered reconciling, but realized that she could never trust him. Telling Tucker, "Sometimes love isn't enough." Ashley filed for divorce.

By the date of the annual gala Angelina had backed out of her appearance. Kay called Danny, but he was busy touring Europe. Tucker and Harmony put their heads together and were able to book the band 'The Wanted'. But just before the gala was to begin, Tucker informed Chloe and Abby that the band had been grounded in Las Vegas by a windstorm. And as they anxiously awaited tables, chairs and decorations to arrive, Carmine was sabotaging the gala by delaying the truck as revenge for losing Angelina. Attendees began receiving texts messages that the gala had been postponed. Abby was mortified over what it would do to her image.

After taking Chloe to the alley on the pretence that he had heard the truck, Carmine locked Chloe in the trunk of his car. While he went back inside for his forgotten cell phone, Abby let Chloe out. And while Chloe went to call the police, Abby took her place in the trunk. Abby began to tweet her fans that she had been kidnapped and to call the police, hoping to take the spotlight off the failed gala. Carmine heard the news broadcast that he was kidnapping suspect of Abby. He stopped and let her out of the trunk, and offered to take her home. Abby flirted with Carmine and got him all flustered. Abby took over, threw their cell phones away so they could not be tracked, and made him check into a motel under an assumed name. Tucker came to comfort Ashley at the Newman ranch and held her while she grieved her daughter's kidnapping. But Victor was convinced that it was publicity stunt. At the motel, Carmine and Abby began calling each other names, each accused the other of pulling a boneheaded move. Abby promised to go public in a day's time. Under pressure from Ashley, Victor relented and hired a helicopter and brought in Ronan Malloy with the FBI to find Abby. After circumstances went from bad to worse with no cash and no change of clothes but the overalls Carmine had bought her, Abby called Ashley. When they returned to Genoa City, Abby was arrested for 911 abuse by getting her fans to call for her hoax abduction. Although Tucker thought their renewed closeness meant a reconciliation, Ashley asked him to sign the divorce papers.

The theme of the 2012 annual Chancellor 4th of July pool party/barbeque turned out to be forgiveness. While Murphy tended the grill, Devon forgave Katherine and Tucker, with Roxanne and Ana beaming their approval. Ashley had forgiven Tucker so they attended together, and Sofia told Neil that if he wanted Harmony he needed to pursue her. Harmony tried to reconcile with Ashley, but she refused to forgive her.

Avery tried to get Sharon to sign a post-nup document assuring the board that his new marriage would not create a strain in the organization in Victor's absence. After talking to Tucker, Sharon refused to sign. Tucker informed her that she had power and they were trying to take away. With Tucker's help behind the scenes, Sharon arrived at the emergency Newman Board meeting, and citing a pertinent court decision used Victor's proxy rights to take over the company as CEO. Nick and Victoria were livid, but they faced a press conference with stoic faces as Sharon announced that she was now in charge. Sharon called off the search for Victor being conducted by Newman security, and Tucker hired Genevieve to find Victor. Meanwhile Tucker made more plans to take over Newman in Victor's absence, buying up stock at falling prices and continuing to set Sharon up to fail by suggesting she fire Nick.

After a favorable interview became a hatchet job in the press, Sharon accused Nick, who called her a brat and she fired him. An emergency board meeting was held, and they voted to ask Sharon to step down, but Tucker exposed himself as her puppet master by suggesting that the board support the new CEO with their experience. Afterward, Tucker returned to Sharon's office, where Sharon threw herself at him. Tucker stopped her saying they had to keep it business to succeed.

Sharon began stealing items from stores and people and put them in a marble-top box. She stole concert tickets from Summer's purse to add to her stash. Victoria found them, and she and Nick took Sharon to court to try to convince the judge to remove Sharon as CEO because of her mental instability. The judge made Victoria interim CEO, and gave Sharon 24 hours to go to Fairview and get clean bill of mental health to get her CEO position back. Afterward Sharon showed up at Tucker's, who carried her to his bed. When Adam showed up later, Sharon appeared in the bedroom doorway in her underwear and Tucker's shirt. The next morning in his bed, Tucker "helped" Sharon to decide to go to Fairview. Meanwhile Victoria rehired Nick, and the board approved an agreement that she and Nick could not be fired without board approval. Newman stock began to climb, until Sharon was reinstated. According to plan, Tucker bought more shares of Newman under dummy corporations.

As news of Victor's death spread, Newman stock plummeted, family members began to grieve. Jack's stockbroker called the margin on his Newman stock which Jack could not cover after leveraging everything he owned. Tucker kept buying stock, expecting that he could get Sharon to step down, name him CEO, and Newman and its stock would then flourish. Jack approached Tucker to buy Beauty of Nature to bail himself out, and Tucker bought it. Sharon identified the burned body as Victor, although it wasn't him, convinced that Victor had set up his death. The family was livid to discover that Sharon had sent it to be cremated immediately. Tucker convinced Sharon to marry him and run Newman together. Sharon arranged a quickie memorial service and texted Victor's friends and family members to be there.

Genevieve returned with Victor where he found Nikki weeping at his grave, and they reunited. Afterward, Victor walked in on the wedding of Sharon and Tucker, stopped it, and told her to get her things out of his house. Victor's friends and family were thrilled to see him, and he held a press conference to assure the world that he was alive and back as CEO and chairman of the board of Newman.

Tucker blew off Genevieve and stopped her payments because she had brought Victor back. But she later overheard Jack threaten to expose Tucker to the FCC for his dealings with Newman stock, and joined forces with Jack to help him get back Beauty of Nature. They confronted Tucker and gave him an ultimatum, to sell back Beauty of Nature or they would go to the FCC.

Victor had Sharon arrested for fraud, conspiracy, and giving false statements to the police. Tucker visited Sharon, said he was sorry and that he cared about her, but she turned him away. Katherine made derogatory comments to Tucker, and Devon told him that he was not a good person. Katherine told him that she had been proud that Tucker McCall, her son, had built his own empire without her help. She had been honored to pass on her legacy, but had now decided to cut Tucker out of her will, and told him it now would go to his son, Devon, instead. Harmony was more understanding, but told him that she was ashamed of him for using a woman as he had Sharon. Afterward, Tucker told Jack and Genevieve to "give it their best shot", and Jack called the SEC and turned Tucker in. Tucker in turn, went to Victor and offered to give him Beauty of Nature in exchange for Sharon's freedom. After some thought, Victor accepted so long as Sharon would give him an immediate annulment and drop the abandonment lawsuit. Sharon gave testimony to the SEC against Tucker, but after he pulled some strings and got off. After Sharon discovered what Tucker had done for her, she recanted her testimony. Victor discovered that in his absence, Sharon had sold a number of his shares of Newman – enough that he was no longer the largest shareholder and at risk of takeover. Jack and Tucker joined forces and with Adam's support too, Jack took over Newman. Jack fired Victor, Nick and Victoria.

Genevieve went to a mystery woman's room after receiving a phone call invitation, finding the room in a shambles and blood on the floor. She went to Cane for help, and they brought back the police. But when Genevieve became a suspect in the woman's disappearance, and a body was found in an alley nearby, Genevieve confided in Tucker that she was leaving town and disappearing. He gave her some cash, she thanked him, and they kissed goodbye.

Tucker asked Jill to return to from Australia to rescue Katherine from returning to the CEO position at Chancellor. Although suspicious of Tucker's motives, Jill was able to convince Katherine of their concern for Katherine's heath and that she cared. The three met over lunch where Jill proposed that she and Katherine become Co-CEO's of Chancellor, and Katherine agreed.

Katherine caught Tucker sneaking out after spending the night with Jill. Jill took up for Tucker and tried to get Katherine to reconcile with him. While arguing Katherine had a heart episode, and Jill thinking she was faking again, walked away. But she came back later, and was able to awaken Katherine who said she merely had a headache. Tucker showed up at the Chancellor Estate Christmas 2012 with gifts for Delia, Jill, and Katherine. Jill helped him to get Katherine to agree to have dinner with him. Jill warned Tucker that her doctor had told her to cut out stress in her life, so he had better behave. Katherine ended up telling Tucker that he could regain her favor only if he could prove himself to Devon.

Telling Devon he couldn't imagine him fitting into the corporate world, Tucker offered Devon a job as head of publicity for the recording artists at McCall Music Division. Devon saw it as trying to buy his favor again and refused. Tucker interrupted Katherine and Murphy on their dinner date, causing Murphy to get so upset that he started to choke. Tucker saved Murphy, and Katherine thanked and hugged Tucker. Tucker admitted to Katherine that he knew he needed to change, that he realized he had chased away Ashley, the only person he had ever connected with. And that he needed to get to know his mother and his son, and would never stop trying.

Tucker made a deal with Victor to sell him half his shares of Newman stock, enough for Victor to regain control, to make amends to Katherine. Victor accepted the deal but warned Tucker not to double cross Katherine. Tucker met with Adam after finding out that Jack had stepped down as Newman CEO. Adam proposed they oust Billy and he and Tucker stop Victor, but Tucker declined.

Tucker visited Katherine, who from her responses was obviously having some memory problems. Tucker told Katherine that he was leaving for Hong Kong. He said that he forgave her for giving him up as a baby, and that he was grateful for the time they had had together, the good and bad. Asking her to promise to take care of herself, Tucker tearfully hugged her goodbye. Katherine tried to tell him how she felt, but couldn't, then burst into tears after he had left.

In August 2013, Tucker was visited in Hong Kong by Katherine and Murphy on the final stop of their trip around the world. They went to dinner which was described by Murphy as cordial, almost pleasant. Afterward Murphy and Katherine sang together in a karaoke bar and got a standing ovation, but later that same night Katherine died in her sleep. A celebration of her life was held September third, but Tucker sent his regrets. Devon mentioned that he had been in touch with him, and that Tucker was having a hard time dealing with the loss. Days later when Katherine's will was read, Tucker was bequeathed only her vinyl record collection.

Two years later, Jill returned from Hong Kong telling how she and Tucker had spent the anniversary of Katherine's death at the same karaoke bar, singing all the songs they could think of that she would have sung.

In 2019, Tucker disappeared, leaving his company failing without him. Tucker was said to have gone on a spiritual journey to Thailand, suffering from adverse affects of technology with symptoms of electromagnetic hyper-sensitivity. Devon tracked Tucker down to an ashram there, where he said he had given up material things. He also denied having anything to do with the allegation that he had paid Katherine Chancellor's attorney David Sherman to alter 2 pages of her will six years prior, which left the bulk of her estate to Devon instead of Cane Ashby. It was later discovered to have been a scam by Colin Atkinson, and Tucker was not involved. After Devon returned home, he started getting frantic phone calls from board members of Tucker's company claiming that employees were siphoning profits from the company.
