Born August 28, 1961, Jennifer Coolidge is an American actress known for her work across the comedy genre with roles in the American Pie film series, the Legally Blonde film series, and more. She made her debut in 1993 on the small screen with a role on Seinfeld. She soon earned her first movie roles in 1995 and kept earning small roles across film and television, finally getting her big break in 1999 with her role in American Pie. That changed the course of her career as she earned bigger roles across both mediums, including a role in Legally Blonde, a Cinderella Story, and more.


By the mid to late 2000s, Jennifer Coolidge was well-established as a regular comedy actress even earning a role on Friends and Joey, making her name as a well-known supporting actress. Jennifer Coolidge was born in Boston and raised in raised in Norwell, Massachusetts, attending high school in Norwell before going to Cambridge School of Weston. She then attended Emerson College in Boston and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Coolidge worked as a waitress, initially, to support herself before she earned her first role in 1993 on Seinfeld. She then became a regular on She TV, a short-lived sketch comedy, which earned her small roles in various films including Not of This Earth, A Bucket of Blood, Plump Fiction, and more.


Coolidge kept getting small roles before earning her first recurring role on King of the Hill while working with The Groundlings, an improv and sketch comedy troupe. However, in 1999, she finally got her break on American Pie and that lead to more and more roles for the actress. She reprised her role in American Pie 2, earned another role in Legally Blonde before reprising her role again for Legally Blonde 2.


Since then, Coolidge has continued her roles in the American Pie film series and moved on to other films as well appearing in A Cinderella Story alongside roles on Frasier, Desperate Housewives, and more. Not only that, she also starred in an episode on Friends in the early 2000s and then earned a recurring role on Joey before the series was eventually canceled. She moved on to supporting roles from the mid-2000s with roles in Date Movie, Epic Movie, Living Proof and more alongside roles on The Closer and Thank God You’re Here.


From the 2010s onwards, Coolidge began to do stand-up comedy alongside her acting, earning roles in Two Broke Girls until it was canceled six years later and appeared in another American Pie film. Not only that, she also had a voice role in Alvin and the Chipmunks, starred in Ariana Grande’s music video “Thank U Next” and more roles across film and television.
