Danielle Mone’ Truitt is an American actress known for her work across theater, television, and film. A native of Sacramento, California, she studied Theatre and Dance at Sacramento State University. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her professional career. Truitt began her journey on the stage and has since expanded her work into various entertainment mediums that highlight her skills as a versatile actor, singer, and dancer.


She is best known for her portrayals of Rebecca Knight in the 2017 BET crime drama series “Rebel,” Charlie Minnick in the 2020 Fox action drama series “Deputy,” and Sergeant Ayanna Bell in the NBC mystery crime franchise “Law & Order.” She is also involved in several community outreach and artist support initiatives.

Truitt's on-screen debut is in John Alexander Jimenez’s 2005 action film “Fugitive Hunter,” where she portrayed Patrice. Since then, she has also appeared in the 2009 comedy fantasy “See Dick Run” as Helen and in the 2013 romantic drama “Stolen Moments” as Erin. She also contributed to Disney’s production of “The Princess and the Frog (2009),” by being the video reference model for Princess Tiana. Truitt also voiced Georgia’s character in the film. Moreover, she also voiced Georgia in the video game based on the film.

Truitt’s first role on television was as Miss T in the 2014 comedy series “Super Fun Night.” She also guest-starred as Dr. Angela Douglas in 2020 in the NBC medical drama series “Chicago Med.” However, her most recognizable role is as Rebecca Knight in the drama series “Rebel (2017).” Knight is a former cop currently working as a private investigator, while also grappling with the tragic loss of her brother at the hands of her fellow officers.


More recently, she has portrayed Sergeant Ayanna Bell in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2021-2022),” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021- 2024).” Sergeant Bell is the commanding officer at the Organized Crime Control Bureau (OCCB).
