Vertical GH Soap Banner Haley Pullos announces new role on Scorpion, addresses GH status

General Hospital's Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing) teases her upcoming episode of the CBS drama Scorpion and responds to the rumor she's leaving daytime.

Popular CBS drama series Scorpion is getting a soapy addition later this month when General Hospital actress Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing) makes a guest-starring appearance.

Pullos let the cat out of the bag via Twitter, sharing not only the airdate of her special episode (Monday, January 22) but also the tease that the role gave her the opportunity to her stretch her wings as an actress -- and possibly a person.

"hiiii everyone!! so now thats its official on IMDb, i figured id let ya all know to look for me in an upcoming episode of @ScorpionCBS airing january 22!" she wrote. "itll be crazy guys, i got to do something ive never done before while filming this... don't miss it!!!!"

Scorpion is loosely based on the life of computer expert Walter O'Brien (Elyes Gabel) and follows Walter and his friends as they help each other solve complex global problems and save lives.

Meanwhile, for fans wondering if Pullos is leaving GH in the wake of landing a guest-starring role on a primetime series, the answer is no. The California native responded to that very question on Twitter when a fan asked her if she was leaving GH or even considering walking away from the ABC soap opera.

Pullos landed the role of GH's Molly in 2009. She has since starred in a variety of other projects, including Mr. Student Body President, A Royal Christmas Ball, Instant Mom, and Growing Up Fisher.

What do you think about Pullos being cast on Scorpion? Are you relieved to hear she has no plans to leave GH? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
