General Hospital's Billy Miller (Drew Cain) has landed a role on Reese Witherspoon's Apple series Are You Sleeping, sparking concerns that he may be leaving the ABC soap.

General Hospital's Billy Miller (Drew Cain; ex-Billy Abbott, The Young and the Restless) has landed a new job, and fans aren't exactly sure how to feel about it. Should they celebrate his new acting opportunity or mourn the possible loss of the actor from the ABC soap's canvas?

TV Line reports that the Daytime Emmy winner has landed a recurring role in Are You Sleeping, a thriller set to air on Apple's upcoming streaming service.

Based on the true-crime novel of the same name by Kathleen Barber, Are You Sleeping -- which counts Reese Witherspoon among its executive producers -- follows Poppy Parnell (Octavia Spencer), a relentless investigative reporter who looks to uncover the truth behind a decades-old questionable murder verdict through her new podcast. The series will provide a unique glimpse into America's obsession with true-crime podcasts and challenges its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage.

Lizzy Caplan is set to play Josie and Lanie, twin sisters whose father's murder decades ago is examined on the podcast. Miller will play Lanie's husband, Alex Dunn. Other stars include Aaron Paul, Elizabeth Perkins, Mekhi Phifer, Michael Beach, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, Ron Cephas Jones, Brettu Cullen, and Moon Bloodgood.

Though the casting news is certainly exciting for Miller and fans, it's unclear how the actor's part in Are You Sleeping will affect his status at GH. Fingers crossed he'll be pulling double duty and can do both series at the same time, much like he's done in the past for his recurring roles on series like Ray Donovan and Suits.
