As we wait for Invincible Season 4, set for this March, the internet is rife with fan speculations about the upcoming season. Despite being two months away, fans are formulating their own theories or looking at the source material. The return to the 144-issue comic book series has several fans speculating where the animated series is going to go in the future.

Many have also recognized the pattern that the Prime Video animated series has followed in the previous three seasons. By looking back at the comics, fans have theorized that the following characters would meet their makers in Invincible Season 4.

Fans have theorized that these three characters will die in Invincible Season 4:

Fans pointed out the possibility of three characters dying in Invincible Season 4. These three characters are:

  • Conquest

Fans met Conquest for the first time in the closing minutes of Invincible Season 3, Episode 7, "What Have I Done?" The penultimate episode of season 3 ends with Mark and Conquest flying towards each other in the middle of the city. However, they land the first punch in the opening of the season 3 finale, "I Thought You'd Never Shut Up".

Conquest is a challenging foe for Mark, and it takes the combined might of Invincible and Atom Eve to bring him down. Mark initially believes that he killed Conquest, but the last scene of the season 3 finale reveals that Cecil Stedman has imprisoned a weakened and unconscious Conquest, setting the stage for Invincible Season 4.

In the comics, Conquest escapes his confinement as soon as his health is restored and returns to Viltrum. He asks forgiveness from Thragg for failing in his mission, and the latter orders Conquest to kill Nolan, Oliver, Mark Grayson, and their allies.

In this rematch, Conquest triggers Mark by trying to kill Oliver in front of Invincible, forcing the half-human, half-Viltrum hero to choke his challenging Viltrumite foe. This is a moment we will get in either Invincible Season 4 or the fifth one.

  • Rus Livingston

Rus Livingston is a human astronaut exploring Mars. In the fourth episode of Invincible Season 1, we see Rus being left behind on the red planet, as a shape-shifting Martian masquerades as him. The mind-controlling Sequids possess Rex in Season 1, Episode 4, "Neil Armstrong, Eat Your Heart Out". The heroes are unaware of the real Rus until Invincible Season 2, Episode 6, "It's Not That Simple".

They rescue the real astronaut in the second season's sixth episode, only for him to be tragically repossessed by the Sequids in the last scene. It sets up the Sequid invasion plotline in the fourth season. This storyline in the comics begins with the possessed Rus invading the Earth. The guardians try their best to fight off the invading force, and Mark tries to separate Rus from the hive.

But Mark realizes that there's no way to separate Rus from the hive, forcing him to take the mind-controlled astronaut's life. Killing Rus is one of Mark's most traumatizing moments in the comics.

  • Thaedus

Invincible Season 3 introduced something unique that not many fans expected: a good Viltrumite named Thaedus. We get very little of him, but it seems Thaedus is one of the few Viltrumites who has managed to survive for thousands of years despite defying the empire openly. He is the one who killed Emperor Argall thousands of years ago and formed the Coalition of Planets.

Now, Nolan, Mark, Allen, and the other heroes are set to join Thaedus in destabilizing and bringing down the Viltrum Empire. Grand Regent Thragg, who survives the destruction of Viltrum, kills Thaedus in rage. Thaedus's possible death in season 4 could push Allen to ascend as the new Coalition of Planets leader.

"While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves, setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever."

Where do you think Invincible Season 4 is going? Let us know. While we wait for the fourth season, binge the previous three seasons on Prime Video.
