The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless all garnered an audience increase this month, but which is soaring highest?

April showers bring May flowers, but what does May bring? Apparently, a pretty significant increase in soap opera viewing.

The ratings are out for part of this year's May Sweeps (May 11 through May 15), and all four daytime soaps managed to bring in an increase of viewership.

The Young and the Restless, which mainly focused on the Double Jacks (Peter Bergman) storyline, was up 290,000 and totaled nearly 5 million viewers. The Bold and the Beautiful, which focused on Maya's (Karla Mosley) journey of revealing she's transgender, was up 225,000 and neared nearly 4 million total viewers.

Meanwhile, the General Hospital Nurse's Ball and Duke Lavery's (Ian Buchanan) death brought the ABC soap an increase of 99,000 viewers, bringing its total to just under 3 million. And Days of our Lives, which focused on Kristen's (Eileen Davidson) return/demise and her part in stealing Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa's (Jen Lilley) baby, drew in an additional 49,000 viewers, bringing its total up to nearly 2.5 million.
