Y&R and B&B start 2017 with great ratings

2017 may have just started, but it's already been a banner year for CBS's two daytime drama series. The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have notched impressive ratings totals.

The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless have started off 2017 with season highs in total viewers, according to Nielsen's live plus same day ratings. For the week ending January 6, 2017, both CBS soaps have something to celebrate.

The Young and the Restless maintains its title as the top-rated soap. 4.98 million viewers tuned in from January 2 to January 6. That marks Y&R's largest audience since April 8, 2016.

The Bold and the Beautiful, meanwhile, had 4.07 million viewers watching what the Forresters, Spencers, and Logans were up to. That total is the largest audience B&B has had since the same week in 2016.
