Kids adventure projects are riding a high at the moment (here's looking at you, Stranger Things), so the timing is perfect for the release of F.R.E.D.I, a new science fiction film starring Days of our Lives and General Hospital star Tyler Christopher (Stefan DiMera, ex-Nikolas Cassadine) and The Bold and the Beautiful's Texas Battle (ex-Marcus Walton).
The family-friendly sci-fi film follows an intelligent, lovable robot known as "F.R.E.D.I." who's stolen from a secret research facility by the project's lead scientist. The robot is found by a fifteen-year-old teenager, James Nash (Lucius Hoyos). Soon, the two begin to communicate and create a bond in which F.R.E.D.I. learns about teenage life and James learns about some new values.
The first teaser trailer for the Sean Olson-directed film is making the rounds, and it's not just fans that are excited about it.
"Finally here!" Christopher tweeted. He will be playing Randy Nash (James's dad, based on the shared last name and teaser trailer). "Very proud of this."
Additional details about the film seem to be scarce at this time. However, additional cast members include Kelly Hu (ex-Rae Chang, Sunset Beach), Angus Macfayden, Reid Miller, Casimere Jollette, Christina Cox, Harvey Guillen, and Candace Cameron Bure.
