Last weekend, a number of former Santa Barbara castmates got together in Marina Del Rey to pay tribute to the late Nicolas Coster (Lionel Lockridge), who passed away on June 26 at the age of 89.
Vincent Irizarry (Scott) posted a tribute on his Facebook page, along with photos from the memorial, as well as several from Coster's life.
"A beautiful day sharing in the memories of a truly beautiful man, Nicolas Coster with those who knew and loved him," he wrote. "Great thanks to his wonderful wife, Elena Coster, for offering us all the opportunity to memorialize our dear friend, her greatly loved and missed husband. It really was a very special day of sharing, crying, celebrating, and joyful gratitude for having had him in our lives for a time."
On hand were Santa Barbara faves A Martinez (Cruz), Robin Mattson (Gina), and Harley Jane Kozak (Mary). Terri Ivens (AMC's Simone) was also part of the memorial.
"It was also wonderful seeing some of my past and beloved cast members and friends from the many #daytimetv shows I've been blessed to be a part of over the decades," Irizarry said. "It was a blessed day all around, one I'm grateful to have been a part of... RIP, dear Nicolas, knowing you were truly loved."
Copies of Coster's memoir, Another Whole Afternoon, were available at the memorial, and his former co-stars had plenty of wonderful things to say about the daytime vet.
