Amanda proceeds with her plans to trick Jamie into marrying her. She is waiting for Jamie, sans clothing, when he comes home. Jamie does his best to ignore her nudity. He tells Amanda that he needs to study for his classes and intends to cancel their vacation. Amanda tries to talk him into reconsidering but Jamie is adamant that his studies need to come first. He asks her to get dressed so that he can concentrate on his books instead of her. Amanda decides to don his lab coat and play doctor, effectively distracting Jamie from his studies. After they make love, Jamie spots something half hidden under the couch. He asks Amanda about it and she nervously tries to divert his attention away. Her efforts have the opposite effect. Jamie's interest is piqued and he continues to question her about the items. Before Jamie can reach for them, Amanda quickly lies and tells him that the washing machine was broken so she brought her dirty laundry over to his place to wash. Jamie believes her and decides to return to his studies. Amanda offers to pack for their vacation and after a bit of cajoling, she is finally able to convince Jamie to reluctantly agree to taking the trip she has planned.

At the bar, Babe tells Josh about Amanda's wedding plans and her concerns over the exchange she witnessed between Amanda and someone she felt found of questionable character. Josh advises Babe to stay out of Jamie's business, reminding her that he's a big boy and able to take care of himself. Josh goes on to suggest that instead of worrying about Jamie, Babe should be concentrating on herself. He decides to take her upstairs to the attic which is being renovated. He gives her a pep talk about going back to the person she was before her relationship with Jamie ended. Josh offers to help Babe live her life again. One thing leads to another and Josh leans down to kiss Babe. Initially, Babe responds but then pulls away. She tells Josh that she's not ready to be more than friends with him. Josh is understanding and offers Babe friendship until she is ready for more. He also tells her that he will wait for her.

Greenlee is stunned when Jonathan calls her. Standing next to Greenlee, Ryan senses Greenlee's upset and takes the phone from her. As Greenlee listens to Ryan speak to Jonathan, she realizes that Ryan knew Jonathan was alive all along. After Ryan ends the call, he tries to explain that he was just about to tell her about Jonathan, but Greenlee is still having difficulty grappling with the idea that Jonathan is still alive. When Greenlee jumps to the false conclusion that Ryan saved Jonathan from the cave and lied and then faked his death in order to protect his brother, Ryan is forced to tell her what happened. Greenlee listens as Ryan tells her about Jonathan's the anti-psychotic medication he was wrongly prescribed and the brain tumor but it has little impact on her. She doesn't feel any of that makes the murder of three people ok. She is shocked when Ryan tells her about his plans to bring Jonathan back to Pine Valley and asks Ryan if he's out of his mind. Ryan tries to explain that he is only trying to give Jonathan the second chance that Jonathan gave to him. They are interrupted by Jackson's arrival. Ryan is surprised when he learns that Jack has divorce papers with him. Ryan tells Greenlee that he loves her and will accept whatever decision she makes and seems somewhat shocked when Greenlee asks Jack for a pen so that she can sign the divorce papers. Ryan once again tells Greenlee that he loves her and quietly leaves. Jack consoles Greenlee, assuring her that she made the right choice.

After Julia kisses Zach, she propositions him. He gently turns her down but Julia doesn't accept it. She pushes him until Zach is forced to tell her in no uncertain terms that he does not want her. Zach then suggests to Julia that deep down, she doesn't really want to be intimate with him either. He suggests that she's been through too much and isn't ready for what she is asking for. Julia disagrees. She tells him that she wants to live and feel again. Zach poses a question. Would she really feel any differently if he made love to her all night long? Julia thinks about it and admits that she probably wouldn't. Unfortunately, Julia then makes the mistake of switching the topic of conversation to Kendall and referring to her as a skank. Zach doesn't appreciate it and lets her know. He suggests to her that she leave. When Julia alludes to returning to the casino in order to gamble some more, Zach makes it clear to her that she is not welcomed at his tables. Julia realizes that his animosity stems from her comments about Kendall. She finds it rather laughable that Zach obviously has feelings for his wife.

Upset after seeing Zach and Julia kissing, Kendall goes to see JR. Half dressed and drinking heavily, JR is surprised to see Kendall walk into his bedroom. She tells him that she knows it's late but she needed someone. She asks JR if he would be that person. Sensing Kendall's upset, JR goes to her and they embrace. Kendall tells JR about what she walked in on when she went to Zach's office. JR surprises Kendall when he suddenly tells her it's his fault. JR explains his comment by telling Kendall that he didn't save Kendall from falling in love with Zach. Kendall is momentarily surprised but doesn't deny that she's in love with Zach. Instead, Kendall is disgusted with herself for allowing herself to fall for her husband. JR suggests that it's not too late to fix things and passionately kisses Kendall. Kendall initially responds but then pulls away. As she is explaining why being intimate with JR would be wrong, she lets it slip about being pregnant. JR is shocked and demands some answers from Kendall. Kendall confides all the details of her pregnancy to him including that Ryan doesn't yet know she's pregnant with he and Greenlee's child. JR tells Kendall that as much as she is a part of the baby, it's not her decision to tell Ryan that he's going to be a father. It's Greenlee's choice to make on whether or not Ryan finds out. JR then offers to be someone whom Kendall can turn to in whatever capacity that she may need him. As they continue to talk about all of the problems that Kendall is facing, she is suddenly stuck by inspiration. Cryptically, she tells JR that she now knows how she can save herself from Zach.

Ryan started his day by pouring beer on his cereal at the bar. Julia came in and told him that he didn't look like he could be saved any more than she could. She told Ryan that nine years ago today she witnessed the shooting that took her life too. Ryan told Julia that in the nine years she was gone, he was married to Gillian and lived at Wildwind. Julia told Ryan that she hated what he did, but he may be the only one who understood her. She cried and said it wasn't fair that she felt so dead inside and she ran upstairs with Ryan following. She laid her head on his shoulder and asked what she was going to do.

David went to see Di to say he was sorry. He told her that he knew she wasn't Dixie from the beginning. Di told him to get lost and he said that he would rather have half of Dixie's sister than none at all. He pledged to do whatever it took to protect her and keep her safe. Di told David that there could be nothing between them but hate. He told her that he saw her in a whole new light. He said that she had no job or friends and the people in PV would rather die than forgive and forget. Just then, Del came to the door and told her that he cut a great book deal based on her life. The doorbell rang and Palmer stopped by to ask if Di had no shame. Derek came and arrested Di for fraud.

Babe returned to the place she saw the man sell Amanda the drug to slip to Jamie. Josh told Babe that Jamie isn't her concern just as Babe spotted the culprit. Josh saw the guy and told Babe that it was the same guy he saw at a concert who offered him some of his "goods." Babe told Josh about the time that J.R. drugged her to make her look like a whore so he could divorce her. She told Josh that she was going over to confront the guy, but Josh said that he would do it. Josh sat down with the guy and told him that he was an undercover narcotics agent. He said he was working a sting and wanted information on the brunette he sold to the other day. He demanded that he tell him the information. Later, Babe thanked him for helping her.

Amanda had a nightmare about her mother pulling her away from Jamie and dragging her home. She woke up screaming and told Jamie about the dream. Jamie told Amanda that she was an adult and couldn't live her life for her mom. Amanda and Jamie were on their way for a beach vacation when Babe paid them a visit. Jamie said they were on their way out but Babe grabbed Amanda's suitcase and said she wanted to be the first to congratulate them on their upcoming wedding. Jamie told Babe that she had lost it, but Babe opened Amanda's suitcase and lo and behold a wedding veil was inside. Babe asked if bridal veils were the new thong. Babe also showed Jamie the wedding rings that Amanda bought. And if Amanda wasn't busted enough, a woman with a drug sniffing dog came into the apartment. The dog jumped up on Amanda and Jamie pulled the pills out of Amanda's jacket and wanted to know what they were.

Kendall went to Zach's office, handed him a plane ticket and told him that he was leaving for Haiti to get a quickie divorce. Zach asked why she was divorcing him and she told him that it was part of the deal and she could divorce him anytime the marriage wasn't working for her. With large piles of cash on his desk he told Kendall to start counting so he could give her half of the take. As they were counting he said that the dates she chose for his trip wouldn't work for him and he would have to delay the divorce. He asked what the rush was or did she need to be single to chase after Ryan. More than irritated with Zach, Kendall asked him how he could ask such a stupid question. She told him that she and Ryan were history and Ryan and Greenlee were destiny. She then asked where Senorita Santos was and told him she saw them kissing. He said he didn't see her and she told him that she had the good manners to walk away. Zach told Kendall that Julia had a bad day and he sent her home, but she and her good manners must have missed that part. Kendall took Zach's share of the money and threw it in the floor telling him that if he wanted to pay for a ticket for "Miss Thing" he could use that money. Zach stood up and said that she could kiss her divorce goodbye. She told Zach that he was a liar and she wanted her life back. He said that he was her best friend and she needed him now more than ever. At that moment J.R. came in to the office and he and Kendall started making out. Zach picked up Kendall's foot and picked up the money on the floor. J.R. told Zach that he was now protecting Kendall and she no longer needed him. Kendall asked Zach why he was so reluctant to sign the divorce papers. Zach stood toe to toe with Kendall and told her that when everyone found out about the baby, she would need him. J.R. told Zach that he didn't get it, Kendall doesn't want him around anymore. Kendall told Zach she hated him and walked out. Zach, showing more emotion than ever before, threw a chair and slammed the money around. J.R. and Kendall went to the bar to have a drink. Kendall saw Ryan and Julia coming downstairs and Kendall pushed Julia down screaming the words, "You total slut"!

Jamie figures out that Amanda was going to drug him so she could be his wife once Babe tells him the truth. He tells her to leave and once she is gone, Jamie asks Amanda why he should not cut her out of his life. Amanda tells him the pills were just to play doctor with, but Jamie knows they are real. She tells him the drugs would just relax them a little, not lead them to the altar without his permission. Jamie realizes that Amanda must have wanted to drug him to get to his money so he starts tossing it at her one bill at a time. She admits part of her desire to marry him has to do with the money, but the other half is about getting her crazy mom off her back. Amanda says that she knows Jamie wants to be with her permanently, he just can't see how much she loves him. He doubts she loves him and just has not been happy with what he gave her. Jamie says that even if they got married without his consent, they would not stay that way or live happily ever after. To Amanda, that is exactly what she thought would happen. Janet calls and when Jamie answers, he says that his relationship with Amanda is over. Amanda tries to calm her mom down over the phone. Jamie kicks her out and says never to come back.

As Derek and his other officers come into Julia's home to arrest Di, Dell protests to Di's arrest. Tad walks in and Palmer asks him to testify against Di. Tad says yes, but tells Palmer that it is JR's decision how to handle Di. Palmer claims that Dell knew about Di's real identity, but when she tries to defend her brother, David warns her to be quiet until he gets her a lawyer. Di is cuffed and read her rights as David plans to talk to JR on her behalf. Derek asks Dell to come to the police station for questioning as Julia walks in. She demands that the police let Di go, but they ignore her. Julia tells Di that she will get her help as Di is taken to the station. Tad tries to escape too, but Julia has a few words for him first. She chides him for not defending Di, but he reminds her that she lied about who she was. Julia points out that Di improved their families and yes, she made a mistake, but deserves a chance find out who she is. JR and Tad need to deal with who Di is, but Tad claims jail would be the perfect start for that.

David goes to see Di in jail and promises her that a top-notch lawyer is on the way. Di says she does not need a lawyer because she is going to plead not guilty. She would rather do time than hurt more people, she adds. David calls her jail time a way to hide from everyone instead of fighting for what is hers. Tad pays Di a visit and Derek brings Del and Palmer down. Derek informs everyone that the district attorney won't go forward unless JR and Adam agree to press charges because they are the primary victims.

At Fusion, Zach finds Greenlee working and she tells him Kendall is not there. Zach says he is there to see her and informs her that Kendall wants a divorce. Greenlee is thrilled, but Zach counters that he should not leave Kendall while she is pregnant. Greenlee still plans to stand by Kendall and blurts that she has filed from divorce against Ryan. Zach tells her that if she divorces him, it will ruin her life, Ryan and the new baby. Greenlee is still hurt about Ryan leaving her when she was pregnant the first time around and Zach is not daddy material. Zach claims that keeping the secret from Ryan is a mistake and there is a chance that Greenlee could decide she doesn't want the child anymore because it is a part of Ryan. Greenlee promises not to do that, but Zach counters that sometimes, things don't always work out the way people want them. Ethan and Simone walk in, where they overhear Zach telling Greenlee that if he had known Ethan's mother was pregnant, he would have married her and raised Ethan. By the time he knew he had a son, it was too late and he handled it the wrong way, Zach says. He thought keeping Ethan in the dark about his family and denied his own son to try to save him, Zach says. He asks Greenlee what she will do when her child wants to find his father, but she is silent. Ethan pipes up and tells Greenlee that Zach is right. He talks openly about wanting to know his real dad and always feeling like an outsider in his family growing up. Ethan agrees not to tell Ryan anything, but warns her not to cut Ryan out of the child's life.

JR holds Kendall back as she tries to go after Julia, accusing her of hitting on Ryan. JR tells Kendall not to fight Julia because of her "condition." When Ryan asks him what condition Kendall has, JR tells him to mind his own business. Ryan assures Kendall that he and Julia are just friends, and Julia adds in that Kendall can have him. As she walks out, Kendall yells at Julia to stay away from Ryan. JR tells Kendall that cat fights are off limits now because she has to consider the baby. Kendall goes over to talk to Ryan as Babe walks in the bar to work. When JR asks for a drink, Babe points out that he should be at home with their son, not getting wasted in a bar. She refuses to pour him a drink because she is scared about his drinking and their son's safety. If she saw her driving drunk and playing with their son, JR would be upset too, Babe says. JR thinks that Babe is going for more time with their son, which she admits. She tries to get him to take their son to play time, but he gets distracted with a phone call. As Babe takes boxes upstairs to the bar, Amanda pays her an unwelcome visit. JR goes to the jail to decide Di's fate.

At the table, Ryan asks more questions about Kendall's condition, but she says she is just stressed out from telling Zach she wants a divorce. Ryan informs Kendall about the divorce and his plans to turn Jonathan into the district attorney's office. He asks Kendall why it is so important to her that he and Greenlee get back together and she tells him that their love gives her hope she will find it too. Ryan assures Kendall that she does not have to be in the middle of his marriage anymore, but Kendall remarks that is not so easy. Ryan goes home to clean up and Erin and Jonathan show up at his door.

Zach and Ethan leave Fusion as Kendall and Simone try to persuade Greenlee to tell the truth.

At the jail, JR announces that he will not be pressing charges against Di, much to Palmer's chagrin. Derek states that without Chandler testimony, the Pine Valley PD doesn't have a case. Del assures JR that he has made the right decision, and Tad tries to quiet Palmer, noting that the final decision was JR's alone. JR then advises Di that since she is free, she should get out. Instead, she emerges from the cell and embraces her reluctant nephew. While she hugs him, she promises that she will do all she can to make up for all of the damage she caused. JR shoves her away, amazed that she thinks she has been forgiven. Sputtering, Di denies that as her state of mind, but admits that she thought she had a chance of being in the family again. Palmer, outraged, tries to convince JR to change his mind - but to no avail. JR asks if Tad has anything to add, but Tad says that as the most affected party, JR's is the opinion that matters. After suggesting that Palmer take a lesson from Tad, JR invites Di to go to hell - adding that he won't be the one to put her there. Palmer takes one last shot, saying that JR should make sure Di is locked away so that she can't con another family. Tad supports JR's decision, saying that nothing can undo the damage that Di caused. Derek hands Di a paper so that she can get her things back at the front desk, and leaves. Tad asks JR if his decision signals the end of his love affair with revenge. JR angrily states that his decision means nothing other than Di is free. He insists that a trial would be inconvenient for him, and that's all that matters to him. Tad tries to tell JR that he's proud of him, but this stokes JR's anger even more. He tells Tad that he doesn't care what anyone thinks or feels. He then invites Tad to go after Di again if that's what Tad really wants. Tad ignores the potshots and Palmer announces that JR's decision was made purely out of spite - he did the exact opposite of what he or Adam would have done. He then starts to make a comment about how Dixie would have felt but JR interrupts him saying that his mother is now nothing but dust, and that no amount of talk would change that. Humbled, Palmer tells Di that he isn't finished with her, and leaves. JR turns back to Di, tells her that she is worthless and then follows Palmer's footsteps. Del offers to escort Di out, but she instructs him to go before her, as she thinks that her conversation with Tad might take a while. Del does as instructed, leaving the duo alone. Di tells Tad that he can feel free to take his best shot at her, but he notes that it wouldn't make him feel better. He tells her that she should be grateful that JR set her free, and then get out of town as quickly as possible. He then tells her that while she may have gotten a free pass today, Palmer won't stop until he sees her in jail and JR is unpredictable at best. He may level some punishment when she least expects it. Di wonders if she is supposed to be scared, but Tad just tells her to get gone. Di admits that she thinks she still has a chance with JR because she was the one that came forward. Tad reminds her that she didn't have a choice then, and she doesn't have a chance now. He tells her that everyone in town hates her and wants her gone, and advises her to stop being selfish and just leave.

Jonathan and Erin arrive at the Pine Cone and Jonathan happily embraces his older brother, and attempts to express his extreme joy at being back in town. His emotions overwhelm him and he steps back in an attempt to try to calm down, so that he might be better understood. In the pause, Erin asks if they made the right decision. Ryan assures her that things will all work out somehow. Ryan sits his younger brother down and updates him on what will happen. He tells Jonathan that he will be introduced to his lawyer tomorrow, and Jonathan believes that his lawyer will make everything better so that they can call Pine Valley home. In the interest of finally being honest all of the time, Ryan tells him that after they meet with Livia, they will have to go to the police station. He then states that the police may arrest him. This is cause for alarm for Jonathan because he believes that because he is now good, he shouldn't have to go to jail. Ryan tries to explain that despite that fact, he may still have to pay for the crimes he committed when he was sick. Ryan tells him that after he is arrested, doctors will come to see him, and then they will report back to the lawyers for both sides. Only then will they be able to find out whether Jonathan can go free or not. Further, Jonathan finally finds out that if he does go to jail, it may be for a while. Erin tells Jonathan that if he changes his mind, they still have time to leave town. Jonathan asks if he will avoid jail by doing so, and Erin tells him that he will. He then asks Ryan if Greenlee will run away with them, and Ryan tells him that she wouldn't. Because of that, Jonathan chooses to stay and make everything right. Ryan once again tells Jonathan that once the doctors talk to him, and test him, the hope is that they can make it understood that Jonathan was very sick when he committed the crimes. However, if the judge doesn't see it their way, Jonathan could be found guilty. Jonathan then asks if Greenlee will come over, so that he can apologize. He believes that once he does that, Greenlee will love Ryan again.

At Fusion, Greenlee tells Kendall and Simone that she will not ever tell Ryan about the baby. In turn, they try to make her see that Zach and Ethan, having been there, made some very good points. They both think that Greenlee needs to take what they said to heart and reconsider her position. Greenlee states that her baby won't have the horrible kind of upbringing that Ethan did, and that Zach doesn't know agony like she experienced at Ryan's hands. She believes those two things invalidate the experiences shared when it comes to comparing them to her life, and she confirms that she will not change her mind. Greenlee says that she won't give Ryan the chance to ruin the baby's life. Kendall accuses her of hiding behind the baby, saying that the real reason she won't take Ryan back is because of her pride. Simone chimes in, saying that if it really is a pride issue, Greenlee is making a stupid move. Greenlee admits that she loved Ryan so much that she really felt he was a part of her. When she thought she lost him, the hurt ran deeper than anything she had ever known before. He couldn't just lose that kind of power over her, she says, and now she can't allow him the chance to hurt her that way again. Kendall insists that Ryan wouldn't screw up like that again, but Greenlee notes that there is no way that Kendall can guarantee such a thing. Kendall then demands that Greenlee look her in the eye and say that she isn't in love with Ryan anymore. Greenlee makes a quip about one of their product lines in an attempt to take the heat off of her. Frustrated, Kendall asks if Greenlee feels like the same person that ripped Kendall's dress off during trial. Greenlee doesn't believe so, and Kendall agrees. She uses that example to show Greenlee that Ryan can change. She begs her best friend to go to her husband and see that he really is a changed man.

A short time later, Kendall and Greenlee show up at the Pine Cone. Kendall tries to encourage her, but Greenlee tells her to stop trying to sell the point. They approach the door to Ryan's room and Greenlee lightly knocks. Jonathan peers out the window and excited, he yanks open the door before anyone can stop him. He grabs Greenlee into a bear hug and while she's trying to get out of his grip, Jonathan tells her how happy he is that she showed up. Erin and Ryan manage to get Jonathan to let go, and there is a cacophony of sounds as they try to get everyone to calm down. In his animated state, Jonathan tries to force out an apology to Greenlee, saying that he would never want to hurt her or upset her again, that he's sorry and he just wanted to let her know how happy he was to see her. Greenlee stands back, still wary of the sight before her. After ascertaining that Erin was the person that called and said that Ryan was alive, Kendall urges Greenlee to go somewhere private to talk with Ryan. Ryan tries to assure her that everything will be okay, and Jonathan offers to repeat his apology if she didn't hear him. He brokenly tells her that he would never do anything to hurt her. Greenlee flashes back to the moment where Jonathan, pre-surgery, denied any wrong-doing on his part and told her that it would take a twisted piece of evil to slip her drugs and almost drive her to her death. Greenlee slowly backs away, insisting that she can't handle being in the same room with Jonathan. Kendall flips out at Jonathan and Ryan tries to contain the spitfire. She refuses to be held back, and rages at Ryan for trying to protect his brother. She tells Jonathan that he screwed everything up, and storms out of the room. Jonathan is very agitated over the encounter, upset that things didn't go the way he wanted them to go. Ryan tells him that he will make everything right, and he and Erin walk out the front door to try to see where Greenlee went. They don't have any luck so they go back inside, and are alarmed because they don't see Jonathan. They look around and Ryan discovers that their brother went out the bathroom window.

Zach sits in his office for a moment, amidst the destruction caused by his outburst of rage. He finds the certificate that Kendall signed, as his wife, to get the casinos open again. Moments later, Ethan comes in and Zach wants to know why he was followed from Fusion. Ethan tells him that they have a choice: ignore what Zach said about their relationship, or do something about it. Zach falls into his old habits and makes some sarcastic remarks about how they can fulfill their father-son requirements - like building a tree house where they can go and catch up on each other's lives. Incensed, Ethan gives up and starts to storm out of the office. Before he can exit, Zach stops him. He tells his son that he proved his point - he doesn't know how to be a father. He takes it one step farther and says that even if given the chance to do it over again, he couldn't because he just doesn't know how. Ethan asks what he should say to that revelation, and Zach tells him that if he has any insights that could help him bridge the gap, now would be a good time to share them. Zach also admits that every time he tries to love someone, he screws it up. They talk for a while, and Zach sums up by saying that he hurts people - even those he cares about. Ethan notes that it must be hard to live like that but Zach tells him that he can't change it. Ethan tells him that no one asked him to, and starts to leave. Zach calls him back one more time and tells him that he regrets what he hasn't been and everything he's done wrong. With a load of things to think about, Ethan simply nods and takes his leave.

Amanda finds Babe upstairs at the Roadside Bar where the renovation is taking place and declares war - saying that Babe can't just waltz in and destroy her life every time she gets bored. She picks up a saw and aims it at Babe in a threatening manner. Instead of being scared, this enrages Babe and she picks up a hammer, telling Amanda to bring it on. Amanda threatens to use her weapon but Babe is unmoved by her words. Amanda verbally lashes out, demanding to know why Babe couldn't just leave them alone. She reminds Babe that she threw Jamie away - but Babe interjects that it was for his own good. Amanda declares that she is what is good for Jamie, and that Babe should have stayed away. Babe is only mildly surprised that Amanda blames her for the problems with Jamie. Babe reminds her that she went out and bought a wedding dress and rings, and planned to drug Jamie so that he would marry her. The fault, Babe says, lies squarely on Amanda's shoulders. She then tells Amanda that she is crazy, nay insane, for not accepting the blame where it's due, and this pushes all of Amanda's buttons. Amanda dares her to say it again, and Babe has no problem fulfilling her request. Amanda insists that she isn't crazy, but rather in control at all times. Babe thinks that her line is hysterical, considering what Amanda is willing to do to make sure people follow the script she wrote for her life. Amanda swears she has no idea how Jamie could have ever fallen for her, since she is so vicious and cruel. Wanting to push her some more, Babe tells her that Jamie loved her because she wasn't psycho. Amanda thinks that Babe believes her an easy target because of her mother. She then tells Babe that her mother tortured and murdered people, and that she plans on showing Babe just how much she can be like her mother.

The fight quickly moves downstairs, catching everyone's attention when a chair flies out of the stairwell. JR comes in just in time to see flying peanuts and the ladies fall behind the bar. After a few moments, JR breaks it up. Amanda demands that he get out of the way, but JR tells her that as bar manager, Babe is the one that can give him the drink he wants. In addition, JR can see that Amanda is bad for business. He tells her to get out, and that he would be willing to throw her out. Amanda declares that the fight is far from over, and storms out. Babe notes that she could have won the fight if Amanda fought fairly. She goes behind the bar and pours JR his drink. He invites her to pull up a chair and have a drink with him. She turns him down, but he asks her to reconsider by stating that he has some big news to celebrate. He tells her that he decided not to ruin his life, and to let go of things more easily. He informs her that the whole Di Henry fiasco is in the past and that he wants to look forward to a future with his son. He also says that he thought about what she said, noting that he hadn't really thought it through earlier. He believes that Little Adam needs a female influence in his life, and knows that he will need another nanny. JR starts to say that he considered Babe for the job, but before he could finish his sentence, Babe tells him that she would gladly accept - that she would leave the keys to the bar with a note, and that he wouldn't have to pay her. She hugs him, telling him that he just gave her the best news that she had heard in a long time. While in her embrace, JR tells her that there is just one detail: he really needs the nanny to be bilingual at the least. He drops the bombshell that he needs an ocean between him and Di. As a shocked Babe just stares, JR tells her that he and little A will be leaving for Europe in about three hours, and that they wouldn't be back for a very long time.

In the park, Jamie shoots hoops in near darkness. A shot he makes sends the ball wild, but Aidan appears and catches it. He challenges Jamie to a one on one, and they play for a moment, with the proviso that Aidan can keep up. Jamie is in a brutal mood, and seems intent on playing the game by a different set of rules. Aidan reads him easily, and asks if Amanda did him wrong. Jamie informs him that while he is angry with Amanda, love was never part of the deal. Aidan admits that Jamie did well by choosing that route, and further admits that he too almost got caught in Amanda's web. Aidan asks for some scant details, and Jamie fills him in, summing up that he is glad to be alive. Aidan asks if Amanda got vicious, and Jamie corrects him by saying she was psychotic. They take a break and Jamie tells a story which illustrates how close he came to being decimated. Having survived his first real relationship and rebound affair, Jamie believes that there is nowhere for him to go but up. Aidan is happy for him, but wants all the dirt on what dating Amanda was like. Jamie asks why Aidan didn't warn him off of Amanda but Aidan tells him that there are some mistakes you have to make yourself.

Tad returns home and enters his darkened bedroom. When he flips on the lights, he sees Di sitting in a chair in the corner. Tad tells her that breaking and entering right after she gets out of jail isn't the smartest move. She tells him that she has a proposition for him, and grudgingly, he listens. She tells him that she is willing to make his wish of a Di-free existence reality, and he asks how much it will cost. She tells him that if he makes love to her tonight, she will be gone in the morning.

Ethan returns to the Fusion offices and lays an intense kiss on Simone. Livid with Babe's interference in her plans to marry Jamie, Amanda plots revenge.

Tad makes it clear to Di that he has no intention of making love to her by telling her that he isn't into hate sex. Di isn't convinced of Tad's animosity. She challenges Tad to prove that he hates her. Tad declines, telling her that he doesn't have to prove anything to her. He orders Di to leave him home but she refuses. Tad decides to physically remove her from his home but when he puts his hands on Di, rather than push her out the door, he kisses her. Before things can go further than kissing, Tad pulls away. He once again insists on Di leaving but she continues to ignore his request. Di is certain that Tad is lying to himself about his feelings for her, in part to punish himself for feeling something for someone other than Dixie, and tries to convince Tad. Tad doesn't change his mind. He feels nothing but disdain toward Di and insists that she leave his home if not Pine Valley all together. Di decides to leave his home but she vows to remain in Pine Valley and be in Tad's face as much as possible until he realizes that he's in love with her.

At the bar, Babe is alone with JR who is drinking heavily after dropping the bombshell that he intends to leave the country with their son, little Adam. Babe reminds JR of her weekly visitation rights and warns him that if he doesn't honor them, which she feels he can't if he's living in another country, then she will be forced to take him to court. JR laughs at her threat. He smugly tells her that he had her visitation rights rescinded with a bribe to the judge. Babe is shocked. She tries everything she can to get JR to change his mind but JR ignores her. Eventually, JR decides to leave the bar. Worried about his inebriated state, Babe follows him out the door, insisting that he not drive. JR ignores her and gets behind the wheel of his car. Babe jumps into the car in the hopes of getting JR to relinquish his keys to her. Instead, JR starts the car and takes off. Worried about his reckless driving, Babe does her best to convince JR to pull over to the side of the road so that she can take over driving. JR refuses to comply and accelerates the car. Suddenly Babe cries out as JR hits something. Once the car is stopped, JR drunkenly shrugs off the incident, certain he only hit a speed bump or a small animal. Babe isn't so certain and decides to get out of the car to take a look. She is horrified to discover Amanda, bloody and unconscious.

Jonathan takes Erin's rental car to follow Greenlee. Upset and worried, Erin decides to call the police but Ryan stops her. He reminds her that until they can straighten out Jonathan's legal problems, the police will consider him a murderer. Ryan assures Erin that he will find Jonathan and bring him back. Erin remains behind at the Pine Cone, anxiously awaiting the return of her brothers while Ryan goes to Greenlee's apartment. He finds it empty. Just as Ryan is calling Greenlee on her cell phone, Jackson walks in and demands to know what Ryan is doing there. Ryan explains that he merely came over to check on Greenlee to ensure that she was ok. Jackson threatens Ryan with a restraining order if he doesn't stop harassing Greenlee. Ryan shocks Jackson with the news that Greenlee had been by the Pine Cone earlier to see him. They exchange some harsh words and disgusted with Ryan's attitude, Jackson takes a swing at Ryan. Ryan is knocked to the ground and rendered unconscious. Having no concern for Ryan, Jackson calls Greenlee's cell phone and leaves her a message to stop by his place before going home. Without a backward glance, Jackson leaves Greenlee's apartment.

As time passes, Erin becomes anxious especially after she is unable to reach Ryan on his cell phone. When Livia Frye shows up unexpectedly to talk to Jonathan about his legal situation, Erin is forced to lie. She tells Livia that Jonathan is asleep in the other room. Livia insists on talking to Jonathan, forcing Erin to continue with her lies. She tells Livia that due to Jonathan's recent surgery, he desperately needs his rest and if he doesn't get it he can have difficulty communicating. Livia is somewhat suspicious but doesn't pursue her concerns. She leaves but not without first reminding Erin that it's imperative that she speaks with Jonathan before they go to the authorities. After Livia departs, Erin decides that she needs help finding Jonathan and grabs the yellow pages to place a call to a private detective. Aidan shows up a short time later.

In the car with Greenlee, Kendall does her best to get Greenlee to slow down as they drive away from the Pine Cone. Greenlee is too angry to consider it even when Kendall reminds her that she is pregnant. As Kendall tries to talk Greenlee down, she makes the mistake of letting it slip that she knew about Jonathan and had advised Ryan to keep the truth from Greenlee. Greenlee is furious. She feels completely betrayed by Kendall and pulls the car to the site of the road. Kendall explains that the only reason she advised didn't tell Greenlee about Jonathan is because she wanted to give Greenlee and Ryan time to reconcile. Kendall goes on to point out that even though Kendall had advised Ryan against telling Greenlee about Jonathan, he refused to keep any more secrets from her. When Greenlee's cell phone rings, she notes that it is Ryan on the other end. Greenlee refuses to answer the call. When Kendall gently suggests that maybe Greenlee should give Jonathan a chance, Greenlee is outraged. She has absolutely no intention of giving Jonathan any more chances after the numerous times that he tried to kill her. Kendall points out that Ryan has completely changed, in part because of Jonathan but Greenlee doesn't believe it. She is certain that once Ryan learns of the baby, his anger issues will resurface. Kendall doesn't agree but is unable to convince Greenlee to see things her way. The ladies end up at the bar. They are somewhat surprised to find the door open but the place empty. Deciding to talk things through until Greenlee is calmed down, Kendall offers to fix Greenlee a cosmopolitan. As they talk, upstairs someone turns on an electric heater and tips it over onto the sawdust littering the floor of the attic. Downstairs, Greenlee sips her drink as she and Kendall continue to go back and forth about Ryan and the baby. Greenlee becomes quite agitated and storms upstairs to get away from Kendall. Kendall threatens to leave without Greenlee and picks up the car keys. Before she can walk out the door, Kendall hears Greenlee cry out. Worried, Kendall races upstairs to the attic in time to see Greenlee trying to put out the quickly spreading fire.
