At a Glance
Marie, who began playing troubled Susan Stewart in 1968, went to Marian College after receiving a scholarship to study art history. While at school Marie performed in summer stock plays and after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she studied acting with Wynn Handman and Uta Hagen and started a desk job at Women's Wear Daily.
In addition to her acting talent, Marie is also an experienced theatrical director and serves a the assistant artistic director for The New Group, a nonprofit theater.
After being dropped to Recurring player in 1999, Masters was hired as a staff writer for As the World Turns in 2001.
