Kelley Menighan Hensley
Kelley Menighan Hensley took over the role of Emily Stewart in July 1992. Ten years later, the actress received her first Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Ms. Menighan Hensley grew up in Glenview, IL, with her parents, Jim and Suzann, and her sisters, Kathleen and Karoline. She attended Southern Methodist University, where she majored in theater and English and minored in art history. Additional training and experience included dance at the Jane Perry Dance Studio as well as working for Los Angeles producers Michael and Melissa Trikilis, from whom she gained industry knowledge about everything from budgeting to casting.
While best known for her ATWT role, Kelley previously appeared on the daytime drama, Santa Barbara. Additional television credits include re-enactments on
America's Most Wanted and the telemovie
The Gambler: The Luck of The Draw. On the silver screen, she's appeared in
Charlie Chaplin,
Los Posas Road, and
Guns.
Menighan Hensley enjoys collecting antique furniture, quilts, and jewelry, as well as working out, cooking, and watching old movies. Her birthday is February 15. She married her ATWT co-star,
Jon Hensley, in May 1996.
