Franco was challenging Nina on the existence of her fiancé when there was a knock on the door. She happily opened the door to a tuxedo-clad Ric. Ric entered, and Franco wondered if Nina had watched as Ric had been outed as a liar at the Nurses Ball. Nina replied that she was sympathetic, because everything Ric had done had been done for love. Ric explained that, after he'd left the ball, he'd gone to the Floating Rib. Nina had been the only one not laughing at him, so he'd struck up a conversation. He said that they both knew what it was like to be objects of ridicule.

Ric continued that Nina had asked him for legal advice after being accused of a kidnapping. After a while, he'd proposed, "and I said yes!" Nina exclaimed. Franco reminded the two that they barely knew each other, and he thought that Ric was taking advantage of Nina. Nina countered that Ric trusted her, unlike Franco. Franco explained that he'd only wanted to help Nina if she had taken Avery for a second time. Ric believed that Franco would have saved his own skin from being an accessory by turning Nina in.

Franco blasted Ric for not even buying Nina a ring. Just then, Ric pulled out the ring that had been his for Elizabeth. He got down on one knee and proposed to Nina. She immediately accepted and admired the beautiful ring. Franco knew that he'd let Nina down, but "I see you," he said. He praised her for being smart, beautiful, loyal, and inventive. He knew that he was "screwed up" and cynical, but he assured her that, "I choose you, Nina. You should marry me."

Ric interrupted and said that he had a marriage license. Franco ignored Ric and continued that Nina was too good for both him and Ric, but he spouted off all the trivial things he knew about her. He credited her with turning him into a "sap" who was "capable of human empathy and compassion." He cited shooting himself up with LSD to be closer to her and that he'd returned from the trip for her. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Ric opened the door to the justice of the peace. Franco got down on one knee and begged Nina to marry him. The justice of the peace wondered which man Nina was marrying.

A short while later, the justice of the peace was about to pronounce the couple "man and wife," but Franco objected. He thought the marriage between Nina and Ric was a bad idea and told Nina that there was still time for her to change her mind. With a little push from Ric, Nina told the justice to continue. They were pronounced man and wife, and the two shared a kiss.

Elizabeth informed Nikolas that there would be "no coming back" from Hayden telling Jake the truth about his identity. She implored him to do something, but he thought they would just be delaying the inevitable. "If you won't, I will," Elizabeth said, storming toward the door. Nikolas grabbed her arm and refused to let her leave. She reminded him that he would never get his hands on ELQ once the Quartermaines found out that Nikolas had known about Jake's real identity, and she would lose Jason.

Nikolas assured Elizabeth that they would have each other. She accused him of playing a game to get her back. When he denied it, she told him to prove it by stopping Hayden. He told her that the circumstances had changed and that he needed to end Hayden's blackmail before her demands got any crazier. Elizabeth suggested that Nikolas "play" Hayden by seducing her. Nikolas refused.

Elizabeth's phone went off, and she realized she was late for work. Nikolas promised that, if there had been any other way to stop Hayden, he would have done it. He advised her to "let it go," and go to work. She sarcastically rejoiced that she would still have a job after she lost everything else. She told Nikolas that she would likely never forgive him, and she left.

Carlos told Anna that there was enough reasonable doubt that he would never be convicted of Duke's murder. Anna realized he was right. "I've never so meant these words," she said and then yelled, "Go to hell!" She shot Carlos right in the chest, and he fell to his knees in disbelief. She shot him three more times then went to him to feel for a pulse. When she felt that he had no pulse, she muttered, "Justice is served."

Just then, Kyle entered and demanded to know what Anna had done. She freely admitted to shooting Carlos, Duke's murderer, point-blank, because there wouldn't have been enough evidence to send him to jail. "I'd do it again in a heartbeat," she added. Kyle told her she'd just set Julian free, since he'd been the one to order the hit, and Carlos had been the only witness to it. She was horrified and told Kyle to arrest her, since that was what he'd arrived in Port Charles to do.

Kyle told Anna that he'd been doing his job, and it hadn't been anything personal. He refused to arrest her, because working with her again had reminded him how much he admired her. He didn't want to add to all the tragedy she'd had. He said he could make the murder "go away." He thought he owed her for all the months he'd caused her grief since he'd been in town. He thought they still had lots of work to do to clean up the town. He suggested they start by getting rid of Carlos's body.

Sonny was sitting with a drink in his hand when Carly returned downstairs. She wondered if Julian had left alive or dead. Sonny informed her that Julian had given up the name of Duke's killer. Carly knew that Sonny was retaliating, and she warned him that the pardon from his life sentence had been a fluke and wouldn't happen again. Sonny marveled that Carly was determined to stop the retaliatory hit like she knew who it was on. She asked who it was on, and Sonny informed her it was Jake. Angered, Carly wondered if anyone had located Carlos, who was likely the real shooter.

Sonny explained that Jake had acted on his own, but Carly countered that Jake had no motive. Sonny told her that he'd already given Shawn the order for the hit. Carly demanded that Sonny cancel the hit. "You can't save your boyfriend," Sonny yelled at her. Carly threatened that Sonny was about to cross a line with her that couldn't be uncrossed. She cried that he needed to call off the hit, but Sonny thought he owed it to Duke. Carly knew that Sonny blamed himself for Duke's death, and killing Jake was supposed to ease his guilt.

Carly continued that Julian had obviously ordered the hit on Duke and that Sonny would usually wait months before retaliating so that he didn't seem like the obvious culprit. Carly wanted to warn Jake, but Sonny told her that it was "already too late." Sonny told a livid Carly that Jake had killed Duke, so Jake needed to die. "He isn't who you think!" Carly exclaimed.

Hayden told Jake and Sam that she had news too important not to share that would affect both Jake and Sam. Hayden confided that she knew who Jake really was, but he didn't want to hear it. He wondered how she'd even found out. She lied that she'd found out a few weeks before. She'd thought she could have profited off of the information, but it had turned out that only Jake cared about it. Hayden thought that by knowing who he was, he could better deal with strangers claiming to be his family in the future.

As Hayden talked to Jake and Sam, Shawn lurked outside the garage with a gun. Hayden continued that he could do his own research after finding out who he was. He thought his family was better off by thinking he was dead. Sam admitted that she wanted to hear what Hayden had to say. Just then, Shawn opened the door to the garage, aimed, and fired. Jake carried Sam to safety, and Hayden ran the opposite way. Jordan appeared out of nowhere and pulled Shawn away from the door of the garage.

Jake determined that Sam was all right and ran outside to deal with the shooter. Sam realized that Hayden had been hit in the head, so Sam called 9-1-1. Hayden told Sam to tell Jake that Hayden wasn't the only one who knew Jake's true identity. Sam asked who else knew, but Hayden passed out.

Outside the garage, Jordan demanded to know what Shawn had done, but Jake rushed out and hit Shawn. The two struggled, and Jordan pointed her gun at them and demanded that they stop. Once the two men pulled apart, Shawn realized that he'd been right all along about Jordan being a cop. Just then, the police arrived and took control of the situation. Jordan informed them that there was a woman hurt inside the garage, and two paramedics rushed into the garage. Jake went to follow, and Jordan ordered that the cops let him go.

Jordan apologized to Shawn and confirmed that she'd first been an undercover agent with the DEA and then with the Port Charles Police Department. He accused her of lying to him the whole time they'd been together. She insisted that she loved him, but he told her that she didn't know the meaning of the word. Jordan asked for another minute with Shawn, but Shawn was ready to go to the police station. "I have nothing left to say. I'm done here," Shawn said and walked away.

Elizabeth arrived at the hospital, and Patrick greeted her. They realized they were working together in the ER for the first time in a long time. Just then, Jake and Sam ran in and told Patrick and Elizabeth that Hayden had gotten in the way of a bullet meant for Jake. Patrick was furious that Sam had been there, and she assured him that Jake had protected her.

Just then, Hayden was wheeled into the hospital and taken to a room. Elizabeth offered to help, but Patrick didn't want Elizabeth to help because he knew her feelings about Hayden. Jake wondered if he could do anything, but Patrick told him that "you've done enough," and he ran after Hayden. Sam apologized on Patrick's behalf. Elizabeth wondered why Hayden had been at the garage. Sam explained that Hayden had said that she knew who Jake was. Sam hoped Hayden recovered so she could give them answers.

A man entered Nikolas' living room. "Is it done?" Nikolas wondered. The man assured Nikolas that "it couldn't have gone better if I had planned it." He told Nikolas that Shawn, who was "the perfect suspect," had also been at the garage with a gun. "No one will ever know that you ordered the hit on Hayden," the man assured Nikolas.

Julian was told that his infant son had died

At the hospital, Julian left a voicemail message asking for Kyle to call with an update on Jake because Julian wanted to be certain that the police had arrived in time to save Jake from Shawn's assassin's bullet. Epiphany barked at Julian to get off the cell phone then grumbled about how people couldn't stay off their cell phones. Julian ended the call as he glanced into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nursery to check on his son, but Julian didn't see the newborn. Annoyed, Julian demanded to know where his son was, but Epiphany claimed that she had no idea what he was talking about.

Julian clarified that he had been referring to his son with Olivia, but Epiphany insisted that she was only at liberty to give patient information to family. Julian reminded Epiphany that he was the baby's father, but Epiphany argued that Ned Ashton had been listed as the baby's father. Julian's temper flared until Ned and Olivia suddenly appeared. Julian immediately demanded to know where his son was, so Ned quietly revealed that the baby had died. Olivia wept as Ned explained that the baby had developed sepsis and had quickly passed away earlier that morning, but Julian accused Ned of lying.

Olivia invited Julian to go to the morgue to see for himself if it would help Julian have closure. She tearfully admitted that it had been wrong of her to assume that Julian had been the only danger to their son, but Julian remained in denial. Moments later, Liesl walked up, so Julian asked her to take him to see his son. Liesl gently explained that it was impossible because the baby had been cremated because of a mix-up in the lab. Olivia was horrified, while Julian seemed at a loss for words. Outraged, Ned berated Liesl for the negligence and threatened to sue, but Julian remained skeptical and demanded to see his son's ashes.

Liesl advised Julian to wait, but Julian ignored Liesl. After Julian marched away, Liesl accused Ned of laying it on a bit thick. Ned insisted that it had been necessary to keep Julian away from the baby, but Olivia feared that Julian would learn the truth about their deception from someone in the morgue. Liesl assured the couple there was nothing to worry about then shifted gears to reveal that the baby had been safely transferred to the location they had discussed. Relieved, Ned and Olivia thanked Liesl for her help, but Liesl assured Ned that his donation to the hospital had been a sufficient expression of his gratitude.

After Liesl left, Olivia appeared to have second thoughts about lying to Julian because she had seen how completely devastated he been when they told Julian that the baby had died. Ned promised Olivia that she had made the right decision to protect her son.

At the police station, Shawn was handcuffed to a desk when Dante walked up to ask a police officer why Shawn was still in the squad room. The police officer explained that they were backed up in booking, so Dante asked who had arrested Shawn. "That would be me," Jordan answered as she walked up. Dante quickly led Shawn to the interrogation room as Jordan followed. Shawn growled for Dante to get Jordan out of his sight, but Dante ignored Shawn as Dante handcuffed Shawn to the table, and asked Jordan about Shawn's arrest.

Jordan revealed that Kyle had received a tip that Shawn had intended to carry out a hit on Jake Doe, but Kyle had been busy with another matter, so Jordan had been sent to stop Shawn. "Well played, cop," Shawn snidely said. Shawn was furious that he had taken a fall because he had foolishly fallen in love with Jordan, but she assured Shawn that her feelings for him had been real. Unconvinced, Shawn accused her of being a snake, so Dante warned Shawn to back off. After a police officer dropped off a file on Shawn, Dante decided to give Shawn the option of talking to Dante or Jordan.

Shawn glared at Jordan as he admitted that he had sensed something was off with her from the first moment she had entered Kelly's. Shawn realized that he should have known something was wrong because Jordan had always had a ready explanation for running into Anna, but instead, he had believed Jordan's lies because he had loved her. Jordan promised Shawn that she hadn't lied about her feelings for him and that he had never been her intended target, but Shawn didn't believe her. Jordan explained that she had been assigned to take down the Jeromes, but Shawn argued that she had turned to him for help when she had needed out of the Jerome organization. Jordan was disgusted that Shawn was more concerned about how he had been hurt rather than the innocent woman he had shot when he had tried to kill Jake.

Shawn's angry expression clouded with guilt. Jordan's tone softened as she admitted that she didn't blame Shawn for being angry, but she reminded him that he had made the choice to work for Sonny, so Shawn should have been prepared for the consequences. Shawn assured Jordan that he was, but he was curious if she was. Confused, Jordan asked what Shawn was talking about, so he reminded her of T.J. Jordan was certain that T.J. would be relieved to learn that his mother had been working for the right side of the law, but Shawn warned her that T.J. might have a different view of loyalty than Jordan.

Shawn doubted that T.J. would be pleased that Jordan had betrayed both Shawn and Duke, but Jordan informed Shawn that Duke had been the one who had sent a hit man after her. Shawn was surprised when Jordan explained that Bruce had tried to kill her in the apartment after Shawn had left her bed. Shawn showed little reaction as Jordan added that Duke had intended to frame the Jerome organization for Jordan's death, so the money to cover T.J.'s tuition had been nothing more than blood money to ease Duke's conscience. Shawn decided he was through talking to Jordan, so she left.

Dante seized the opportunity to persuade Shawn to save himself by cutting a deal with Scott, but Shawn refused. Dante warned Shawn that Sonny wouldn't hesitate to throw Shawn under the bus to avoid jail, so it would be in Shawn's best interest to cooperate with the police, but Shawn decided to wait until his attorney arrived.

Meanwhile, T.J. arrived at Jordan's apartment. He was curious why his mother had called him, so she revealed that she had something to tell him. T.J. was stunned when she informed him that Shawn had been arrested. Concerned, T.J. asked if Jordan had notified Sonny because T.J. was certain that Sonny would secure Shawn's release. Jordan explained that she couldn't approach Sonny because she had been working undercover for the police. Shocked, T.J. assumed that she was joking, but Jordan promised her son that it was true.

T.J. pointed out that ex-convicts couldn't work as federal agents, so Jordan explained that her stint in jail had been a cover to lay the groundwork to infiltrate the Jerome organization. According to Jordan, she had been training while she had supposedly been in jail, but T.J. was furious because Jordan had only arrested Shawn, not anyone in the Jerome organization. T.J. also felt betrayed because his mother had never told him about her work. Jordan admitted that she hadn't been able to because it had been too risky and T.J. had been acting out at the time.

Jordan assured her son that she had sincerely thought it had been in T.J.'s best interest for T.J. to live with Shawn, but she had regretted it as soon as T.J. had left. T.J. was unmoved by his mother's explanations, so she assured T.J. that she loved Shawn. She confided that she had hoped to shield Shawn from everything, but T.J. wasn't interested in hearing her excuses and stormed out.

At Metro Court Hotel, Ric kissed his new bride, Nina, as Franco looked on in disgust. After the kiss, the justice of the peace congratulated Ric and Nina on their nuptials, so Ric escorted the justice of the peace to the door, gave the man some cash for performing the wedding ceremony, and sent him on his way. Afterwards, Ric returned to his bride's side to kiss her again. Nina thanked Franco for being their witness but asked him to "beat it" because she had a wedding night to enjoy with her new husband. Ric stepped away to take a call when his phone rang, so Franco warned Nina that she had made a huge mistake by marrying Ric.

Moments later, Ric returned to explain that he had to leave to attend to some business. Nina assured Ric that it was fine, so her husband thanked her for being understanding. After Ric gave her a quick kiss and left, Franco grabbed Nina's hand, intending to hunt down Scott to have her marriage to Ric annulled, but Nina refused to end her marriage to Ric. Franco pleaded with Nina to reconsider, but his anger mounted when she flatly refused. He reminded her that she barely knew Ric, but Nina didn't care.

Furious, Franco accused Nina of being a "sick puppy," but Nina resented Franco accusing her of being sick. She picked up his "Egg Salad Sandwich" painting and tried to shove Franco out the door with the painting. Franco wanted Nina to keep the painting because it was a "fraud" like her. In a fit of temper, Nina pushed Franco into the hallway then slammed the door shut.

At Greystone Manor, Carly warned Sonny that he had ordered the death of an innocent man, but Sonny disagreed because Jake had killed Duke. Carly argued that Jake was not who Sonny thought he was, so Sonny invited Carly to tell him who Jake was. Carly pointed out that Jake had been facing 53 counts of attempted murder, which Sonny thought illustrated how dangerous Jake really was. Sonny and Carly continued to go back and forth about Jake until Carly decided to explain the real reason that Jake had gone to work for Julian.

Carly was on the verge of admitting that Jake worked undercover for Kyle when Sonny's phone rang. It was Ric. Ric revealed that Shawn had been arrested, so Ric was on his way to the police station. After the call, Carly anxiously waited for Sonny to tell her if Shawn had succeeded in killing Jake. Sonny assured Carly that her "boy" was fine, but Hayden had been shot. Shocked, Carly asked if Hayden was okay, but Sonny didn't know. However, Sonny remained determined to kill Jake in retaliation for murdering Duke.

Carly continued to defend Jake, but Sonny refused to listen, so Carly changed tactics by reminding Sonny that he couldn't make a move against Jake because Sonny would be the prime suspect if Jake died. Carly warned Sonny that he would not get another governor's pardon, so she strongly urged him to back down. She also reminded Sonny that Michael would be more apt to eventually allow Sonny to have a relationship with Avery if Sonny didn't prove Michael right by gunning for Jake. Sonny reluctantly agreed to give Jake a temporary reprieve, but Sonny was determined to avenge Duke's death.

At the police station, Ric arrived to talk to Shawn. After Dante left the interrogation room, Ric warned Shawn not to listen to Dante's claims that Sonny would turn his back on Shawn. Shawn assured Ric that it wasn't a problem, but Shawn warned Ric that Jordan was an undercover agent. Shocked, Ric was curious how much information Jordan had against Sonny, so Shawn admitted that it was more than enough to cause trouble. Shawn wanted Ric to warn Sonny to be prepared, so Ric agreed. As Ric started to leave, Shawn asked Ric to let Sonny know that Shawn was sorry.

Moments later, Dante returned to take Shawn to booking because the police intended to charge Shawn with attempted murder.

At Greystone Manor, Sonny caught Carly off guard by asking what she had intended to tell him about Jake before Ric had called. Carly was spared from having to answer when Ric suddenly entered the living room. Ric admitted that things did not look good because Jordan was an undercover agent.

At the hospital, Jake and Sam told Elizabeth about Hayden's attempt to tell Jake who he really was when Hayden had been shot. Jake couldn't understand why Hayden hadn't left town when Hayden's scam had been exposed, but Sam suspected that Hayden had wanted to make amends by telling Jake the truth about his past. Jake was curious how Hayden could have known who he really was, so Sam turned to Elizabeth for answers. Elizabeth immediately became defensive as she asked why Sam would look at her, so Sam reminded Elizabeth that Elizabeth had dated Ric.

Elizabeth doubted that Ric had known Jake's real identity, since Ric wouldn't have gone through the trouble of hiring Hayden if Ric had known. Sam conceded that Elizabeth had a point, but Jake reminded Sam that Hayden had mentioned that someone had told Hayden who Jake really was. Elizabeth was curious why Jake and Sam had believed anything that Hayden had said, since Hayden had been proven to be a liar. Sam didn't have an answer, but she was curious why Hayden had suggested that Jake's real identity would impact Sam.

Uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation, Elizabeth decided to check on Hayden, but Patrick walked out to give Jake, Sam, and Elizabeth an update. He revealed that Hayden was critical but stable, so Patrick intended to operate to remove the bullet from Hayden's brain. Jake thanked Patrick, but Patrick bristled because Hayden wouldn't have been shot if she hadn't been standing near Jake. Patrick advised Jake to stay away from the people Patrick cared about, especially Sam, but Sam quickly stepped forward to assure Patrick that Jake was not to blame and had tried to shield Sam.

Patrick wasn't appeased because he was certain that Jake had gone to work for Julian with the intention of joining the organization. Patrick acknowledged that both Elizabeth and Sam spoke highly of Jake, so Patrick suggested Jake prove that Jake was a nice guy by staying away from innocent bystanders. Rather than agree, Jake asked if he could see Hayden. Patrick wanted to object, but Patrick admitted that Hayden was awake and had asked for Jake.

Patrick started to walk away to check Hayden's test results and prepare for surgery, but Sam stopped him to ask if everything was okay between them. Patrick assured Sam that he was relieved she hadn't been hurt, so Sam assured him that she truly was fine. Sam realized that he had to focus on the surgery, but she made it clear that she wanted to finish their conversation later.

Nearby, Elizabeth tried to persuade Jake to wait until after the surgery to talk to Hayden because Hayden needed to rest. Sam walked up as Jake reminded Elizabeth that Hayden had asked to see him. Sam agreed that Jake should hear Hayden out before the surgery, but Elizabeth argued that Hayden couldn't be trusted. Jake explained that he owed it to Hayden because she had taken a bullet meant for him. After Jake left, Sam asked why Elizabeth seemed troubled about Jake talking to Hayden.

Sam reminded Elizabeth that Hayden might be able to reunite Jake with a family that both loved and missed him.

At Wyndemere, the gunman assured Nikolas that no one would know that Nikolas had ordered a hit on Hayden. Nikolas wanted to know if Hayden was dead, so the hit man admitted that she had been alive when she had been loaded into an ambulance. However, the gunman was confident that Hayden wouldn't survive for long, since he had shot her in the head. Nikolas was not satisfied because he had only agreed to let Hayden leave knowing that she would not get a chance to talk to Jake. The assassin promised Nikolas that Hayden was out of the picture, but both men suddenly realized they were not alone.

Valerie stood in the doorway, so Nikolas was curious why she wasn't at the Spencer family dinner. Valerie admitted that the dinner had been cut short when Josslyn had had a meltdown over "corn futures." Valerie apologized for interrupting the men, so she promised to grab her book then turn in for the evening. Nikolas assured Valerie that it wasn't necessary to rush out, since the meeting was over. The gunman cryptically promised to get Nikolas the information Nikolas wanted, and he left.

Valerie confessed that she had overheard the man mention that Hayden was out of the picture, so Nikolas easily lied by explaining that the man had been the head of his security team. Nikolas claimed that he had ended things with Hayden and tossed her out, but Valerie was surprised because she had thought that Nikolas and Hayden had been old friends. Nikolas explained that he and Hayden had been mere acquaintances who'd had a brief fling. He had offered Hayden a place to stay but had changed his mind when he had learned about her scam to deceive Elizabeth.

Nikolas admitted that Elizabeth was his friend, so he would always pick her over Hayden. Moments later, Elizabeth arrived to ask to speak privately to Nikolas. After Valerie left, Elizabeth told Nikolas about Hayden's shooting. Nikolas feigned surprise as he asked how Hayden was. Elizabeth explained that Hayden had been awake and eager to talk to Jake, but Hayden had suffered a seizure before she had been able to tell Jake anything. Nikolas wondered if Hayden had died, but Elizabeth shook her head. Elizabeth explained that Hayden had been rushed into surgery and that Patrick would operate, which was Hayden's best chance at survival.

At the hospital, Jake was concerned about Hayden. Sam assured Jake that Patrick was the best, but Jake blamed himself for Hayden's situation. Sam hoped that Hayden would make a full recovery and provide Jake with the answers he needed. Sam grabbed his hand as Jake admitted that Hayden's life and Jake's future were in Patrick's hands.

Morgan stopped by Silas' apartment to talk to Kiki. Kiki invited Morgan in as he questioned why she hadn't returned any of his phone calls or text messages. Kiki seemed distant as she claimed that she'd had a lot on her mind with the arrival of her newborn cousin. Morgan had no idea what Kiki was talking about, so she clarified that she had been referring to Olivia's infant son. Morgan acknowledged that there had been "a lot of overlapping" in town, but he had no idea how Kiki was related to Olivia's baby, so Kiki revealed that her uncle, not Ned Ashton, was the baby's father.

Kiki explained that Sam had called Kiki earlier to share the news of Julian's new son. Satisfied, Morgan shifted his attention back to Kiki's attitude because he didn't think a new cousin was an excuse for Kiki to act "shady" toward Morgan. Kiki admitted that she was furious with him because she blamed Morgan for Avery being returned to Michael. Kiki insisted that she had never approved of drugging Michael, but Morgan reminded her that Avery had not been hurt. Kiki was outraged that Morgan failed to understand how dangerous the scheme had been and that it had ultimately failed to secure them custody of their sister.

Morgan claimed that he was not to blame, but Kiki insisted that it had been a stupid plan. Morgan argued that no one had held a gun to her head and accused her of initiating the kiss in Metro Court Restaurant to make Michael jealous. Frustrated, Kiki reminded Morgan that they could have gone to jail if Sonny hadn't bargained for their freedom by giving Michael full custody of Avery. The two continued to argue until suddenly the anger turned to passion, and they ended up in each other's arms during a heated kiss.

At the hospital, Dante was startled when he exited the elevator then saw his mother standing near the nurses' station. Olivia was agitated as she greeted her son, so he asked why she was out of bed. She quickly assured him that she was fine and would be discharged from the hospital shortly, so Dante asked how his newborn brother was. Olivia's eyes filled with tears as she struggled to tell Dante that the baby had died. Dante was stunned and heartbroken by the news, but he quickly assured his mother that he and Lulu would help her get through the tragic loss, but Olivia couldn't continue to watch her son suffer over a lie.

Olivia confided that the baby hadn't died, but she and Ned had enlisted Liesl's help -- at a hefty price -- to convince Julian that the infant had died from a sudden onset of sepsis. Dante was shocked when Olivia explained that the baby had been moved to an out-of-town hospital and that Ned had followed on the pretext of leaving town on a business trip to attend to L&B business. Dante was curious how long Olivia intended to stay away from her own son, but Olivia admitted that she and Ned hadn't worked out all the details.

Dante appreciated his mother's desire to protect his brother from Julian's violent lifestyle, but Olivia confessed that it hadn't been easy because Julian had been shattered by the news. She told Dante about Julian's request to see the baby and the story Liesl had concocted about a mix-up in the morgue, leading to the baby's cremation. Olivia regretted causing Julian pain because she had never meant to hurt him, but Dante assured his mother that she had done what was necessary. Olivia realized that she had put Dante in a terrible position because she and Ned had broken the law, but she begged Dante not to tell Julian the truth about the baby.

Meanwhile, Julian arrived home but was instantly alert when he heard a noise in his bedroom. He quickly pulled out his gun just as Alexis entered the living room. Alexis stopped short when she saw Julian then carefully apologized for startling him. Julian tucked away the gun as he admitted that he was surprised that Alexis had stopped by because he hadn't expected it after she had walked out on him. Alexis quietly explained that she had checked with the doorman to make certain Julian wasn't home, so she could collect her things.

Julian snidely apologized for ruining her plans, but Alexis asked for an update on Julian's son. She was stunned when he revealed that the baby had died earlier that morning, but she wondered if it might be possible that Ned and Olivia had lied, since they had gone to great lengths to keep Julian from his son. Julian revealed that he had seen his son's ashes then told her about the clerical error that had led to the baby's cremation. Horrified, Alexis offered to sue the hospital, but Julian didn't see the point, since it wouldn't give him what he wanted most -- his son.

Alexis reached out to squeeze Julian's hand until Julian looked up at her with hope shining in his eyes. Alexis decided it was time to leave, but Julian asked her to stay.

At Sabrina's apartment, Sabrina watched a newscast on television, which had a report about Hayden's shooting. "Poor woman," Sabrina murmured when the news anchor informed the viewers that Hayden was in critical condition. Next, the newscast switched to a story about a tiger escaping from the Port Charles Zoo. Sabrina was shocked that there hadn't been any mention of Carlos' arrest because it had been several hours since Anna had left, but a knock at the door momentarily distracted her from her concern.

Sabrina was surprised when she saw Michael standing on her doorstep, so Michael explained that baby A.J. was at home with Monica and Alice -- who were fighting over who would watch the sleeping baby. Michael smiled as he invited Sabrina to pick where they should go to dinner, but Sabrina was embarrassed because she had forgotten about their dinner date. At Sabrina's beckoning, Michael followed her into the apartment as she sheepishly confessed that she had been wrapped up watching the news. Michael assumed that Sabrina had been following the story about the escaped tiger, but Sabrina admitted she had been hoping to hear news about Carlos.

Sabrina and Michael sat down on the sofa as Michael reminded Sabrina that Carlos had left her tied to a chair, but she was adamant that Carlos would never have hurt her. Michael assured her that he was familiar with "the code," but innocent people always ended up hurt despite it. Sabrina sadly conceded that Carlos was a dangerous man, but she was concerned because Anna had stopped by the apartment earlier to enlist Sabrina's help to find Carlos. She filled Michael in about the phone call with Carlos and about Anna's intention to intercept Carlos at the pier before Carlos could flee town, so Michael suggested Carlos might have escaped.

Michael quickly realized his mistake because Anna hadn't launched a manhunt, which would have made the news. Sabrina noticed that Michael appeared to speak from experience, but he assured her that he had no intention of following in Sonny's footsteps. Sabrina was glad, so Michael smiled then offered go give her a rain check for dinner. Sabrina admitted that she didn't want to cancel their plans, even though she would be worried about Carlos, so Michael suggested they order out and wait for an update.

Sabrina was touched by Michael's offer, which she readily accepted. However, she confessed that she had one question first. Michael playfully grinned as he assured her that he had been working on her recommendation, which would have the hospitals lining up to hire her. Sabrina's smile brightened when Michael added that he wanted her in his and his baby sister's lives for a long time.

On the piers, Kyle and Anna returned from dumping Carlos' body in the water. Kyle was confident that Carlos' body wouldn't be found, but he was determined to cover up the murder by erasing all evidence of the shooting. Anna seemed dazed as she stared at a pool of Carlos' blood on the dock, but Kyle grabbed a bucket and proceeded to wash away as much blood as possible. Kyle was certain the impending rain would rinse away the last traces of Carlos' blood, but Kyle wasn't finished as he asked Anna to hand over her gun.

Confused, Anna asked why Kyle wanted her gun, so he pointed out that they didn't want to risk Carlos' body washing ashore and ballistics matching the bullets to Anna's gun. Anna realized that Kyle was right, so she handed over her gun. Kyle was pleased that the docks had been deserted, but he and Anna tensed when Elizabeth suddenly walked up after returning from Spoon Island. Elizabeth greeted Anna then offered her condolences to Anna. Elizabeth explained that she would have attended Duke's funeral earlier that morning, but Elizabeth had feared it might be inappropriate because of Elizabeth's relationship with Jake.

Elizabeth realized that Jake was a prime suspect in Duke's shooting, but Kyle quickly clarified that he and Anna were not at liberty to discuss an ongoing investigation. Elizabeth assured both Kyle and Anna that she understood their position, but she didn't think it had given Sonny the right to send Shawn to kill Jake. Kyle and Anna had no idea what Elizabeth was talking about, so Elizabeth told them about the shooting at the garage when Hayden had been critically injured. Elizabeth admitted that she had been on her way to the hospital get an update on Hayden, so Kyle thanked Elizabeth for telling them about the shooting.

After Elizabeth left, Anna was upset that Kyle had sent Jordan to follow up on Julian's tip, but Kyle insisted it had been necessary because he had received a lead on Carlos. Anna wasn't satisfied because an innocent woman had been shot and Jordan's cover had been blown. She was also bothered that Jake had a target on his back for a crime that Carlos had committed, so she informed Kyle that they needed to fix things. Kyle pointed out that he couldn't exactly arrest Carlos, since Carlos was dead. "Say it," Anna snapped.

Anna knew that Kyle blamed her for Jake's predicament because she had killed Carlos, but Kyle urged Anna to relax. He assured her that they would deal with one problem at a time, so he suggested that they leave. Anna thanked Kyle for helping her, but he simply grabbed her hand and led her away.

At the hospital, Sam handed Jake a cup of coffee then sat down on the step next to him to sip from her own cup. She warned him that he was in for a long wait, so Jake noticed that she appeared to speak from experience. Sam admitted that she had spent a lot of time in the hospital because of both Jason and Danny. Jake felt responsible for Hayden's battle for life because Hayden had been standing next to him, but Sam argued that Jake was not to blame. Jake insisted that Hayden hadn't deserved to be shot, but he was also aware that he might lose his only chance to learn the truth about his identity if Hayden died.

Sam was surprised when Jake suggested that perhaps it was for the best that Hayden hadn't told him who he really was. Jake explained that if he couldn't remember who he was on his own, then it might mean he was no longer the person he had once been. Sam agreed that was possible, but she was certain that he had always been a good man. Sam appreciated that Jake had his doubts about his past, but she firmly believed he would want to know what Hayden had to say. Jake agreed that he couldn't hide from the truth if it was offered to him, so he would hear Hayden out.

Later, Sam suggested she and Jake change the subject to distract him from thinking about Hayden in the operating room. As they chatted, Sam revealed that she had once been a con woman, who had married rich men under false names to steal their fortunes and then vanished. Jake was shocked but smiled as Sam explained that she had been forced to support herself and her disabled brother, Danny. However, Sam quickly added that Jason had been the first person to show her what a home and stability were like, so Jason had changed her life. Jake shifted gears by asking if Sam thought Hayden had tried to pull another scam on him by claiming to know who he really was, but Sam doubted it, since Hayden hadn't asked for any compensation in exchange for the information.

Jake thought it was ironic that the woman who had lied to him might be the only person who could tell him who he really was. Sam tried to distract Jake from the unsettling thought by reminding him that he had intended to explain why he had been willing to take responsibility for Duke's death until Hayden had interrupted them. Jake didn't want to discuss it, but Sam couldn't understand why Jake would refuse to clear his name if he hadn't killed Duke. The argument was cut short when Patrick approached them.

Moments later, Elizabeth walked up as Patrick explained that Hayden's surgery hadn't been a success because there had been a complication during the operation that had left Hayden in a coma. Patrick didn't know when or if Hayden would wake up.

Goodbye Love

Goodbye Love

Elizabeth and Jake arrived at her house, and she remarked that he'd been quiet. He answered that he felt bad for Hayden and that she was in a coma for trying to do right by him. Elizabeth reminded him that even if Hayden woke up, she might not remember what she had planned to tell Jake. Jake informed Elizabeth that someone else knew his real identity, and he hoped that the person would rethink keeping the secret. However, he wasn't sure that he wanted to know who he was.

Elizabeth reminded Jake that he'd said he wanted to let his past go. She suggested that he could "get back to that place," and they could be happy. He didn't think so, and he told her that he would be going to prison. She thought that was because he'd killed Duke, but Jake told her all about his deal to work with Kyle in exchange for his charges being dropped. Elizabeth slammed Kyle for making Jake a target.

Jake continued that he was done working with Kyle, even though it meant no longer being with Elizabeth. She begged him to think of another option, but he told her he'd rather be in jail than make himself, Elizabeth, and her children targets. He revealed that he was going to talk to Kyle the next day, but they still had that night to be together, and they should make the most of it. She looked longingly at the picture of her and Jason then led Jake upstairs.

Patrick sat gloomily on the bed, and Sam wondered if she could do anything for him. He instructed her to ask again after he attempted to shower away the bad feelings associated with a failed surgery. A short while later, Patrick was out of the shower but still depressed. He wished he could have done more for Hayden. He related how sick he was of the mob violence in Port Charles and how it could have easily been Sam who had been hit. He didn't understand how Sam and Jason had lived with Jason's choices. Sam admitted that it had almost been a blessing that Jason had died when he had, because Danny wouldn't have to grieve for his father.

Later, Sam and Patrick were in bed, and she wondered how her newborn brother was doing. She had planned to see him after Duke's funeral, but "something came up." Patrick wondered why she'd been with Jake. She explained that she'd overheard Dante and Nathan discussing the murder case, and she'd wanted to get Jake's side of the story. She'd believed Jake when he'd said he was innocent.

Patrick commented that Jake was still a target, so he wanted her to keep her distance from Jake. He reasoned that they'd just started their life together, and he liked it. He begged her to protect it, and she promised to. He told her that, because of her, his house once again felt like a home.

Sabrina ordered food in Spanish on the phone for herself and Michael. Sabrina thanked him for keeping her company. Michael thought it was looking like Carlos had gotten away from the police. Sabrina wanted to call Anna and ask, but Michael assured her that Anna would update her when Anna wasn't in the middle of an investigation. He urged her to wait until the next morning, and she agreed.

A few minutes later, the food arrived. Sabrina was excited to introduce Michael to Puerto Rican food. Later, the two were done eating, both stuffed. Michael expressed how much he liked her. The two got closer and shared a kiss. Michael pulled away and apologized for "charging full steam ahead" after she'd told him that she wanted to take things slowly. She thanked him for distracting her from thoughts of Carlos. He urged her to call any time if she wanted to talk. They wished each other a "buenos noches" and shared a kiss, and Michael left.

Morgan accused Kiki of still loving Michael, even after Michael had cut them both out of his life. She reminded him of the "huge mistake" they'd made in keeping the secret of Sonny killing A.J. from Michael. The two argued passionately but stopped arguing to kiss passionately. Kiki stopped, citing the fact that Silas could walk in at any minute. Morgan picked her up and carried her to her room. The two undressed each other and made love.

Later, Kiki and Morgan were in bed together, and Morgan suggested that they should fight more. She disagreed because he'd been "nasty" to her. He wondered if she really blamed him for losing Avery. She admitted that she blamed herself. She felt guilty, and she'd taken it out on Morgan. She remarked that she'd needed to "blow off some steam," and he asked if that was all their time together had been. He wondered what their status was.

Morgan continued that he'd been sending Kiki signals ever since he'd kissed her at the hospital, right after he'd found out that Avery wasn't his daughter. After they'd kissed at the Metro Court, his feelings for her had returned full force. He proposed getting back together. Kiki thought they were in a good place after all they'd been through, and she didn't want to ruin the relationship with her "best friend." He was honored that she thought of him as her best friend, but she teased that she didn't have many friends to begin with.

Morgan told Kiki that he was willing to take the chance if she was. "Yes," she said. He promised to be better "this time around," and she promised the same. He joked that they should "seal it with a fight." She proposed that they skip "straight to the good stuff" and kissed Morgan.

Alexis turned to leave Julian's apartment, but he begged her not to go. He didn't want to be alone, thinking about all his dreams for his son, after learning that his son had died. Alexis reminded Julian that Duke had had a life, family, and dreams, and he was dead because of Julian. He blocked her from the door and told her that he needed her to stay, even if having her in his life cost the business that had "cursed" his life. He told a surprised Alexis that he was done with organized crime.

Alexis expressed her sorrow over the death of Julian's son, but she asked Julian to let her go. "Screw the business," Julian said. He didn't want to lose any more family, so he vowed to leave the business. Alexis skeptically asked if he was going to let Sonny have all the power. Julian claimed that he didn't want the power. He warned her that his exit wouldn't be fast or easy, but it would be final.

Julian again implored Alexis to stay with him. Alexis told him that she couldn't fall for his lies again because it would "break me and us." She tearfully told him that they would never get back what they had if she believed his lies again. He swore on his son's memory that he was leaving the business. She confessed that she believed him. "Enough to stay?" he wondered. "Enough to stay," she confirmed, and she hugged him.

Back at the Metro Court, Kyle made himself and Anna drinks. Anna reasoned that she should be "used to people leaving, especially Duke." She remarked that Kyle was "in it almost as deep as me." He reminded her that she'd done what she'd done for love. She wondered why he'd helped her. He confided that he'd put himself in her position, and he'd realized that he would have done the exact same thing she had.

Anna observed that she'd turned into "the kind of person I've set out to destroy" -- people like Sonny, Julian, and Carlos, who took the law into their own hands. Anna related that, although Jake had been her "savior" that night, his good deeds didn't excuse his treatment of Jake, who'd almost been killed. She related that she was lucky Jordan hadn't been killed.

Kyle wondered if he could get anything for Anna, but she replied that he'd already gone "above and beyond" for her. However, she had one more favor to ask him. She wanted him to release a statement announcing that he'd found evidence exonerating Jake in Duke's murder. He reminded her that the investigation could lead to her. She revealed that she was ready to take responsibility for her actions. He didn't want her to go to prison, but she didn't want Jake to be killed "on my watch," and especially not in Duke's name.

Anna instructed Kyle to pull Jake out of his assignment, but Kyle told her it was his only chance of "nailing" Julian. She said she wasn't afraid to go to jail, and she didn't really care much about what happened to her, since Duke was dead. Kyle advised her that things would slowly but surely get better and that she would once again find happiness. She didn't believe him, citing that she would never see Duke again.

Kyle assured Anna that everything would be all right and told her that she needed to sleep. He offered to help her to the bed, but she refused to take another step. She curled up in a ball on the couch, and Kyle covered her with his jacket. As he turned off the light, Anna tearfully told him that she saw Duke every time she closed her eyes. Kyle reminded her that, in that case, seeing Duke would give her "sweet dreams."

Still lying on the couch, Anna awoke with a start, imagining gunshots. "Bad dreams?" she heard someone say. She was startled to see Carlos, clad in a bloody, gunshot shirt, sitting next to her on the couch. Carlos sarcastically wondered what she was losing sleep over. Anna told herself that Carlos was dead. "Thanks to you!" he cried. Anna insisted that she was living with herself just fine, because Carlos had murdered Duke.

Carlos accused Anna of turning away from everything she believed in by killing him. He informed her that she'd taken revenge on the wrong person because Julian had ordered the hit, and she'd killed the only witness to that. He added that she'd "set Julian free." She demanded that he "shut up," and she woke up on the couch with tears in her eyes.

A short while later, Anna was drying her hair after getting out of the shower when there was a knock on her door. She opened the door to Sabrina, who apologized for bothering Anna. Sabrina wanted to know what had happened to Carlos. "Tell her," Carlos commanded Anna. Sabrina continued that she knew everyone still thought that Jake had killed Duke, because she'd been up all night, checking the television and Internet for news of Carlos. "I'm the breakfast for hungry fishes," Carlos stated.

Anna admitted that she hadn't had the chance to arrest Carlos. Carlos was excited that Anna was going to confess. Anna told Sabrina that she'd found Carlos at the pier and pulled her gun on him. He'd charged at her, and they'd struggled over the gun. He'd gotten the better of her and knocked her unconscious. When she'd awoken, Carlos had been gone. "Liar!" Carlos roared.

Sabrina apologized to Anna for all the grief Carlos had caused, because he wouldn't have been in Port Charles if it hadn't been for Sabrina. Anna assured Sabrina that nothing was Sabrina's fault. Sabrina hoped that Anna would find Carlos because she believed that Duke deserved justice. She thanked Anna for the information and left.

"Wow," Carlos marveled. He was impressed at how easily Anna had been able to lie. He thought he would enjoy watching her try to cover up his murder because "who would think that you would shoot a man in cold blood? Four times?" He promised to tell Duke how Anna was doing. Anna gazed at a picture of Duke. When she looked up, Carlos was gone.

Kyle was getting ready for the day when there was a knock on the door. He opened it to Jake, who he quickly let in. Jake let Kyle know that Hayden was in a coma after being caught in Shawn's crossfire. Kyle informed Jake that Jordan had blown her cover in order to save Jake. He continued that, with Carlos gone, Julian needed someone to trust, which was what they'd been working toward. "Not anymore. I quit," Jake blurted out.

Jake explained to a surprised Kyle that Jake no longer wanted himself -- and the people around him -- to be targets. He added that Julian had lied about sending guards to protect him. Kyle informed Jake that Julian had been the one to tip off Kyle that Jake had been in danger. Kyle thought Jake was in the "perfect position" to get into Julian's "inner circle." Jake said that Kyle would have to take Julian down "without me." "You know what's at stake," Kyle warned him. Jake shot back that he'd rather be in prison than have people he knew shot because of him, and he left.

A short while later, Jake let himself into Elizabeth's empty house. He called out, confirming that there was no one home. He saw a picture turned facedown on the table, and he picked it up. It was the picture of Jason and Elizabeth from Elizabeth's mantel.

In bed, Morgan looked at his tablet and read the newspaper, which read, "The Butler Did It," and had a picture of Shawn. Kiki woke up and expressed her surprise that he was already awake. He admitted that he was excited to start his day and kissed her. He wanted her to know that "last night wasn't about the sex." He wanted their relationship to work "this time." Kiki agreed and kissed him.

Morgan confessed that he never would have thought they would ever get back together. Kiki related that having him back in her life had reminded her of why she'd fallen so hard for him initially. She revealed to him that the compass necklace he'd given her was the most thoughtful gift she'd ever received. He joked that she'd probably sold the necklace. She reached over to her night table and picked it up. A surprised Morgan wondered why she still had it. "It's important to me, like you," she replied.

Julian was looking at his son's hospital bracelet when Alexis kneeled next to him. He expressed his fear that she wouldn't believe that he was quitting "the business." She promised to stay by his side. Just then, the doorbell rang. Julian answered it to Lucas, who yelled, "Congratulations!" while clutching a bouquet of blue balloons. He revealed that, while he and Brad had been away celebrating their engagement, Sam had called to tell him that Olivia's baby was Julian's. He excitedly revealed that he'd always wanted a brother.

Alexis finally stopped Lucas' animated babbling and told him what had happened. Lucas was immediately deflated, and he apologized to Julian. He took the balloons and went out into the hall to call Sam. Alexis told Julian that he needed his family in order to get through the hard time.

Sam and Patrick lay in bed, and Sam wondered how her baby brother was doing. She knew how excited Julian was, since he'd never had a chance to raise Sam or Lucas. A short while later, Sam got a call from Lucas, who told her the news. She promised to be at Julian's soon. She hung up and relayed the news to Patrick. Sam blamed the baby's death on herself for "badgering" Olivia the night she'd gone into labor.

Patrick assured Sam that Olivia had had a normal pregnancy, and that the early labor had been no one's fault. She hoped that Julian wasn't shutting everyone out like she did when she was upset. She revealed that when her daughter had been stillborn, she'd lashed out and put up walls until Jason had helped her take them down. Patrick admitted that he would have lost his mind after losing Gabriel if Sam hadn't been there for him. She was glad she had been able to be there for him.

Patrick offered to rearrange his surgeries for the day and go to Julian's with Sam. She told him it wasn't necessary and that she'd see him later. She kissed him and turned to leave. "I love you," he said suddenly. She smiled and said, "I love you, too."

Lucas returned to the penthouse and informed Alexis that Sam was on her way over. He thought Julian, who was getting dressed, was acting like he wanted to be alone. Alexis divulged that Julian thought showing grief meant showing weakness.

Next, Lucas put in a call to Kiki. She promised to be there soon. She relayed the news to Morgan. Although he and Julian had his differences, he thought the news was "terrible." Morgan offered to go to Julian's with her, but she didn't think it was necessary. As she got dressed, he put the compass necklace on her. He told her that he would go for her and kissed her.

A short while later, Julian was shocked to enter his living room to find Alexis, Lucas, Sam, Kiki, and Morgan. Lucas announced that Julian didn't have to talk, and no one cared how they passed the time, but they knew he needed his family. He continued that they would deal with the hard times together as a family. Julian appreciated everyone being there, and he admitted that his family surrounding him was exactly what he needed.

Julian also took the opportunity to announce that he was giving up "the business." He knew they'd heard it before, but he insisted that his circumstances had changed. He no longer wanted his family to be targets. Just then, the doorbell rang. Thinking it was Brad, Lucas ran to answer the door. A confused Lucas led in a woman who looked strangely like Ava, only with dark hair. With a thick New York accent, the woman wondered if anyone was going to offer her a drink.

It was September of 1995, and Jordan and Shawn were in bed together. She couldn't sleep, because she was thinking about her husband, Tommy, and how she was betraying him by sleeping with his best friend. Shawn informed her that, if she wanted things to end, she'd have to be the one to walk away, because he didn't think he could. In response, she kissed him.

At the courthouse, Jordan snapped out of her daydream. She spotted Scott and went over to talk to him. She apologized for the deception but told him that she and Anna had had to "keep a tight lid" on the fact that Jordan had been undercover because of all the cops on Sonny's payroll. Scott understood and appreciated that she'd gotten him Shawn, who would likely spend the rest of his life in jail. Speaking of Shawn, Jordan wanted to make a deal for him. She told a reluctant Scott that she could get Shawn to "give up the man you want."

Later, Kyle arrived at the courthouse and went over to Scott, who told Kyle about the deal Jordan had just made for Shawn. Kyle admitted that he would hate to see Shawn walk, but Sonny was the main target. Changing the subject, Kyle said that he needed Scott to file charges against an associate of Julian's.

Shawn sat in his holding cell, thinking about Jordan, when T.J. entered. Shawn wanted T.J. to leave so he still had respect for Shawn. T.J. didn't want Shawn to be alone. He'd known there was a possibility of Shawn going to jail because of his job, but he never would have imagined that Jordan would have put Shawn in jail. He called his mother a selfish liar, but Shawn stopped him. He ordered T.J. not to talk about Jordan like that because she'd taught T.J. better.

Just then, Jordan entered the holding cell area. T.J. announced that he was going to the courthouse to await Shawn's arraignment, and he walked out. Jordan told Shawn that she'd spoken to Scott and gotten a deal for Shawn. She advised him to testify against Sonny in Jake's attempted murder, and Shawn would only get probation. "Then everyone wins," Jordan told him. "Except Sonny," Shawn answered. Jordan confessed that she was more comfortable with Shawn being out on the streets than Sonny. She revealed that Sonny had always been the target, not Shawn.

Shawn accused Jordan of making the deal only because she'd felt guilty for "pretending to love me." She insisted that she did love him and that seeing him in jail was "killing me." She advised him to take the deal for himself and "flip" on Sonny. "Hell, no," Shawn cried. Jordan pleaded with him not to abandon T.J. because he needed Shawn. Shawn thought Jordan would try to convince T.J. that he was better off without Shawn. "You are his father!" Jordan blurted out tearfully.
