A native of Pine Island, Minnesota, Russ received a B.A. in Communications and Theatre from the University of Northern Iowa. He previously was featured in daytime television on One Life to Live as Steve Holden, and had a one day role on As the World Turns. His primetime credits include: Designing Women, Law & Order: SVU, and Sex and the City. He has also appeared as Tom Selleck's understudy in the Broadway production of A Thousand Clowns.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, computer programming, and web design.
