Jessica Jimenez
Jessica made her major television debut as Cuban immigrant Catalina Quesada in October 2000, a mere 4 months after graduating from high school in Santa Monica, CA.
Jessica Jimenez was born on March 7, 1982 in Walnut Creek, California outside of San Francisco. She attended the Convent of the Heart girl's Catholic school in San Francisco (the alma mater of California Senator Dianne Feinstein). Her father, Bob Jimenez was the TV news anchor of the 6 & 11 o'clock shows on KRON-TV. Jessica spent her childhood in the public eye often appearing with her father at speeches and in parades and TV spots. She moved to Los Angeles in 1991, as her father became anchor for the 5 o'clock TV news on KCBS-TV.
Jessica has wanted to be an actress since she was a child. Her parents were always doing short movies with Jessica and her sibilings as a form of creative play. At Crossroads High school Jessica excelled in theatre, attending the school with the children of Hollywood's biggest stars. She won the lead in the senior play and was voted by peers and teachers as outstanding actor in the high school.
On the stage at Crossroads, she was spotted by talent manager, Barbara Lawrence,(Ensemble Entertainment) who brought her to the attention of Guiding Light and APA.
At present she is auditioning for film, prime-time TV, and theatre in the Southern California area. She was truly humbled by her nomination for an Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress on Daytime television. She misses her many friends at Guiding Light.
