Rafe ended up as a prisoner in a South American jail before Anna could tell him that E.J. was her accomplice in Sydney's kidnapping. Rafe learned that his new cellmate was none other than the infamous FBI agent, Shane Donovan. Hope arrested Arianna for the Salem muggings. Arianna's past criminal life shocked Brady as Nicole's plan to win back Brady seemed to be working perfectly. Brady told Arianna that someone framed her but that he still loved and believed in her. Nicole ordered Dr. Baker to stop the muggings so that the police would believe that they arrested the true perpetrator. Dr. Baker explained to Nicole that his partner called all the shots. Bo returned to Salem to learn of Ciara's so-called psychological problems and a mysterious treasure box. Ciara insisted that Hope kept her treasure box hidden under her bed at the mansion. Stefano befriended Will to help him deal with Sami and E.J.'s feelings for each other. Madeline forbade Chad to associate with Will after she saw Stefano, Will, and Chad engaged in a friendly conversation at the Brady Pub. Carly warned Chloe to tell Daniel about her affair, or Carly would. Victor and Vivian's sham wedding had some surprise twists that pleased Victor, but put Vivian on edge. Hope arrived back at the mansion just in time to see Carly catch the bridal bouquet.
Jason arrived in Pentonville, but he was too late to help Michael. Michael was left bruised after his encounter with Carter, but he refused to discuss it with Jason. Jason decided that Michael needed to learn some self-defense techniques. Carly was startled when she saw Michael's battered face. Brook Lynn Ashton agreed to seduce Dante in exchange for Carly paying off Brook's bills. Carly offered to give Brook a fifty thousand dollar bonus if Brook could secure a video of Dante cheating on Lulu. Dante was thrilled to reunite with Brook. Brook explained that she had friends and family in town. Lulu decided to tell Dante about the abortion that she had when she was a teenager. Dante assured Lulu that he loved her more than ever. Brook found herself drawn to Johnny. Johnny continued to be a thorn in Sonny's side. Olivia pleaded with Sonny to leave Johnny alone, but Sonny made it clear that, sooner or later, he would see Johnny dead. Sonny offered to help Claire build a case against Johnny. Claire accepted Sonny's offer, but she confided to Lucky that she intended to send Sonny to jail along with Johnny. Nikolas was furious when Elizabeth missed an ultrasound appointment. Nikolas tried to pressure Elizabeth to move to Wyndemere with the boys, but she refused to raise her children near Helena. Helena kept Tracy in a dungeon to lure Luke to Greece. Luke eventually tracked down Tracy, but Thor managed to gain the upper hand. The tension mounted between Robin and Patrick. Lisa took advantage of Patrick's jealousy by flirting with Steve at every opportunity.

Penny arranged to have the charges against Rex and Gigi dropped. Penny provided another clue to the identity of Rex's parents that led Rex and Gigi to Santa Fe. Rex and Gigi found a stack of letters written by his parents, Rick and Lili. Rex discovered that his parents had been star-crossed lovers who had been torn apart by jealousy and lies. Lili had died of a broken heart shortly after she had dropped her baby off at the hospital. Brody was stunned when Jessica showed up on his doorstep to tell him that all of her memories had returned. At the airport, John told Natalie that she belonged with him. He explained that he and Marty had been together for the sake of the baby. Brody and Natalie decided that it would be best to keep quiet about their night together. Jessica decided not to tell anyone about her encounter with Ford. Cris and Layla found Ford bludgeoned in his bed. Ford was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Markko was the prime suspect because Markko had turned up at the hospital with a sprained wrist shortly before Ford had been found. Téa agreed to represent Markko. Markko insisted that he had nothing to do with the attack on Ford. Brody arrested Markko for the attempt on Ford's life. Blair was by Téa's side as Téa underwent her first radiation treatment. Todd took steps to locate Hannah. Hannah found herself bound and gagged when she faced Todd.

The Young and the Restless
Ryder returned to Genoa City and was arrested. Jana visited him in jail and realized that she had feelings for him. Kevin was jealous, as he had gone on a date with Jana that had not gone well. Daniel spoke with Amber and they realized that their marriage was definitely over. Jack accompanied Emily to a board hearing to determine if her license to practice medicine should be revoked. The board decided to allow Emily to keep her license. DEA agents arrested Emily for selling controlled substances. Billy and Victoria wouldn't invest in Abby's reality show, and she got revenge by revealing the video of the couple's Jamaican wedding. Lily left for France to undergo a clinical stem cell trial to try to arrest her cancer. If the trial didn't work, Cane planned to sue Mac for her amniotic fluid in order to try another type of therapy. Tucker had J.T. begin to investigate a shady business deal that Newman Enterprises had been involved in years earlier. Jill tried to get information on what Tucker was up to, so she could use it for a Restless Style article. The Newmans continued to investigate Adam's murder. They learned that shortly before his murder, Adam had donated bone marrow to leukemia victim Richard Hightower. Nick realized that the body found in the Athletic Club basement was probably Hightower, but had been identified as Adam because Adam's DNA was in Hightower's bone marrow. On a secluded beach, a very-much-alive Adam read about the goings-on in Genoa City.
