All My Children
Caleb raced to Miranda's rescue when Angie smelled smoke in the mansion. Caleb and Angie worked together to save Miranda's life. Damon decided to work at Caleb's party to make some extra money to take Colby out on a real date. Damon suggested that Colby go to the party with Asher. JR questioned why Asher was spending so much time with Colby. Colby suggested that JR thank Asher because Asher had persuaded her to take the job with Chandler Enterprises. Caleb announced that he intended to honor Palmer's legacy by taking back Cortlandt Electronics. Caleb also revealed that he intended to change his name to Caleb Cortlandt. Madison had an unsettling encounter with David that made her realize that Greenlee was in a bad situation. Madison supported Ryan's decision to help Greenlee get away from David, but she was hurt when Ryan stood her up at Caleb's party. David realized that Greenlee and Ryan were in cahoots when he spotted them together in the park. David threatened Ryan's life if Greenlee didn't get Ryan to back off. Things escalated between Ryan and David when David confronted Ryan. Asher and Colby witnessed a violent confrontation between Ryan and David. Later, David collapsed at Caleb's feet during the party.

As the World Turns
Noah still couldn't get over Luke, but Luke declared his love for Reid. Reid seemed moved when Luke admitted that he loved Reid. John Dixon discovered that Chris Hughes was his new patient, and Chris's prognosis was grim. Before Chris could tell his family about his illness, Nancy Hughes passed away. After a quiet memorial service, family and friends performed good deeds in Nancy's honor. Chris refused to tell his grieving family about his condition. He continued to ignore doctor's orders until John and Reid dragged him from a golfing outing to the hospital. Chris's family and friends finally learned of Chris's condition, and Kim ordered Katie to stay away if she weren't ready to stand by Chris. Katie feared facing the death of another lover, but advice from Reid and Henry empowered her to be there for Chris. Bob, John, and Reid revived Chris when he suffered a cardiac arrest, but Chris desperately needed a new heart. Tom located one in Bay City; however, another doctor commandeered it for his own patient. Reid decided to reclaim the organ, and before going to Bay City, he professed his love for Luke. On the drive, Reid's car stalled at a railway crossing just as a train barreled toward the intersection. Casey proposed to Alison and asked her to move to Carbondale, where he intended to enroll in law school. The couple held off telling the family due to Nancy's death and Chris's condition. Kim and Bob spotted Nancy's ring on Alison's finger and congratulated the couple.

What happened during the week of
After the DNA test, Bill Spencer, Liam, and Thorne discovered that Bill was Liam's father. In a tender yet awkward conversation, Liam and Bill shared information about Liam's mom. Bill vacillated between being thoughtful and sarcastic. At one point, Liam punched his father in the jaw. Bill was impressed. Steffy confessed to Oliver that she felt everyone hated her, especially Thomas. Oliver said he was leaving Forrester because Brooke had been banished, and Oliver felt he deserved the same treatment. Hope returned home to an elated Ridge and Brooke. Stephanie discovered that Owen was the father of Bridget's baby. Stephanie visited Jackie to say that Jackie was only going to get hurt once the baby was born. Jackie insisted that her relationship with Owen would survive because of their love. Jackie referred to Bridget's unborn child as "our baby." Stephanie told her the entire situation was just weird. Bridget had gone to Big Bear, and Owen visited to deliver design sketches. Bridget went into labor, and Owen delivered a healthy baby boy. Owen and Bridget bonded over their miracle baby, and they kissed.

What happened during the week of
E.J., drunk and out for revenge, attacked Nicole at the docks. Daniel rescued Nicole from E.J. and encouraged her to stay in Salem and to testify against him. Sami went to the DiMera mansion in the middle of the night, found E.J. drunk in bed, and then shot him. Later, Sami said yes to Rafe's surprise marriage proposal but decided not to tell him that she had left the apartment earlier and shot E.J. Stefano pleaded with Daniel to save E.J.'s life. Kate warned Stefano to make sure that Will understood that she did not know that E.J. had kidnapped Sydney, or else their marriage was over. Vivian continued with her bizarre plot to bury Maggie alive. Maggie offered Brady advice on surviving the Kiriakis legacy. Victor cautioned Stefano for violating their business agreement. Melanie helped Nathan during a critical surgery. Bo's feelings of guilt about Hope and Ciara were obvious to Carly, who offered to bow out of their relationship for the sake of his family.

Sonny decided to head to Rome after he made bail. Carly was furious when she realized that Sonny had gone looking for Brenda. Brenda was told that someone known as the Balkan was after her. Brenda refused to take the threat seriously. Brenda and Sonny made eye contact just as the Balkan's men moved in on Brenda. Johnny lied to Claire when he claimed that he had not been armed when Sonny had shot him. Brook told Lulu that Carly had hired her to seduce Dante. Carly managed to twist things around to make Brook the fall-person. Brook found herself penniless and homeless. Nikolas took pity on Brook, so he invited her to stay at Wyndemere and then hired her to be his companion for business functions. Lisa insisted that Robin had tried to kill her by running her down with a car. Robin was certain that Lisa had deliberately thrown herself into the path of the car. Robin insisted that Mac investigate the accident to clear her name. Robin was horrified to find one of Emma's stuffed animals in a lab beaker of boiling water. Michael confided to Jax that he didn't want to return to school. Michael felt that the students and teachers wouldn't want to be near a kid who had bludgeoned his stepmother to death. Lucky admitted to Lulu that he had been tempted to accept Johnny's offer to work for him. Lucky explained that he was restless and that being a police officer wasn't working for him.

John was furious when he realized that Ross had been arrested instead of Eli. Blair married Eli, but afterwards, she received a call from Kelly. Kelly told Blair that Eli's last two wives had been murdered. At gunpoint, Blair confronted Eli about Kelly's claims. Eli was forced to admit that he had killed his wives. A shot rang out while Blair and Eli struggled for the gun. Eli was shot, but Blair didn't have an opportunity to save Eli because a fire broke out. John managed to get Blair out of the burning building, but the roof collapsed before John could get to Eli. John and Blair learned that a body had been recovered from the burned-out building. Blair and John viewed the body, but it had been burned so badly that it could have been anyone. Ford admitted to Langston that he had lied about Hannah because Eli had threatened to hurt Langston. Langston softened toward Ford, but she remained determined to not get involved with him again. Langston admitted that she was hurt that Ford had slept with someone who might have given him an STD. Brody learned that Jessica feared that her unborn baby might have the same Rh disease as Chloe had. Brody didn't understand why Jessica insisted on going through with the test when his blood was compatible with Jessica's. Todd and Dani struggled to accept that Téa had died before they could get to her.

Soon after Billy and Victoria moved in together, she took a pregnancy test. Billy was scared, so he got drunk. John's ghost convinced Billy that he should settle down. Billy proposed to Victoria, and she said yes. Billy and Victoria were elated to learn they were pregnant. Jack advised Abby to hire Vance as her attorney, and she agreed. Vance served Victor with a lawsuit, claiming that Victor mismanaged Abby's trust. Chloe and Ronan made love, but he was very cold to her afterwards. Chloe told Chance that Ronan was his long-lost brother. Owen revealed himself to Ronan as the leader of the dirty cop ring. Owen and Meeks ordered Ronan to kill Chance. Heather admitted to Paul that she was in love with Chance. Skye promised Jack that she would get Adam to drop his lawsuit against the Abbotts, if Jack promoted the Newman Fund to his wealthy friends. Ashley vowed to get revenge on Adam. J.T. accepted a job offer from Ashley and Tucker to investigate how Victor kept his monopoly on the Japanese market. Phyllis started a blog about the home wreckers of Genoa City. Kevin served Jana with divorce papers. Meggie secretly spiked Nikki's drink with vodka again, so Nikki began to crave alcohol.
