Greenlee raced to Kendall's side after the murder conviction was vacated. Kendall wanted Greenlee to go to the crash site with her, so that Greenlee could walk Kendall through Zach's final hours. Kendall was overcome with emotion as the reality of Zach's death sank in. David managed to escape custody. David was critically wounded after Erica shot him in an attempt to save Ryan's life. Griffin operated on his mentor, but David remained in a coma following the surgery. Madison was shot by a stray bullet during David and Ryan's scuffle. Ryan rushed Madison to the hospital, where she was quickly patched up. Colby tried to ignore her attraction to Asher. Colby insisted that she and Asher were only friends, despite the heated kiss that they had shared. Damon was surprised when Colby's temper flared because Damon didn't spend enough time with her. However, Damon was touched that Colby missed him. Asher landed in some trouble after he was caught speeding. Asher was stunned when Caleb revealed that he had taken care of Asher's legal troubles. JR and Annie went to Washington, DC, on business. Annie was disappointed that JR's custody issues meant that they weren't free to be open about their relationship. JR assured Annie that he wanted her in his life. JR decided that he needed to be the man that Marissa had met in order for Marissa to trust him enough to drop the custody suit.

What happened during the week of
Taylor screamed when she saw Thomas passionately kissing "Brooke," a model that Taylor seriously believed was Brooke. Taylor embarrassed herself and Thomas, prompting a frank conversation with Thomas and Ridge about Taylor's obsession that Thomas might succumb to a Brooke seduction. Ridge and Thomas managed to convince Taylor that nothing would ever happen between Thomas and Brooke. Ridge told Taylor that if anything ever did happen, he would return to Taylor, and Taylor's eyes lit up. Taylor told Stephanie that she was confident Ridge would end his marriage to Brooke. Stephanie was surprised by Taylor's interest in Ridge. Stephanie reminded Taylor that Taylor was married to a wonderful man, and that Brooke and Ridge were in love. Aggie discovered that Amber was living with Oliver, and Aggie pressured Oliver to kick Amber out of his house. Oliver agreed, but Amber successfully begged Oliver to stay. Aggie advised Hope not to give up on Oliver. Liam and Oliver argued over who belonged with Hope. Brooke and Ridge encouraged Hope to follow her heart to choose between Oliver and Liam. Bill and Justin discovered a credit card receipt that connected the inept mystery limo driver, who kept Liam from attending Hope's party, to Oliver's home address. Bill visited Oliver and warned that no one messed with his family and got away with it.

What happened during the week of
Carly injected herself with an experimental drug to offset the effects of the Loma virus and saved Melanie's and Nathan's lives. Nathan and Melanie fought off their true feelings for each other and returned to a life with their respective others. Sami pleaded with Nicole to let her visit with Sydney. Rafe was unsuccessful in trying to convince E.J. to allow the children to spend time together during the holidays. Vivian told a hospitalized Maggie that Victor, Nicole, Philip, and Kate had helped Brady to keep Vivian entombed in the sarcophagus. Philip explained his part in Vivian's captivity to Melanie. Hope put her life in danger when she mistakenly confided in the warden about the suspicious deaths of young inmates at the prison. Stefano ordered Kate out of the mansion after he realized that she had betrayed him to Sami and that she had kept Madeline's secret about Chad's parentage. DNA tests confirmed that Stefano and Chad were father and son. Chad seemed determined not to follow in the footsteps of the DiMera legacy.

What happened during the week of
Dante received a copy of Aleksander Janacek's autopsy report. The report confirmed that Aleksander had been killed with a regulation sidearm. Dante, Lucky, and Jason realized that Jerry Jacks might be involved with the Balkan. Jerry Jacks arranged for one of his henchmen to follow Sam, in an attempt to kidnap her. Jason managed to stop the goon from taking Sam, but a sniper killed the man before Jason could question him about Jerry's orders. Jason fired at the sniper, but the sniper managed to get away. Johnny arrived home with a gunshot wound. Ethan went to the hospital to fetch Lisa to help Johnny. Sonny and Brenda went out on a date and grew closer. Suzanne persuaded Jax to do whatever was necessary to keep Brenda and Sonny apart. Jax wasn't surprised when Carly revealed that Jerry might be working for the Balkan. Jax and Carly reached out to Lady Jane to find out if she had been in contact with Jerry. Lady Jane arrived in Port Charles at Carly's request. Lady Jane pleaded with Jax to spare Jerry's life. Patrick and Robin were stunned when they learned that Lisa had posted a video confession about her affair with Patrick. Lisa managed to spin things to paint herself as the victim. Agent Bates contacted Lucky to go undercover as Ronan O'Reilly to retrieve a safety deposit box in a New York City bank. Lucky wanted Siobhan to remain in Port Charles, but she decided to follow him.

Todd learned about the abuse that James and Ford had suffered because of Eddie. Todd was reminded of the torture that he had endured at the hands of Peter Manning. Ford turned to Clint for the money to pay off Eddie. Ford tried to force Clint's hand by threatening to reveal that Clint had recently put Ford in the hospital, but Clint wasn't intimidated. However, Clint agreed to give Ford the money for Inez's sake. Bo and Nora got into a heated argument about Inez. Nora was certain that Inez had a crush on Bo. Inez reluctantly agreed to seduce Bo in exchange for Clint's promise to get Eddie to leave town. Clint hired Eddie to kidnap Nora and then hold her hostage. Kelly struck up a friendship with a woman named Aubrey during the flight to Llanview. Joey picked up his new love, Aubrey, from the airport. Joey was eager to introduce Aubrey to his parents. Aubrey and Kelly continued to bump into each other, unaware that they were each in love with Joey. Marty blamed Starr for Cole's downfall. Marty had a change of heart about giving John the gift-wrapped box containing Natalie's paternity test results. Todd hired Rex to keep tabs on Marty. Dorian plied Echo with alcohol in an attempt to get Echo to confess that Clint was Rex's father. Dorian's plan fell apart when Viki and Charlie showed up at the restaurant. Nate and Dani decided to wait to have sex.

In New Orleans, Michael and Nick searched for Sharon. Phyllis followed them to write a Restless Style story about Adam. Victor refused to forgive Nikki for betraying him with Deacon and asked her to move out of the ranch. When Kay discovered Nikki had reconnected with Deacon, Nikki asked Katherine not to judge her. Sharon and Adam made love at Oak Alley, but later Sharon broke it off with him to return to Nick. Nick found Sharon in Adam's arms and ended their engagement. Adam was arrested for killing Skye. Adam insisted that Skye had faked her death and set him up. Jack blamed Adam for Skye's death. On the Newman jet, Victor told Skye he had arranged a new identity for her. In exchange, Skye could never return to Genoa City. Victor had framed Adam for Skye's murder and was determined to make him pay for his crimes. Diane sucked up to Jack. To raise money for Daisy's baby, Kevin took Hogan's job offer. The court awarded Phyllis custody of Daisy until the baby was born because the pregnancy was deemed high-risk. Ronan collapsed in front of Heather. Diane approached Nick at Jimmy's. Sharon told Adam that she believed he was innocent.
