Marissa went to see Scott in jail to let him know that they had won. Scott was thrilled that Cortlandt Electronics and the nanotechnology were back in Caleb's hands and that JR had been hit with a major fine. Scott hoped that Marissa could help him to get out of jail. Marissa explained that she had been able to get Scott's parole hearing moved up because Scott had paid restitution. Annie was delighted when she received a box of flowers; however, her joy soon turned to fury when she found out that JR had intended to give the flowers to Marissa. JR explained that they had to be careful until the joint custody papers were signed. JR decided to pay Scott a visit in jail when he discovered that Scott had been in contact with Marissa. Erica told Caleb about Kendall's arrival in Pine Valley, in an effort to give Caleb some hope about building a relationship with Asher. Asher learned that Caleb had made a sizable donation to the hospital in Sonia's name. Madison slipped on some ice and then fell. Greenlee rushed Madison to the hospital when she found Madison unconscious in the snow. Madison was relived to learn that the baby was unharmed. Greenlee offered to help Madison start over in New York City. Father Clarence paid Kendall and Erica a visit to offer them some sage advice. Kendall found it in her heart to forgive Greenlee. Kendall was certain that Zach was guiding her. Amanda decided to pose as Cara to find out what was going on with Cara's paperwork.

What happened during the week of
Hope and Liam had a private evening picnic, and Liam admitted that he had awakened next to Amber the morning after his party. Liam said that he did not remember anything because he'd had a concussion. Liam tearfully begged Hope to forgive him, but Hope was furious. Amber's mother, Tawny, showed up at Oliver's place, and she was broke and desperate for a place to stay. Amber tried to get her mother to leave, but Tawny refused. When Amber discovered that she was pregnant with Oliver's child, Tawny suggested that they pass the baby off as Liam's kid. Tawny said that they could "fudge" the DNA test. The photo that Whip had taken of half-naked Brooke and Thomas continued to circulate on the Internet. Ridge suspected that Whip had taken the photo to embarrass Ridge and his family. Ridge confronted Whip, but Whip denied it. Ridge tattled to Taylor that Whip had taken the photo, but Whip interrupted the conversation and lied that he hadn't taken it. Taylor told Ridge to get out of her house.

The Horton family hung their ornaments on the Christmas tree. The truth about Parker's paternity came out just after Parker's christening. Daniel and Melanie left Chloe and Philip, respectively. Caroline came clean about switching the paternity test results and then had a stroke. Sami attacked Nicole when Sami learned that Nicole had moved into the DiMera mansion. In an attempt to make Sami go crazy, E.J. proposed to Nicole. Rafe warned Sami to stop losing her temper. Brady and Kate planned to send Vivian to one of Victor's private islands.

Brenda and Sonny announced their engagement at Luke and Tracy's wedding. Carly was thrilled that Spinelli had uncovered evidence that Dante and Brenda had a child together. Carly tried to persuade Sonny not to marry Brenda, but Sonny warned Carly not to interfere. Spinelli pleaded with Carly not to reveal Brenda and Dante's secret because several people, including Carly's children, could be hurt. Carly refused to believe that anyone except Dante and Brenda would suffer if Sonny learned about the baby. Theo arranged to talk to Brenda about the lawsuit. Theo ordered his men to keep Brenda under 24-hour surveillance. Theo made it clear to his goon that Brenda would be killed once Theo had what he needed from her. Jason admitted to Lucky that he questioned the timing of the lawsuit filed by Anton's family and the coincidence of Siobhan witnessing Jerry's shooting. Lucky reluctantly conceded that he couldn't ignore that Jason had a point. Lisa drugged Johnny and then searched his penthouse, in an effort to get her hands on the syringe. Johnny decided to hold onto the syringe for a while longer. Claire talked to Sonny and Diane about her career options after learning that she would be transferred to Alaska. Several Port Charles residents boarded a bus bound for a ski trip. Tragedy struck when the bus careened off of the road and then plunged down the side of the mountain. Carly was horrified as she heard the screams of the passengers while she was on the phone with Morgan. Bodies were scattered everywhere after the crash.

Natalie was surprised when John suggested that they get married immediately instead of waiting. John promised that they could have a big reception later. John asked Brody to be his best man while Natalie asked Jessica to be the maid of honor. Marty learned of John and Natalie's wedding plans. Marty stopped the wedding before the judge could pronounce John and Natalie "man and wife." Clint tried to enlist Viki's help to keep Joey from marrying Aubrey. Viki warned Clint not to interfere because it could alienate Joey. Aubrey was horrified when she saw a picture of herself and another man in a French magazine. Rex managed to slip into Aubrey's room, but didn't find anything incriminating against Kelly's rival. Rex was forced to duck under the bed when Aubrey returned unexpectedly. Aubrey called a mystery person about the French magazine. Joey and Kelly spent New Year's Eve together. Aubrey returned to her hotel room on the pretense of being ill only to be reunited with a lover. Cris was upset when he saw pictures of Layla and her boss in a fashion magazine. Bo confessed to Nora that he'd had a one-night-stand with Inez. Nora was devastated that Bo had been sleeping with Inez while Nora had been at the mercy of Eddie's lecherous intentions. Nora asked Bo to leave. Bo vowed not to give up on their marriage. Dani was granted permission to spend New Year's Eve with Nate in jail. Langston decided to spend New Year's Eve with Starr instead of Ford. Later, Langston and Starr bumped into Ford and James when they went to visit Nate in jail.

Victor tried to convince Diane to move to the ranch with Kyle. Diane declined, in part because she was more interested in continuing her affair with Nick. Based on the information about the perfume shipment, Sharon flew to Hawaii to search for Skye. Daniel told Daisy he'd made arrangements for the baby to be given to an adoption agency right after she delivered. Daisy was determined not to return to jail. Victor followed Sharon to Hawaii. Phyllis told Kevin she wanted to adopt Daisy's baby. When Kevin learned that Jana had changed her testimony against Daisy, Kevin realized Daisy was manipulating Jana. Kevin told Daniel that he supported Daniel's decision to give the baby up for adoption. Sharon confronted Skye while on a volcano hike, but Skye refused to cooperate. Sharon took Skye's photo, but in the ensuing scuffle, Skye fell to her death. The Hawaiian authorities didn't believe Sharon's story. Victor destroyed all the evidence that Skye had been on the island. Jana rushed Daisy out of the apartment when she went into labor, but when Jana saw Kevin and Chloe kissing on New Year's Eve, Jana was devastated. Jana let Daisy take off with the car.
