The Daytime Emmy Awards are right around the corner, but clips from the reels that all four soap operas submitted for the Outstanding Drama Series category are here now!

Grab a box of tissues and get ready for a wonderful mix of tears and heart-pumping excitement, because the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has released clips from the reels submitted by each of the four daytime dramas in the Outstanding Drama Series category.

In celebration of the Emmys quickly approaching, NATAS shared one action-packed video with reel snippets from all four shows. It should be noted that the snippets are just samples; each show actually submitted two episodes to be judged for Outstanding Drama Series and the clips only show scenes from one of them.

As can be seen in the video (below), The Bold and the Beautiful submitted the tense episode in which Liam (Scott Clifton) braved a dangerous storm in a helicopter to Catalina, where Hope (Annika Noelle) was giving birth to their child.

The Young and the Restless submitted the extremely emotional episode in which the residents of Genoa City mourned the death of Neil (Kristoff St. John).

Days of our Lives chose its first time jump episode in which Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) emerged from her coma to learn that the people in Salem had undergone a ton of changes over the past year.

Last, but not least, General Hospital submitted its 2019 holiday special in which the cast presented their version of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.

Check out the clips from B&B, Y&R, DAYS, and GH's Emmy reels below, and don't forget to let us know what you think about the shows' reel choices in the Comments section at the end of the article.

The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be returning to television via a broadcast on CBS on Friday, June 26, at 8PM ET/PT. For a list of nominations in the major daytime drama categories, click here. For a complete list of all nominations, click here.
