A Minecraft Movie is an upcoming adventure comedy movie that is based on the 2011 Mojang Studios computer game of the same name. It was written by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer and directed by Jared Hess.

Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen joined the cast in November 2023. Emma Myers also joined the cast in December. Jack Black joined the cast in January 2024 after hinting at his role on his official Instagram account. Jemaine Clement, Kate McKinnon, and Jennifer Coolidge were also cast in unspecified roles.

Four misfits—Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers) and Dawn (Danielle Brooks)—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they'll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like piglins and zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve (Jack Black).
