The American entertainer Thomas Jacob Black, better known as Jack Black, has been married to the American artist, musician, and singer Tanya Haden since 2006.


The couple's relationship dates back to their time as students at an elite college preparatory school in Santa Monica, California, but they eloped after a brief romance. They currently have two sons.

Jack Black has been married to Tanya Haden since 2006. Despite having known each other for a lot longer, Black and Haden eloped in March 2006 after less than a year of dating. They first met at Santa Monica's elite Crossroads High School. They got married on March 14, 2006, in Big Sur, California. Samuel and Thomas, Haden and Black's kids, were born in June 2006 and May 2008, respectively. The sons, who are now teenagers, have inherited their parents' musical abilities.


Over the years, Black and Haden have been to several high-profile events, such as the actor's numerous Hollywood film premieres. They most recently appeared on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2024 when Black's song "Peaches" received a nomination for Best Original Song.


Both Haden and her husband are artists with a range of skills. Sometimes, the couple performs together, such as when they performed "Shallow" in 2019. Black shared their hilarious rendition of the Academy Award-winning song from the movie A Star Is Born, which was sung by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, on his YouTube channel.

Tanya is an artist, musician, and singer. As a vocalist and cellist, Tanya has contributed her skills to several bands in the Los Angeles area, including the Silversun Pickups, according to the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. In addition to being a painter and performance artist, she earned an MFA in experimental animation at the California Institute of the Arts.


According to NPR, Haden's father, jazz musician Charlie Haden, who performed with his family as a child, passed on her artistic DNA. Charlie, his four children, Tanya, Petra, Rachel, and Josh, along with his son-in-law Black, were all included on his 2008 album Rambling Boy.


Petra and Rachel, Haden's triplet sisters, are also musicians. In the 1990s, they created the alt-rock group That Dog. Later, the three of them came together as The Haden Sisters, a country music trio. Haden talked about how she and her sisters write harmonies on NPR during the promotion of their CD, The Family Songbook.
