Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, widely known as Jason Momoa, is an American actor born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Being an only child, he was born on August 1, 1979, to Coni (née Lemke), a photographer, and Joseph Momoa, a painter.
He began his acting career in 1999–2001 as Jason Ioane on the syndicated action drama series Baywatch: Hawaii. He played Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of HBO’s fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2011–2012) and Ronon Dex on the Syfy science fiction series Stargate Atlantis (2005–2009).

In November 2022, Jason posted on Instagram, "I LOVED MAKING MY GRANDMA LAUGH it's been a year now i miss u grams. i wish she got to see this last movie she would have been so happy.”
