American actor and producer Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most well-known actors in Hollywood. He has won several awards, including three Golden Globes, an Academy Award, and a British Academy Film Award. As of 2019, his films have made over $7.2 billion worldwide, and he was listed eight times on the annual list of the world's highest-paid actors. He began his acting career as a child on television.


He is also a producer; he founded Appian Way Productions, a production house that has produced some of his films and the 2008–2010 documentary series Greensburg. He also founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to raising awareness of environmental issues.
