Kaitlyn Dever is an American actress born on December 21, 1996. She is widely known for her roles in films such as Daniel Cretton’s “Short Term 12 (2008),” Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar (2011),” James Ponsoldt’s “The Spectacular Now (2013),” Jason Reitman’s “Men, Women & Children (2014),” and Kathryn Bigelow’s “Detroit (2017).”


She has earned seven awards and thirty-one nominations including several Golden Globe Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and BAFTA Awards nominations across her career. She received a Gracie Allen Award in 2022, in the category, “Actress in a Leading Role- Made for TV Movie or Limited Series” for her portrayal of Gracie in "Dopesick."


She played the role of Jayden in the independent drama film Short Term 12 (2013). Premiering at SXSW 2013, the film won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative. Dever was also named one of Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch and won the Rising Star Award in the 2020 Texas Film Awards.


Aside from her career in film and television, she has also been the voice actor for Cassie Drake in the critically acclaimed video game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (2016).
