The American singer-songwriter, musician, writer, and actor Marilyn Manson has a net worth of $2.5 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Marilyn Manson, who is regarded as one of the most contentious musicians of all time, maintains his image with complex, provoking songs. Three of his albums have achieved gold status, while three have achieved platinum status. He drew intense media attention in the 1990s for allegedly having a negative effect on youth.

Marilyn Manson’s early life

Born in Canton, Ohio, on January 5, 1969, Marilyn Manson's real name is Brian Hugh Warner. His teachers at Heritage Christian School taught him which types of music were blasphemous and sinful. They would occasionally perform songs that they deemed "wrong." The young Brian Warner fell in love with this kind of music when he first heard it.

Warner attended a college to study journalism after graduating from high school in 1987. Later on, he conducted interviews with Groovie Mann and Trent Reznor, two musicians who had a significant influence on his music career. Warner was primarily influenced by the latter performer, who was a member of Nine Inch Nails. Later, Reznor worked with Manson to produce his first record.

Marilyn Manson’s career

Brian Warner and his friend Scott Putesky formed their first band in the late 1980s. The pair came up with theatrical names for themselves that combined serial killers and Hollywood sex symbols. Putesky transformed into Daisy Berkowitz, while Brian Warner transformed into Marilyn Manson, a hybrid of Charles Manson and Marilyn Monroe. In the end, the band also adopted the name Marilyn Manson.

Marilyn Manson was immediately banned from performing at some places in the early days. As a result, the group was quickly rebranded and adopted many identities, including "Mrs. Scabtree" and "Satan on Fire."

Later, Trent Reznor became personally involved with Marilyn Manson and produced Portrait of an American Family, their debut studio album. The band rapidly gained an extensive cult following while traveling with Nine Inch Nails. With the publication of their debut EP, Smells Like Children, their fan base rose significantly. The massive hit "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," a version of an Eurythmics song from the 1980s, was included on this 1995 EP. The band almost immediately became a worldwide success after the music video was shown on MTV.

Marilyn Manson’s singing style

Though he always raises his vocal range by using several vocal styles, including vocal fry, screaming, growling, and crooning, Manson primarily delivers lyrics in a melodious manner. He stated in one interview that his voice had five distinct tones, which mixing engineer Robert Carranza found may be fed into a phrasal analyzer to create a pentagram. His vocal style is baritone, and he can sing in three different octaves.
