Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the Jurassic Park film series, is scheduled to be released in the United States by Universal Pictures on July 2, 2025.


The movie's development had been going on for a while until it was announced in January 2024. The majority of the shooting took place from June to September 2024 in Thailand, Malta, and the United Kingdom. The film's first trailer was released on February 5, 2025.


Gareth Edwards is the director of the movie and David Koepp is the writer. It is the fourth Jurassic World movie and the seventh overall in the Jurassic Park film series. It is a stand-alone follow-up to Jurassic World Dominion (2022). Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey will lead the new ensemble cast, which also includes Ed Skrein, David Iacono, Luna Blaise, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Rupert Friend.

What is Jurassic World Rebirth about?


The movie takes place five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022) and shows that dinosaurs cannot survive on Earth. The surviving dinosaurs currently reside in isolated tropical areas with similar environmental conditions to their original habitats. A pharmaceutical corporation hires Zora Bennett, a covert agent, to embark on a top-secret assignment with team commander Duncan Kincaid and paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis.

They sneak into a forbidden island that served as Jurassic Park's original research facility. Their objective is to track down the three largest extinct animals—on land, sea, and air—and obtain their DNA, which holds the secret to a medication that can miraculously save human lives. They discover that failing, mutated dinosaurs that have flourished on the island for decades call it home.
