Grace is one of the pivotal characters in the 2023 movie Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.


Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is the latest installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise and was released on 12 July 2023. The movie picks up after the events of Mission: Impossible- Fallout. The next installment is set to arrive in 2025, titled Mission: Impossible- Final Reckoning. The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie who has also written the story alongside Erik Jendresen.


The movie stars Tom Cruise who reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, along with his team - Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, and Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust being the recurring characters throughout the series. The movie pits Ethan and his team against a new enemy, an artificial intelligence called “The Entity” who has aligned himself with Gabriel (a ghost from Ethan’s past) who intends to use AI to bring global catastrophe.


Who is Grace in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning?


Grace was one of the central characters in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. She is a highly skilled thief by profession and was tasked by an unknown individual to rob Ethan and his team and retrieve half of the key to activate The Entity. Initially working for mysterious clients, she comes across Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, who attempt to recruit her. Throughout the mission, Grace is stuck in strings of betrayals and shifting alliances, pursued by intelligence agencies and Gabriel, the Entity’s enforcer.


As the story unfolds, Grace agrees to work with Ethan for her survival. Her skills for escaping difficult situations are seen to be one of the important assets in the final events of the movie, helping Ethan secure the key from Gabriel and getting him to evade the antagonist. By the end of the movie, it is revealed that Grace wishes to join the IMF as a permanent source and becomes a part of Ethan’s team.

Who plays Grace in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning?


The character of Grace in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is played by British and American actress Hayley Elizabeth Atwell. Born on April 5, 1982, the actress has been active in the industry for about 20 years. She started her journey as a professional stage artist by appearing in the play Prometheus Bound back in 2005. The actress debuted on the big screens in 2007 when she appeared as Angela Stark in Woody Allen's film Cassandra's Dream.


Hayley Atwell gained fame appearing as Peggy Carter in the 2011 American superhero film Captain America: The First Avenger. She reprised the role in the movies Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, along with cameo appearances in Ant-Man and Avengers: Endgame. Her last appearance as Peggy was as a variant of the character who became the super-soldier Captain Carter (Earth-838) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
