Mimi Rogers is married to producer and assistant director Chris Ciaffa. With a career spanning over four decades, she is known for her versatile roles in film and television. Rogers gained early recognition for her portrayal of Claire Gregory in the 1987 neo-noir romantic thriller “Someone to Watch Over Me.” She went on to star in films such as the 1989 psychological thriller, “Hider in the House,” the 1990 crime-drama “Desperate Hours,” and the 1991 cult-favorite “The Rapture.”


Throughout the 1990s and 2000s Rogers continued to star in several Hollywood productions, establishing her presence in the industry. She featured in the 1994 comedy film “Monkey Trouble” as Amy and also in the 1995 drama-television film “Full Body Massage” as Nina. She played the formidable Miss Kensington in the 1997 hit comedy “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.”


Rogers has also appeared in science-fiction productions such as the 1998 sci-fi adventure “Lost in Space” where she played the brilliant scientist Professor Maureen Robinson. She has also recurrently appeared as Agent Diana Fowley in the 1998 sci-fi drama series “The X Files”.


Rogers is also an advocate for environmental causes and has chaired the One Planet conference. She holds a position on the board of the Earth Communications Office, an organization that incorporates celebrity involvement to promote environmental awareness. Beyond her advocacy, she also enjoys reading, playing tennis, and poker, and served on the board of directors of the World Poker Tour.

Mimi Rogers and Chris Ciaffa have been together since 1990, with the couple tying the knot on March 20, 2003. At present, they have two children together, Lucy Rogers-Ciaffa and Charlie Rogers-Ciaffa. Despite being together and living with each other, Rogers was initially hesitant about her marriage with Ciaffa. Having already been divorced twice, she was hesitant to "jinx" their relationship and only decided to make it official thirteen years later.


Ciaffa and Rogers have produced several films together including the 1999 TV movie “The Devil’s Arithmetic,” starring Kristen Dunst and Brittany Murphy, the 2000 historical and political drama film “Harlan County War” featuring Holly Hunter, and the 2002 historical drama film “Charms for the Easy Life” with Gena Rowlands. Ciaffa has worked as an assistant director in the 1992 sci-fi action films “Doctor Mordrid” and “Trancers III.” He also served as a production associate in the 1988 movie “Big Business,” as a production aide in the 1989 comedy “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and as a key production assistant in the 1991 TV movie “Fourth Story.”

Mimi Rogers was a longtime member of the Church of Scientology and married her Scientology Church counselor, Jim Rogers, in 1977. However, the couple separated in 1980. Her second marriage was to Tom Cruise, who was rising to fame with Top Gun (1986). The pair first met in 1985 and married in 1987. In a 1986 interview with Rolling Stone, Cruise mentioned that he had met Rogers at a dinner party when she was dating one of his friends. However, in a 1987 Sun-Sentinel interview, Rogers stated that she was not seeing anyone at the time and that they were introduced by mutual friends. After three years together, during which they spoke fondly of each other in numerous interviews, the couple divorced in 1990.
