Trevor St. John lands primetime pilot; new character has something in common with Todd

Ready to see former OLTL star Trevor St. John back on TV? Apparently, so is the CW Network.

Fans who have been craving another dose of former soap actor Trevor St. John (ex-Todd Manning/Victor Lord Jr., One Life to Live) are in luck. The actor has landed a role in the new CW pilot, Cordon.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the drama series, written by The Vampire Diaries and The Originals show runner Julie Plec, will chronicle the aftermath of a deadly epidemic outbreak in Atlanta. St. John plays the role of Leo, a once-celebrated personality in the world of journalism who begins receiving mysterious anonymous information about the particulars of the outbreak and the government's response to it. Faced with the shocking info, Leo has to re-tap into his investigative skills in order to uncover the schemes and conspiracies he believes lie at the heart of the outbreak.

Casualty star George Young has been cast as Dr. Victor Cannerts, Director of the CDC, who get quarantined in the city hospital within the cordon and is consequently cut off from his resources.

Previously announced cast members include David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, and Kristen Gutoskie.

What do you think of St. John's new role? Do you think Leo will be a better journalist than Todd? Share your thoughts in the Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
