Mark Consuelos joined the cast of All My Children in February, 1995, as the middle child -- and only son -- of the Santos family, which had relocated from Texas to Pine Valley, Pennsylvania.
Mark was born in Zaragoza, Spain, and grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and Tampa, Florida. He attended Bloomingdale High School and Notre Dame University, where he received his degree in marketing. While living in Illinois, Mark appeared in Hello, Dolly at the Looking Glass Playhouse.
Before joining All My Children, Mark guested on television shows such as Fortune Hunter and SeaQuest.
Mark enjoys traveling to Italy, which he does once a year. His hobbies include working out and playing many sports, particularly softball and soccer. He has one brother, who is a doctor, and a sister, who is a lawyer.
In the summer of 1996, Mark married his onscreen sweetheart Kelly Ripa (Hayley Vaughan) in a very hush hush wedding. The news of the couple's marriage did not surface for several months after they said their I Dos.
