At A Glance
Shane McDermott joined the cast of All My Children in June 1995, as Scott Chandler, teenage son of Stuart and the late Cindy Chandler.

Shane was born and raised in Middletown, New York, and attended Spring High School. He studied acting at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse.

Shane starred as Mitchell Goosen in the feature film, Airborne. Television credits include Law & Order, MTV Beach Party and The Collin Quinn Show. Shane also starred as Garret Booth in the daytime drama, Swan's Crossing."

In his spare time, Shane enjoys golf and skiing.

Shane's role on AMC came to an end in November 1996 as the role of Scott Chandler was recast in an effort to "move the character in another direction." As of 2006, McDermott was selling real estate in Texas and had no plans to return to acting.
