Amanda woke up after the operation, claiming that she had dreamed that something wonderful would happen and that she and Jake would be a part of it. Cara confirmed that Amanda was cancer-free. Kendall was stunned when she saw Zach as he was rushed into the hospital with a life-threatening infection. Griffin and David managed to get Zach's fever and infection under control, so Kendall and Zach reunited. Spike and Ian were overjoyed when Kendall took them to the hospital to visit Zach. Zach sensed that there was something between Griffin and Kendall, so he asked Greenlee about it. Greenlee told Zach that Griffin had saved Kendall's life, and then he had helped her to prove that Ricky Torres had sabotaged Zach's plane. Ryan was surprised to learn from Jesse that Ricky had been killed in prison. Dixie and Tad declared their love for each other and then kissed. Tad told Cara about his feelings for Dixie, but he remained determined to keep Cara from being deported. Cara refused to settle for anything less than real love, so she decided to leave town to avoid standing in the way of Tad and Dixie's reunion. Bianca and Marissa made love. JR's attempt to move the custody hearing up backfired on him when he lost custody of AJ. JR vowed to do whatever was necessary to get his son back. Cara and David found themselves confiding to each other about their troubles. David invited Cara to his place, where they shared a heated kiss.

What happened during the week of
After Liam saved Steffy from drowning, everyone praised Liam. Steffy decided that she felt more than gratitude for him, and professed it to everyone including Brooke, Ridge, Taylor and Hope. Liam told Bill to stay away from Steffy and let her heal after their affair. Bill was miffed and warned Liam that he and Steffy had strong feelings for one another that would not go away overnight. Steffy repeatedly yakked to Hope about being a virgin. Steffy announced that Liam would fall into Steffy's waiting arms because Hope had made him wait too long for sex. Taylor and Brooke sniped at one another because Steffy was making a play for Liam. Brooke informed Taylor that she would not tolerate Steffy's antics of going after another of Hope's boyfriends again. At the "Hope for the Future" fashion show, Liam proposed to Hope while she was on the runway. Applause erupted and Liam knelt on the catwalk with a diamond ring, but Hope appeared panicked and did not answer.

What happened during the week of
Chad survived a gunshot wound, but his brush with death convinced him to move out of the DiMera mansion, against his family's wishes. Kate despised Abigail's influence on Chad. Maggie's family took her off life support, but she recovered against all medical odds. Stefano asked Victor to make peace, but Victor refused. Quinn convinced Carly to return to her family and seek professional help for her drug addiction. Later, Vivian told Carly that Quinn was her son, and that he had been part of the plan to destroy her. Carly confronted Quinn, but she didn't believe that he wanted to help her. She was so humiliated that she took more pills before she left with Melanie to sign into rehab. At Carly's lowest point in rehab, a remorseful Nicholas appeared at her side to comfort her. Daniel surprised Jennifer with a picnic for two at the park. E.J. told Taylor that he was in too deep with his family to ever change. Quinn reminded Taylor of their past connection. Justin agreed to help Hope and Rafe investigate the most recent attack on a prostitute, even after Roman ordered her, Bo, and Rafe off the case. Chloe gave Kinsey some good advice about men. Taylor took a job at the Salem Police Department. Sami and Rafe discussed having a child, and then Sami told Rafe that she thought she might be pregnant.

Dante gave Lulu a key to the loft for her birthday. Shawn had tracked Jax down to Robin's house, and then persuaded Jax to return Josslyn to Carly. A shot rang out when Sonny showed up to confront Jax. Robin was grazed by the bullet, which provided her with the opportunity to stall Sonny long enough for Jax to get away. Jax headed to the airport, but discovered that the wires had been ripped out of the cockpit of the jet. Jax quickly repaired the damage and then took off in the plane. Later, Jax's jet crashed into the harbor. Dante arrested Sonny, and then charged Sonny with Jax's murder. Carly blasted Sonny when she learned that he had been responsible for Jax's death. Lucky raced to Siobhan's side when he learned about the car accident. Lucky remained determined to take down the drug ring. Anthony decided to kill Siobhan when he learned that she had regained consciousness, because she had overheard Anthony's plans for the bakery. Jason suffered a seizure after surgery. Robin recommended another operation to stop Jason's life-threatening seizures from continuing. Tracy was rattled when Skye revealed that she knew that Tracy had skimmed millions from Gino Soleito's mob organization, and then had used the money to save ELQ. Skye was shocked when she discovered Jax, unconscious, near the docks.

Irene Manning revealed that she had given birth to identical twin boys: Todd and Victor. Irene revealed that the man with the scar was the real Todd Manning, and that the man that everyone had believed was Todd was actually her son, Victor. According to Irene, Victor had been brainwashed to believe that he was Todd, and then underwent plastic surgery to look like Walker Laurence as part of an elaborate plan to claim Todd's portion of the Lord fortune, and to help Irene's rogue division of the CIA. The Manning children grappled with the startling news that the father that they had known was actually their uncle. Todd felt betrayed because his loved ones had never realized that Victor was an imposter. Rex continued to have visions of Gigi, so Natalie decided to consult Madame Delphina to find out if Gigi was trying to send Rex a message. Madame Delphina tried to connect with Gigi in the afterlife, but couldn't reach her. However, Madame Delphina received a clue from someone on the other side: Spotted Pony. Rex learned from David that Spotted Pony was a strip club in Kentucky, so Natalie and Rex raced to find out how the club was connected to Gigi. Rex was stunned when a stripper named Gigi was introduced at the Spotted Pony. Dorian was stunned when the governor called to offer her a senate seat. Kelly decided to return to London, so that she could spend more time with her son, Zane. Kelly was overjoyed when Joey insisted on moving to London with her.

Cane was served with divorce papers. Abby told Ronan that Tucker had killed Diane. At Diane's funeral, Victor, Michael, and Jack spoke kindly of Diane for Kyle's sake. Sam took Phyllis to see Sharon. Avery was passive aggressive about getting Sharon a new trial. Lily was unable to make love with Daniel on his birthday because of her memories of Cane. At the funeral, Ronan confronted the murder suspects, urging them to tell the truth -- or else. After an angry exchange, Colin and Genevieve made love. Deacon threatened to reveal that he had seen Phyllis chasing Diane with a rock the night Diane was killed. Nick and Ashley bonded when she told him about the photo she had received in the mail. Deacon forced Phyllis to date him. Avery learned that Adam had destroyed the memory card. Victor offered Sam work on the ranch, then sent him to Victoria's to rent her garage apartment. Without reading them first, Tucker signed the documents regarding McCall Unlimited that Kay had given him. Neil convinced the board to go along with Kay's plan to purchase Jabot. Genevieve trashed her home after Colin called to ask for a divorce. Jack learned that Kyle had hidden his Harvard ring from the cops.
