What happened during the week of
The Forresters managed to get Beverly to return to work. Pam discovered that Nick was interested in Donna. The Logans cooked Christmas dinner at the Forresters' because Pam was angry with Stephanie. Brooke, Katie, and Donna burned the turkey. Fortunately, Bill came to the rescue and showed up with a fully cooked bird. The Spencers and Forresters dined together in harmony. Thorne showed up with Taylor. Steffy and Hope put aside their animosity for the day. Stephanie thanked everyone, including Donna.

What happened during the week of
Madison and Brady warned Sami to stay out of their personal lives and concentrate on her job. Kate offered Sami a generous salary to switch camps and go to work for her at Countess Wilhelmina Cosmetics. Bo and Hope forced Stefano to make good on his IOU to Alice. Rafe, Carrie, Bo, and Hope figured out Stefano's clues and found the evidence they needed that would clear John. The judge granted John's release, and Marlena received her Christmas miracle when John joined her for Christmas Eve, a free man. In an intense argument with Sami, Will almost blurted out that he knew about her one-night stand with E.J. Sami gave in and welcomed John back home, and then invited him and Marlena to be her and Rafe's guests at their wedding renewal ceremony. Sami and Rafe renewed their wedding vows before family and friends at Horton Square. Abigail confided in Melanie that though she had feelings for someone else, they were not reciprocal, and she still loved Chad and decided not to say anything to him about it. Melanie, feeling guilty about her own feelings for Chad, told him that they should forget about what had happened between them because he belonged with Abigail. Chad reluctantly agreed, but could not shake his feelings for Melanie. Daniel confided in Maggie and Victor about his health concerns, and told them that he did not want anyone else to know about it until he learned the cause of his hand tremors. John's freedom caused concerns for E.J, and John vowed to retaliate against whoever framed him. Doug dressed up as Santa and read the Christmas story to the children. The Horton clan gathered at Alice and Tom's home to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

What happened during the week of
Sam found the pieces of Franco's broken DVD in the trashcan, so she realized that Jason had watched the video. Sam assured Jason that she wasn't pregnant, but Jason refused to discuss it. Michael returned home with Abby's body. Michael decided that he would scatter Abby's ashes in a field of lavender in New Zealand, because she had always thought that the place had looked like Heaven. Sonny and Kate's romantic getaway to New York City screeched to halt when Max called with news that there had been a shootout at Pozzulo's, and Bernie had been hit. Bernie slowly recovered from the gunshot after surgery. Spinelli was disappointed when his plans to spend Christmas with Maxie fell through, because Maxie and Matt had worked things out. Lucky learned that Elizabeth had faked her breakdown, in a desperate attempt to win Lucky back. Lucky conceded that he had sent Elizabeth mixed signals, but he could not forgive Elizabeth for the deception. Lucky received another sign that he should return to Ireland, so he told the boys goodbye, and then left before Christmas. Elizabeth felt betrayed when she befriended someone at Shadybrook, who later was revealed to be the psychiatrist who had been assigned to her case. Ewen felt that Elizabeth could benefit from therapy, but she wanted nothing to do with him. However, she had a change of heart after Ethan told her that Lucky had left town. Robin reached out to Brenda to get the name of a doctor who could review Robin's lab results and offer a second opinion. Lulu and Dante decided to get married on Christmas Eve when they went to New York City for a quick getaway. Everyone received special Christmas gifts as they celebrated the holiday.

One Life to Live
Cutter managed to track Gigi down at the Bon Jour Café. Cutter decided to tell the truth to Gigi and Rex, that Stacy had died on that fateful night in the basement. Cutter found himself in handcuffs and arrested for the murder in Kentucky, which he had had framed his sister for. Delbert, the son of the man who had made it possible for a couple in 1968 to return to the future, offered Rex and Gigi a glimpse of the night that Stacy had died. Rex and Gigi were shocked when it was revealed that Gigi had been alive when Stacy had found her, and then had switched clothes with Gigi. Gigi mustered the strength to knock Stacy out, and then stumble out of the basement room. Stacy had been left behind in the room with the leaking generator. Rex realized that the woman before him was Gigi, not Stacy. Gigi's memories flooded back when Rex kissed her. Jack confided to Neela about the night that Gigi had died, unaware that Neela had a hidden tape recorder running. Later, Neela handed the tape of Jack's confession over to Shane. Shane promptly called John to give John the evidence against Jack. Jack was arrested for Gigi's murder on Christmas Eve. Viki was crushed when she saw Clint kiss Kim. Viki fled the house with David moments before Clint confessed to Kim that Viki was the woman he loved, and wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Clint quickly cleared things up with Viki when he realized that she had seen him with Kim.

Patty was in tears when Genevieve accepted Jack's proposal. Nikki tried in vain to stop Victor's sentencing. Sharon realized that Victor had accepted the 25 years to life sentence for murder in order to protect Nikki. At the Christmas pageant, Kay surprised Devon by taking Ana to visit. Harmony met her daughter for the first time in years. At the Newman board meeting, Tucker's deciding vote went to Adam. Nick was furious, but Victor informed Michael that his plan was in place. Despite Victor's request that she stay away, Sharon insisted on visiting him in prison. Angelina sang better when she saw Kevin's face. Nikki learned that Deacon had lied about his knowledge of Diane's murder. On his wedding day, Angelo forced Kevin to attend to Angelina. When Carmine shot at Kevin and Angelina, they went on the run. Sharon spent Christmas at the prison, visiting Victor. Phyllis fumed at Nick for his affair with Avery. Kevin called Chloe to say he couldn't make the wedding because he needed some time. Chloe felt abandoned. Victoria and Billy decided to use the chapel for an impromptu wedding. Rushing to the wedding, Nikki wrecked her car. A guardian angel showed Nikki how desperately her family and friends needed her.
