What happened during the week of
All the Forresters discovered that Steffy had tricked Rick into believing that she had signed the annulment papers. Hope was discouraged, but Liam suggested they could start their lives together without the benefit of marriage -- just living together. Hope wasn't ready to give up her role-model status, but Brooke encouraged her to rethink her decision. While Liam was alone at his place, Steffy called to ask him to visit her at her place. She had romance in mind. Bill visited Liam and told him that he needed to patch things up with Steffy. Rick continued to romantically pursue Steffy in the hopes of persuading her to let Liam go. Katie, Bill, Brooke, and Ridge went out to dinner together. Brooke and Katie agreed that Liam and Hope belonged together, while Ridge and Bill agreed Liam needed some time alone.

What happened during the week of
Nicole fixed the election results to declare E.J. the winner and damage Abe's reputation. Lexie walked out on Abe for lying to her about his lack of ethics during the campaign. Jack helped Abigail and Jennifer to reconcile. Abigail threatened Austin that she would tell Carrie the untruth that they had slept together. Madison told Brady that Ian had never loved her, but had been cheating on her with Kate the entire time that they were married. Madison admitted that Ian had a strange hold on her, and she was indebted to him for her business success. Victor was pleased with Ian's business plan and increased profits for Titan. Ian told Brady that he would never divorce Madison or let her go. Kate was shocked to learn that Madison was Ian's wife. Sami was horrified that Will had told Marlena that she'd had sex with E.J. Marlena tried to convince Sami that secrets had a way of coming out and urged her to tell Rafe the truth to save her marriage. Rafe overheard Will tell Sonny that Sami had had sex with E.J. Rafe confronted Sami and told her that she had ruined their life and marriage. Later, he broke into the DiMera mansion and assaulted E.J. in the middle of his re-marriage proposal to Nicole. Nicole was devastated at E.J.'s betrayal yet again, threw the ring back at him, and stormed out of the mansion. Will got drunk and kissed Neil, but was mortified when Sonny confronted him, and ran off to talk to Marlena. Will asked Marlena if she thought that his actions meant that he was gay. Sami interrupted their conversation and accused Marlena of telling Rafe about her affair with E.J. John and Hope left for Alamania with mixed feelings, leaving Marlena and Bo behind. Bo offered relationship advice to Carrie.

What happened during the week of
Tragedy struck when Robin found Patrick collapsed in the hospital's lab. Robin dragged Patrick to safety, and then returned to the lab to fetch the only vial of life-saving medication for Jason. The lab doors slid closed, and then locked, before Robin could escape, so she put the vial in a small transfer container, and then begged Patrick to go. Patrick vowed to return with help, but the lab exploded seconds after Patrick left. Robin was killed in the blast, and burned beyond recognition. Sam was stunned when Patrick informed her that he did not intend to give Jason the medication, because Patrick blamed Jason for Robin's death. Sam pleaded with Patrick to reconsider, but he was too grief-stricken to see past his pain. An unknown assassin targeted Dante, but Sonny took the bullet when he pushed Dante to the ground. A distraught Kate ended up on the waterfront, wearing her blood-strained wedding gown. Kate confessed to Ewen that she had lost large blocks of time in the past. Things heated up between Carly and Johnny. Molly called Michael for help when T.J. threw a party at the lake house. Michael found Molly passed out, drunk. Alexis was furious when she arrived home, but Molly took the blame. Eventually, T.J. admitted that the party had been his idea, so Alexis forbade Molly to see T.J. again. Starr Manning and Cole Thornhart arrived in Port Charles with their daughter, Hope. Cole suggested that he and Starr get married, but before she could give Cole an answer, Anthony's car careened into their car. Ethan was stunned when Helena revealed that Cassandra was really Irina Cassadine, Helena's daughter, and that Irina had been sent to Port Charles to seduce Ethan. Irina insisted that she loved Ethan, but Ethan sensed that there was more to the story. Helena admitted that she had captured Luke, and then had her bodyguards drag Luke into the parlor.

Adam gave Sharon his mother's wedding ring. After Paul informed Billy and Victoria that Chelsea and Anita were con artists, Billy ordered Anita out of his house. Chelsea chose to stay with Billy and Victoria and let them raise the baby. Adam heroically put out a fire in the barn while Sharon was away from the farm. At the hospice, Phyllis demanded that her father, George, confess the truth about his criminal past. George accused Phyllis of slandering him. When Victor returned from Paris, Nikki confronted him about the Chelsea/Anita situation, and Victor said he had manipulated things for Victoria's sake. Nikki walked out on Victor because he would not back down from his stance about Victoria. Jack asked a tough guy named Sarge to be his physical therapist. Daisy gave Avery proof of Sarah threatening her on video, which Avery used in court to get Daisy's sentence changed to time served. As soon as she was released, Daisy went after Lucy. Daniel stopped Daisy from taking the baby from Phyllis' apartment. Avery overheard George admit to Phyllis that he'd done all the things she'd accused him of doing. Anita got a waitress job at Gloworm and recognized Jeffrey. Ricky offered to move in with Eden when Kevin and Angelina got the keys to their "new" house.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2005
Zach and Ethan pulled Edmund from the burning barn. Jonathan looked for Maggie. Maria and Brooke talked about Maria's marriage to Edmund. Aidan rescued Lily. Maria and David were unable to rescue Edmund and had to come to terms with his death. Jamie wanted to marry Babe right away. Zach refused to defend himself against allegations that he had killed Edmund. Ryan became suspicious that Jonathan had poisoned Greenlee. David, Krystal, and Babe were sentenced. Maria said goodbye to Edmund. Ryan tried to get answers from Zach. Kendall and Greenlee demanded David's help. Brooke couldn't decide if she should tell Maria the truth about Edmund. Greenlee and Kendall planned to get the truth from Jonathan. Zach had an ominous warning for Erica. Ethan told Aidan that he had seen Zach kill Edmund. Erica tried to get through to Lily.

Mike and Katie decided to move on and be friends. Jennifer decided to go back to Street Jeans after seeing Mike and Katie hug. After a shaky start, Metro opened under new management. Celia and Casey bonded. Dusty received a letter from Lucy. Jack opened a murder investigation.

Harley told Gus, Jeffrey, and her family that she remembered pulling the trigger on Phillip, but Alan knew the truth was that Harley really couldn't remember, but had decided to take the plea bargain to save her children and Gus any further emotional trauma. Olivia saw "red" over Bill's devotion and friendship to Harley and Alan's plan to add Sebastian to the president's payroll. Dinah's intervention was a disaster and only antagonized an already "over the edge" individual to take more drastic steps for revenge on Cassie. Jonathan manipulated Reva into pursuing legal action against Edmund for almost causing Jeffrey, Cassie, and RJ to die in the barn fire with the ploy that Reva should save Cassie from her "madman" of a husband before she conceived his child. Edmund isolated an unknowing Cassie from her family and friends in the hopes that no one would interfere with his master plan to conceive a child with Cassie.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2005
Kevin took Todd to the police station and, with the police, tracked Blair down to the junkyard where the car she was in had been towed and crushed. Todd broke the news of Blair's death to Starr and promised revenge on Margaret. Dorian refused to accept Blair's death, but after lying to Addie about Blair, broke down. Bo stunned everyone by announcing Blair had escaped from the car's trunk before it was crushed, but a stranger was the one who had found her unconscious body among some trash. Riley and Jen moved in together, but when Daniel helped unpack, he found that Jen's printer provided more evidence that Jen had given Rex the $10,000. R.J. won temporary custody of Jamie, and Antonio prepared to fight back with Tico's money. By night, Jessica picked up a man at a bar, but by day, having no memory, grew closer to Antonio. Kevin and Kelly said goodbye to Kevin Jr. at the cemetery and tearfully wished they could forgive one another. Natalie let slip to an angry Evangeline that she had advised John on giving her a key, but John had told Evangeline that she was the one.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2005
Fox was shocked when Whitney refused his hand in marriage. TC and Liz arrived on the scene, and TC attacked Chad, furious for interfering in his daughter's life. Whitney stunned everyone when she announced she'd turned down Fox's proposal because she never wanted to get married. Whitney declared she was going to raise her child by herself. Ethan consoled Theresa, who was distraught over their missing baby. Ethan was hesitant when she requested he spend the night with her and Little Ethan. Sam encouraged Martin to reveal his secret to his family, but Martin insisted it would destroy them. After speaking with Father Lonigan, Luis worried that Sheridan was suicidal. Beth pretended to be a caring friend to a tearful Sheridan, all the while planning her rival's "suicide." At an underground nightclub, Jessica and Paloma flirted with men and unwittingly took drugs. Sleazy Randy led a barely-conscious Jessica to a back room and took advantage of her. Having found Paloma at the club and taken her home, Kay and Simone watched over her and worried about Jessica. Kay had a disturbing vision of her sister while a still-high Jessica roamed the streets, getting herself into even more trouble.
