Ridge's doctor ran tests to gauge Ridge's fertility as the first step in recommending a vasectomy reversal. The tests indicated that Ridge was sterile, making a reversal pointless. Caroline visited her own doctor and learned that she was already pregnant. Caroline was hopeful that the baby could be Ridge's, but Ridge revealed that he was unable to impregnate her. Zende overheard Nicole and Thomas discussing their kiss, and Zende's jealousy led him to kiss Nicole and make things official. Ivy went to Forrester and asked Steffy if she could see the wisdom and benevolence in allowing Ivy to return to work at Forrester.

Ben was furious when he caught Abigail and Chad sharing a special moment. Ben pressured Abigail to leave Salem or else their engagement was off. Ben was revealed as the necktie killer. Eduardo showed up in Salem with ties to Eve, Paige, Rafe, and Gabi. Stefano refused to pay Aiden for a job well done. Aiden was in trouble with his loan shark. Adrienne had a health scare. Bo's attempt to escape his captors failed. Andre DiMera arrived in Salem to help Stefano.

Michael managed to talk Morgan out of killing Julian. Carly and Michael implored Morgan to see a psychiatrist, but Morgan refused. Paul agreed to keep the flash drive from surfacing in exchange for Ava cooperating by acting as the figurehead for the Jerome organization. Ava reluctantly agreed to Paul's demands, but she had reservations about framing Julian for the crimes against Sonny. Michael stepped in as the temporary head of the Corinthos organization. Scott secured a court order permitting Ava to take custody of Avery while Sonny was incapacitated. Carly used a loophole to delay Ava from taking Avery. Michael ordered Ric to prove himself to Sonny by having Ava's court order vacated before Ava could get her hands on Avery. Carly suggested that she and Sonny get married right away to gain the upper hand in the custody battle. Jake and Elizabeth set a wedding date. Patrick proposed to Sam, but Sam admitted that she wasn't ready to marry him. Sam went to the Noodle Buddha on the fourth anniversary of her wedding to Jason. Jake ended up at the restaurant and bumped into Sam. Sam confided that a part of her believed that Jason was still alive.

Victoria became jealous when she overheard Victor call Nick the future patriarch of the family. Phyllis became suspicious when she discovered that "Fred" had vacated his trailer, and she later learned that his phone had been disconnected. Ian moved in next to Adam and Chelsea. Nick believed that a computer virus had caused a sudden shift in sales between Newman's divisions. The Paragon Project put Newman's shipping line up for sale at a bargain price online, and Billy purchased it for Jabot. Jack rallied the board to reverse the sale, but Traci's deciding vote sided with Ashley to keep the subsidiary. Noah was livid when he realized that Marisa was Luca's wife. Luca agreed to give Marisa a divorce if she told him the truth about why she'd left him.
