Quinn crashed Wyatt's proposal to Ivy and forced Ivy to confess that Wyatt was her second choice after Liam. Ivy packed to leave town. Before Ivy could go, Steffy and Ivy argued on the mansion staircase, and Ivy fell down the stairs. Brooke was leery about accepting an editorial position at Spencer. Brooke kissed Bill and confided in him that she couldn't do it because she still had feelings for him. Instead of telling Katie about it, Bill helped her talk Brooke into working with them.

Hope copied Rafe's file on Dr. Malcolm. Abigail asked Marlena to help her find out what had happened to Chad. Shawn sent Belle divorce papers. Andre warned Chad to pull through for the family. Stefano seemed to give up. After Thomas became ill, Jennifer and Abigail rushed him to the hospital for tests. Philip consoled Belle and invited her to go out with him. Ava showed up at the Basic Black party with a date, and Joey was jealous. Nicole gave Kate a piece of her mind. Theresa's designs were a big hit. Abigail was shocked to learn that Chad was Thomas' father. Chad made headway with Belle, and Abigail found Chad with Belle. Abigail shocked Chad by revealing that he was Thomas' father. Eric refused to wait for a taxi home and left the party drunk in his own car. A car accident was about to change many lives.

Robin ran into Jason on the footbridge where they had fallen in love. Robin talked to Jason about the past and how he had helped her hope for a future when she'd been diagnosed HIV positive. Jason and Sam spent New Year's Eve together at the Floating Rib. Patrick and Robin became engaged to be married. Mac received DNA proof that Kyle was dead. Elizabeth pleaded with Nikolas to claim the fall from Metro Court's terrace had been an accident, but Hayden objected to Nikolas protecting the man who had tried to kill Nikolas. Nikolas pointed out that there would be advantages to keeping Jason out of jail. Curtis called Hayden to let her know that the ballistics report had confirmed that Shawn's bullet hadn't been responsible for her coma. Johnny recognized Curtis as a police officer. Johnny and Lulu rang in the New Year with a passionate kiss. Dante admitted to Valerie that he still had hope for a future with Lulu. Sonny and Carly were elated when Sonny was able to move his leg.

Dr. Anderson advised Nick against allowing Sage to spend time with Sully. Nick and Faith moved into Sage's penthouse. After learning that Marisa had returned to Luca's bed, Noah told Victor he'd do whatever it took to get the Santoris out of Newman Enterprises. Adam and Luca hatched a plot to expose their fathers' illegal dealings and take over their respective companies. Stitch was disappointed when Jenna refused to allow Max to attend Abby and Stitch's wedding. Ashley collapsed as Abby and Stitch's wedding began, but she insisted that they proceed with the ceremony. Abby and Stitch got married. Dr. Neville guessed that something was seriously wrong with Ashley. Ashley confided her symptoms to Dr. Neville, and they agreed to work on finding a cure together. In an effort to discourage Hilary's feelings for him, Neil arranged for Hilary to see him kissing Nikki. Kevin asked Billy for two million dollars to invest in Natalie's breakthrough technology. Billy tried to raise the money by gambling, but he ended up in debt to his bookie. Jack refused Billy's request for cash. The bookie's goon savagely beat Billy in a parking garage when Billy was unable to repay his debt. Noah unknowingly backed over an unconscious Billy with his vehicle, and Marisa saw Noah driving away. Marisa found a gravely injured Billy and called for an ambulance.
