Meg woke up in her hospital room and was initially happy to find herself surrounded by flowers. When she saw a rose among one of the bouquets, she remembered how Paul had buried Sofie at Fairwinds and then planted roses to hide her. Meg tossed the rose to the ground as Paul arrived. He realized Meg was remembering Sofie and quickly tried to take his wife's mind off of the past. Paul said he had convinced the doctors she was ready to be discharged and Meg was thrilled. Paul noticed Meg was having trouble walking and asked her if she was all right. Meg explained she was just a little tired, but was no longer seeing Sofie. Paul was shocked by Meg's statement and asked her what she meant. Meg explained she thought she saw Sofie dressed as a bride and standing in the hall on their wedding day. Paul reassured Meg that Sofie was gone and prepared to take his wife home. Before they left, Meg reminded Paul to grab the necklace his mother had let her borrow for the wedding ceremony. Paul put the necklace in his pocket and the happy couple left for Fairwinds.

Once they arrived home, Paul showed Meg that he had the roses that had marked Sofie's makeshift grave removed. He hoped to begin their marriage without any reminders of that terrible time. Meg noticed Paul had the necklace from the hospital in his pocket and asked him to put it on her. Once the necklace was on, Paul picked Meg up and took her into the house.

As the couple got cozy on the couch, Margo arrived and told them that they might be facing charges because they hid Sofie's body. Meg grew agitated very quickly and began yelling at Margo. Suddenly, Meg became lightheaded and Paul insisted she sit down and rest while he spoke with Margo in the study. Alone and recovering, Meg heard a noise outside and got up to investigate. Meg was stunned when she looked out the window and saw the ghostly image of Sofie standing in the spot where she had been buried. Meg was horrified and began to scream at Sofie to leave her and Paul alone. Meg ran into the garden to confront her hallucination. Sofie admonished Meg for happily celebrating her marriage to Paul, while she and her baby rotted away. Meg became overwhelmed with grief and sadness and collapsed, just as Margo and Paul came into the garden. Paul rushed to her side and took Meg inside.

Once Meg had regained consciousness, she told Paul and Margo about her confrontation with Sofie and explained what she saw. Paul was concerned about Meg's well-being and insisted she stay on the couch while he showed Margo out.

Alone at Fairwinds, Meg and Paul sat on the couch and Meg seemed concerned that Sofie would return. Paul tried to comfort his wife that Sofie was gone, but she was still jittery and anxious. Meg explained she felt restricted and asked Paul to take off the necklace. Moments later she laid down to rest in his arms and finally seemed at peace.

At her office, Emily received a gift box with two bottles of perfume in it and instantly noticed one was her mother's favorite fragrance. She believed the package had come from a grateful advertiser and sprayed a little on before she threw both bottles into her purse.

Tom and Margo arrived at the Lakeview for lunch with Casey. Margo hoped the lunch was the beginning of Casey admitting he was wrong about Emily, but Tom thought it was simply lunch. Casey arrived and tried to persuade his parents that he was ready to act like an adult and wanted them to focus on the future and forget the past. As he was explaining his desires, Emily arrived and Casey jumped up to greet her. Emily was surprised that Tom and Margo were at the table and was not excited about eating lunch with Casey's parents. Margo was not thrilled by the idea, either, and turned away in anger, refusing to look at Emily. Emily grabbed Casey and took him to the lobby to ask him what the hell he was thinking. Casey convinced Emily to sit down and at least try to make things better. As Emily sat, Margo jumped up and excused herself. Casey had heard enough and demanded that his mom sit down and get along.

Everyone agreed to stay, but Margo and Emily took little jabs at one another throughout the lunch. Tom and Casey tried to keep the peace, but when Margo insulted Emily one time too many, Emily stormed out. Casey asked his mom to give Emily a break, but Margo was not ready to give up, and left. Tom told his son that he was never going to get anywhere pushing Emily and Margo together and Casey agreed. He left to find Emily and apologize.

Alison and Susan met at Java for their morning coffee and Susan noticed right away that Alison was looking tired. Susan wanted to know if Alison was taking care of herself, but Alison explained she was fine and was just working hard in nursing school. Susan insisted that Alison let her do an examination and make sure Alison had not picked up a nasty bug at the hospital. Alison finally gave in and the two left for Memorial.

Susan checked Alison out and told her she was medically fine, but was most likely overstressed by school. Alison insisted she needed to work hard to prove she could get through nursing school on her own. She then told her mom she had become superstitious about wearing the new bracelet her father sent her. She explained she was doing well until the clasp broke on the bracelet and was happy she would be getting her new good luck charm back that day. After Susan looked her over, Alison went to the jeweler to retrieve her bracelet before returning to Memorial for her classes.

After her disastrous lunch with Casey and his parents, Emily stopped by the hospital to drop off a bottle of the new perfume for her mother. Susan was happy to get the gift, but noticed Emily was not looking well. Emily recounted the horrible lunch date and Susan reminded Emily that dating Casey might not be a great choice. Emily was quickly angered and told her mother to leave her alone. Susan left to check on a patient as Emily stewed over her mother's criticism.

Moments after Susan walked away, Casey arrived and found Emily. She immediately lashed out at Casey and told him his lunch idea was immature and stupid. Casey pulled Emily into a private room and Emily began screaming at him. Alison heard the two fighting and asked Emily what was wrong. Emily said she did not know what was going on, but she felt agitated, but was also dizzy and nauseous. Emily excused herself to go to the restroom. Alison was confused by Emily's behavior, but congratulated Casey on trying to get his family and Emily to make peace. Alison admitted she was shocked when she heard Casey was dating her sister, but she wished the couple well and gave Casey a hug.

Emily stumbled to the restroom and splashed some water on her face. She wanted to refresh herself before heading back, so she spritzed herself with more of the new perfume. Emily returned to find Casey and Alison hugging. Emily grabbed her sister by the arm and told her to let go of Casey. Emily continued her rant and called Alison a tramp. Casey and Alison tried to calm Emily down, but she would not stop yelling. Finally, Casey took hold of Emily by the arm and led her out of the hospital. Alison stood in the hall, stunned by her sister's odd behavior.

Casey took Emily back to her office and Emily explained she did not know where her anger had come from. She apologized for her behavior, but Casey said he felt responsible because he tricked her into having lunch with his parents. Emily said she could not justify her actions and worried she would lose Casey. Casey reassured Emily they would be fine.

Chris and Bob took the day off together to play a little golf. Bob tried to give Chris a little advice about his game, but it was obvious that Chris was rapidly becoming agitated by his father's suggestions. As they continued their game, Chris almost collapsed on the course. Bob helped him to his feet and noticed Chris looked sick. Bob observed that Chris's eyes were glassy and Chris laughingly remarked that he had said the same thing to Alison when they met up at Java. Bob checked Chris's pulse and said it was racing. Bob then saw the new watch on his son's wrist. Chris said the watch was a gift from Kim, and Bob was surprised by the news that his wife had bought Chris such a nice present without telling him. Bob then insisted that Chris go with him to the hospital to get checked out.

At Memorial, Bob sent Chris's blood work to the lab, but noticed his son was sweating and looking worse than before. Chris told his father he was fine and probably just had a virus. Once Bob left the room, Chris sat back down and frantically began to rip his clothes off and, in the middle of his strip down, finally took off the watch.

Alison went into the on-call room to put her things away and found Chris naked and shaking. She told him to put his clothes on and pull himself together. She left him alone and Chris seemed to wake up and realize he was not acting right. Alison waited for Chris to dress and returned to ask him if he was all right. Chris tried to explain what had happened, but Alison thought he was there for a romantic rendezvous with another woman. As they spoke, Alison realized Chris was really sick and told him to take care of himself. She noticed he had left his watch behind and handed it to him before he left.

Henry and Vienna lounged in bed in the morning, and Vienna announced that it was the day they were going shopping to buy decorations to spruce up the diner. "Where might this money be coming from?" asked Henry. Vienna, who fell for Henry's deception that he had sold back his interest in Metro to Carly, told him that they would use some of the money from that sale. After all, she had seen the phony sales contract and thought it was a done deal.

Liberty came by the diner to talk with her mother before going to summer school. Janet reminded her they had not finished their previous day's conversation about Liberty and Parker. Liberty denied the two of them had sex, but she could not fool her mother. Liberty broke down and cried and told her mother she was frightened that her mother was angry at her. Janet quizzed her daughter about her experience, which was not all that satisfactory, according to Liberty. Janet explained that it was tricky going back to just being friends with someone with whom you had been intimate. Liberty was upset that Parker had not called her before he left on the fishing trip with Jack. The girl left for class.

Jack and Parker cut short their fishing trip and returned early. It was Parker's idea that they return home. They got to Carly's, and Jack was disappointed he hadn't had male bonding time with his son. Jack began a discussion, but Parker was not receptive. Jack was afraid Parker might be pushed into something he wasn't prepared for. Parker had a tennis student and left for work.

Brad spent his early morning trying to get into Liberty's laptop computer. He could not correctly guess her password, and that frustrated him. Katie thought his actions were a terrible invasion of Liberty's privacy, but Brad was determined to get information on his daughter. Katie grabbed the computer away from him, but Brad had already decided on another tack. He left to demand that Janet take back all the birth control supplies she had gotten for Liberty. His theory was that you shouldn't hand over all the supplies and then forbid the action.

Henry approached Katie, desperate to borrow $5000 from her. He confessed all about the phony contract and deceiving Vienna, and called himself an idiot. Katie suggested he come clean and tell the truth, but Henry was so pathetic in his pleading, that Katie loaned him the money.

Vienna went to the diner and saw that Janet was upset from her conversation with Liberty. Vienna offered to take Janet's shift, and as a grateful Janet was leaving, Jack showed up and volunteered to drive her back to the farm. Janet blurted out that the kids had tried sex, and Jack was stunned by the news. He wanted to know all the details, but Janet said she felt that was confidential. Janet was questioning whether that relationship was finished despite Liberty's protests that it would never happen again.

Brad went to the farm and told Jack that no way, no how, was Parker going to have sex with his daughter. Brad was obviously unaware that the teens had already been sexually active. Jack promised his brother that everything was under control, and Janet said nothing to make Brad think otherwise. Brad demanded that Janet take back the birth control supplies, and Janet swore she would. After Brad left, both Jack and Janet felt bad for lying to Brad, but they knew how easily he overreacted.

Parker and Liberty met at school and both realized they had misunderstood the other. Parker told her his dad wanted to talk about him and Liberty, and Liberty told Parker that she had told her mother what happened and had promised it would not happen again. Both of them had their classes cancelled, so they decided to go to Brad and Katie's to hang out.

Brad reported back to WOAK and told Katie that he, Janet, and Jack were all on the same page as far as the teens were concerned. There would be no more problems with Parker and Liberty!

Henry went back to the diner and showed Vienna $2000 that Katie had loaned him. As Vienna prepared to go shopping, Carly called Henry and asked him to fill in at Metro. Henry told Vienna he was too ill to go shopping and begged off the trip. Vienna left for her shopping, and Henry left for Metro. Soon, Vienna returned to their room at the Lakeview expecting to find a sick Henry in bed, but the room was empty.

Emma came back to the farm with fresh peaches for one of her famous pies. Janet said not everyone liked peaches and perhaps she should make a yummy tiramisu instead. This did not go over well with Emma. When Janet excused herself momentarily, Emma lit into Jack that he had brought a strange woman into her house, who had proceeded to rearrange her kitchen, and Emma could not find anything. Jack chose to defend Janet who returned and promised to make Jack something special in the kitchen.

Brad and Katie finished their segment on "Oakdale Live," and Brad told her that Janet and Jack had the kids' problems well in hand. Suddenly, Brad realized he had forgotten to turn off Liberty's computer, and she would know he had been snooping. He dashed for home. Vienna came to the station looking for Henry, and Katie suggested she have a long talk with him when she found him. After Vienna left, Katie dashed to Metro to warn Henry that Vienna had concerns that he was gambling again. The fact that the money he showed her was cash had made her suspicious. Henry went over all the sins he had committed in setting up the fake sales contract, unaware that Vienna had come in and heard his whole litany. She went home and began packing her bags.

Brad got a speeding ticket on the way home for going 85 mph in a 35 mph zone. His so-called fame as a television star did nothing to mitigate the fine, however. He walked in the front door to see Liberty and Parker on the couch, opening a condom.

Brad arrived at home just in time to find Parker and Liberty making out and getting ready to open a condom. Brad immediately demanded to know what was going on and Liberty tried to calm her father down, but once Brad found the condom wrapper on the floor, there was no chance Brad was going to believe anything Liberty said. Katie came home just as Brad grabbed Parker and told him not to even look at Liberty. Liberty promised she would not sleep with Parker, but Brad had heard enough and dragged Parker out of the house.

Brad pulled Parker to the police station and demanded to see Jack. Brad told Jack that he had caught Parker and Liberty with an open condom alone in his house and wanted Jack to help him deal with Parker. As Brad recounted exactly what he discovered at his home, Janet arrived and overheard everything. Parker tried to persuade everyone that he and Liberty were just kissing, but no one believed him. Janet was relieved that the kids were using a condom and said she thought she and Jack had persuaded Liberty and Parker not to have sex again. Brad became enraged when he realized that Parker and Liberty had already had sex, and that Jack and Janet knew. Jack had to restrain Brad from going after Parker.

Brad became even more furious when Janet explained that she and Jack had talked to the kids and told them to just go back to being friends. Brad knew how ridiculous that sounded and was angered that no one told him. Jack had heard enough of Brad's ranting and was ready to take Parker home. Before they could leave, Brad warned Parker to stay away from Liberty or he would break his legs. Jack told Brad to never threaten Parker again and to focus on his own daughter. Janet asked Brad where Liberty was and once she learned she was at home, Janet left to talk to her daughter.

Janet arrived at Brad and Katie's and immediately reassured Liberty that everything would be fine. Liberty became even more upset when Janet told her that Brad knew she and Parker had already had sex. Liberty was worried that Brad would completely overreact, but Janet thought she could get everything back on track by talking to Jack. Moments after Janet left, Brad came home with a new friend for Liberty, a menacing bodyguard name Ugo. Katie pulled Brad off to the side and explained that Liberty had told her everything while he was gone and she did not think Ugo was the solution. Brad insisted that he was going to protect Liberty any way he needed to, and was convinced Ugo was the right choice. After giving Ugo strict instructions that Liberty was not to be near any boys, Brad and Katie left for work.

After leaving the station, Jack took Parker home and explained that Parker was too young to be having sex. Parker did not want to listen to his father's advice and argued that he was making better decisions than either of his parents. Jack admitted that he and Carly had not been a great example, but insisted that Parker and Liberty were too young to deal with the emotional ramifications of an adult relationship. Jack insisted that he would put an end to Parker and Liberty's sexual escapades, but Parker smugly asked his father how he planned on stopping them. Jack had heard enough and told Parker he was no longer allowed to be alone with Liberty and would only see her in public and at family events. Parker reluctantly said he understood, but he obviously was not happy with Jack's decision.

Janet arrived at Jack's house to check on Jack and Parker. Jack insisted he should not have listened to Janet and should have followed his instincts, and done more to keep Liberty and Parker apart. Janet did not understand why Jack and Brad were treating the kids like criminals, but Jack explained he did not want his fifteen-year-old having sex. Janet tried to dismiss Liberty and Parker's behavior as normal, but Jack was not amused. He told Janet that she had to stop acting like Liberty's friend and be her mother. Janet had heard enough, and left.

Later, Liberty phoned Parker to make sure he was all right and told him about her new bodyguard. Parker could not believe what Brad had done and explained to Liberty that Jack barred him from seeing her. Parker insisted that no one could keep them apart.

Holden returned to Lily's house and asked if he could go with her to pick up Faith and Natalie from camp. Lily was outraged that Holden had the nerve to ask to drive with her to camp, and did not want to pretend to be a happy family. Lily blamed Holden for destroying their family, but finally agreed to go with him so that their daughters did not have to learn about their separation on their first day home from camp.

Carly was forced to drive to camp to pick up Sage after Jack had to deal with Parker and Brad. She was concerned that she would bump into Holden or Lily at the campsite and worried that there would be a confrontation in front of the kids. When Carly arrived at camp, Sage was happy to see her and asked for a few minutes to say goodbye to her new friends. Carly was eager to leave, but gave in to Sage's request.

Holden and Lily arrived at the camp and Lily demanded that Holden wait for her in the car while she got the girls. Holden stood and watched Lily walk away, but moments later, Sage walked up and hugged Holden. Carly and Holden saw one another and both exuded tension. Sage shared her happy camp memories with Holden and asked if she could come out to the farm with Carly to show him her new riding skills. Holden was pleased to learn about Sage's newfound love for horses and welcomed her to ride anytime she wanted. When Lily returned with Faith and Natalie, she was not happy to find Carly there. When the girls ran off to say goodbye to their horses, Carly tried to walk away, but Lily was ready for a fight.

The camp counselor, Winky, walked over to meet Lily and tried to joke with Lily about how she had thought Carly and Holden were the married couple. Winky went on to explain how she had even made Carly and Holden bunk together. Lily was not amused and Holden looked like he wanted to crawl under the nearest rock. Winky pulled Holden away to take care of some paperwork. Once Lily was alone with Carly, she wasted no time in telling Carly exactly how much she despised Carly's affair with Holden. Lily demanded to know which cabin Carly and Holden had begun their affair in. Lily continued and questioned how Carly could sleep with Holden with the girls so nearby. Carly looked ashamed and confessed to Lily that Faith had almost discovered Holden and Lily together. Disgusted, Lily rushed Faith and Natalie into the car and left without Holden.

When Holden was done with Winky, he returned to the car and found Carly waiting. He asked where Lily and his girls had gone, and Carly explained that Lily had left after learning that Faith had seen Carly and Holden together. Holden was frustrated that Lily was angry and alone with his daughters, free to tell them about his mistake. He was worried that Lily would tell them about his affair. Carly insisted that Holden let her give him a ride back to town and he agreed. Carly dropped off Holden at home and the two shared a longing glance before he got out of the car.

When Lily returned home with Faith and Natalie, Faith immediately questioned her mom about why Holden had not driven home with them. Lily reassured her daughter that everything would be fine. The girls went upstairs to put their things away and Holden arrived home. He angrily asked Lily why she left him and explained he did not want the girls exposed to that type of negative behavior. Lily responded that Holden had not been thinking about the girls when he was bedding Carly yards away from his daughter's cabin. Lily had heard enough of Holden's lectures and refused to listen to him. Lily told Holden to get out and, after their long day of arguing, he happily left.

At the Lakeview, Vienna angrily packed her belongings and prepared to leave Henry because he lied to her about selling Metro. Vienna could not understand why Henry continued to mislead her, and wanted time away from him. Henry pleaded with Vienna to stay and tried to justify his behavior. Vienna said she had lost her faith in Henry, but he was convinced he could persuade her to stay. He begged Vienna to give him a little time and she agreed to wait for him in the room.

Once Henry returned, he fell to his knees and presented Vienna with an engagement ring. He promised her he would always put her before everything and would always love her. Henry begged Vienna to marry him. Vienna believed Henry was only proposing to get out of trouble and did not accept. Vienna said she needed to go away to find herself again and kissed Henry goodbye, as he pleaded with her to stay.

Emma asked Holden how his trip to the girls' camp went, and he told her that Lily had abandoned him there and he had to hitch a ride home with Carly and Sage. Emma quizzed him on how badly he wanted Lily back and offered to talk with her. She decided to throw a big family barbecue to welcome Faith and Natalie home.

The Snyder girls were glad to see their brother, Luke, and Faith was concerned that Luke and Noah might move to California where gay marriages were allowed. Luke assured them that he was staying home. The girls asked Lily why Holden did not spend the night at the house, and Faith bluntly wanted to know if her parents were breaking up again. Luke fixed the girls a pancake breakfast and put them on cleanup duty.

Liberty complained about her "house arrest" to Brad, and she especially resented Ugo, the giant bodyguard. Brad left for work, and Janet arrived and was taken aback by Ugo. He explained that his job was to keep Liberty safe, but Janet was not convinced. She planned to take Liberty home with her despite the protests of "Lurch," as Liberty called Ugo. Janet and Liberty pushed past Ugo, but they were intercepted at the door by a returning Brad. He argued with Janet that he would do whatever it took to keep their daughter safe. Janet asked to take Liberty home with her, but Brad refused. Brad went to Liberty's room to get her, only to discover that the girl was gone.

Emma called Lily and invited her and the children to the barbecue at the farm. Lily accepted but then had second thoughts about going. Luke went to Java to invite Noah, who tried to cheer up a downcast Luke.

Carly asked Jack to come over and help with a sullen Parker. She suspected something else was going on besides the boy's anger with her. She queried Jack if he knew anything, and it was obvious to her that Jack did. Finally he shared with her that Parker and Liberty had become sexually active, and Carly went ballistic. She was furious that she seemed to be the last in the family to know, and she called Parker down from his room. She told him she knew about his relationship with Liberty, and Parker was especially rude to his mother. That earned him harsh words from Jack, so Parker turned his back and returned to his room. Carly left to take Sage to the Snyder barbecue.

The Snyder family gathered at the farm and the girls continued to question Holden about his absence from their house the night before. Faith got upset and accused her parents of splitting up again and declared that they must not love their children anymore. Carly drove in and dropped off Sage. Lily approached her former friend and screamed at her to leave her husband alone. She told Carly that she could not have sex with Holden and then just walk away. Lily was not aware that Faith and Luke had walked up and heard her loud discourse with Carly. Lily apologized to her children, but Faith yelled that she hated both of her parents and ran off.

Luke caught Sage and tried to comfort her by the pond. Lily accused Holden of inviting Carly, but Holden denied it. He told Lily that she was out of control and was damaging the children. The two dredged up their old memories of each other's affairs until Lily told Holden that she could not be around him, and she went home.

Janet and Brad panicked when they realized Liberty had slipped past them and Ugo. Brad fired Ugo on the spot, and he and Janet took off to find their daughter. Meanwhile, Liberty called Parker and asked him to climb out his bedroom window and meet her at Java. Parker agreed.

Carly returned home and told Jack how awful the scene had been at the farm. Jack suggested that she and Sage take a trip together, perhaps to Montana, to have a change of scene. He offered to stay at the house with Parker, and JJ was still at camp. The two of them hugged.

Brad found Liberty at Java and slung her bodily over his shoulder and carried her out. When Parker arrived, he could not find Liberty and tried to phone her. In Brad's car, Liberty was giving her father backtalk and trying to text on her phone. Brad grabbed the phone from her and pitched it out the window into a field of corn.

Noah and Luke arrived at the farm, and Noah assured Luke that if the situation got too rough at the farm, the two of them could always get a place together. This pleased Luke, and they kissed.

At the Lakeview, Bob met Chris, who apologized for being late and said he couldn't find his new watch. Bob told Chris his lab work had shown an unidentified compound in his blood, but since Chris wasn't still having symptoms, Bob decided not to pursue the matter.

In the lounge, Alison was trying to study but seemed jumpy, twisting her new bracelet repeatedly. When Aaron sat down to talk to her, she told him she thought she should go to the hospital to study. On her way out, she spotted Chris talking to his dad. Alison went back into the lounge and told Aaron she didn't want to see Chris. When Aaron asked what Chris had done this time, Alison told him about finding Chris naked in the on-call room at the hospital. Aaron suggested Alison take the back way out of the hotel.

After Alison left, Aaron went into the lobby and confronted Chris, telling him to stay away from Alison. Aaron told Bob about Chris's naked exhibition at the hospital. Bob couldn't believe it, but Chris confirmed it had happened and explained to his father that he'd had some type of blackout the day they'd been golfing, when Bob had been so concerned about Chris's health. Aaron left after giving Chris another warning to stay away from Alison. Bob asked Chris to tell him exactly what had happened. Chris said his skin had felt super-sensitive, like he didn't want anything touching it, and the next thing he remembered, he'd been naked and Alison had walked in. Bob said they should do an MRI on Chris to find out what was going on, and they headed back for the hospital.

Alison arrived at the hospital, where Susan grabbed her almost immediately and took her aside. Susan told Alison she'd found out that Alison had gotten a C-minus on her last test, after having gotten a C on the test before that one. Alison was surprised to hear her last grade had been that low. Susan suggested that perhaps Alison had returned to school too soon and should take some time off before she flunked out and lost her chance to successfully complete the program. Alison became extremely irritated at her mother, accusing her of spying on her and rubbing her bad performance in her face. She stormed out of the room.

Chris ran into Alison at the hospital and asked her why she'd told Aaron about the incident in the on-call room after she'd promised she wouldn't say anything to anyone. Alison said she'd made no such promise, and she had other things to think about at the moment. She walked away, but Chris followed and overheard her leaving a message for Aaron. In her message, Alison said she felt that she was wrecking everything. She told Aaron she was going to go to the pond and asked him to meet her there. When Alison left, Chris did, too.

Alison arrived at the Snyder pond, where she stared at the water vacantly and then walked into the pond, fully clothed. As she disappeared beneath the surface of the water, Chris ran after her, shouting her name. When Alison didn't surface, Chris dove into the pond. He located her and pulled her out of the water, then gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation until she recovered. Alison was confused and didn't know what she had done until Chris told her. He wanted to take her to the hospital, but Alison said she couldn't go there and have everyone know what had just happened. Chris agreed not to take her there. He picked her up and carried her off and instead took her back to his room at the Lakeview.

At Fairwinds, Meg woke up late and told Paul she wanted to go out for lunch. Dressing, she put on the necklace Barbara had loaned her to wear at her wedding. As Paul came back into the room, Meg heard strange music, but when she asked Paul about it, he said he didn't hear any music. Paul was concerned about Meg's health, but Meg insisted she was fine. They went to the Lakeview for lunch. Paul went upstairs to invite Barbara to join them, telling Meg to go ahead and get a table.

Meg stumbled as she walked up to the table; Aaron saw her and went to help her. He gave her a drink of water and went back to the bar after Meg assured him she was fine. Aaron then checked his cell phone and heard Alison's desperate message. He asked his boss for the rest of the day off, but on his way out of the lounge, he saw Chris in the elevator, carrying a very wet Alison in his arms. Aaron went up to Chris's room and pounded on the door, demanding to be let in. Alison told Chris to let Aaron come in. Aaron went to Alison, who was huddled under blankets on Chris's bed, trying to get warm. Aaron asked what had happened, but Alison told him she couldn't remember anything except going to the pond and then being brought back to town by Chris. Aaron asked Chris what he'd done to Alison. Chris said Aaron wouldn't believe him no matter what he said. Aaron agreed and called the police.

Margo went to Chris's suite, where Chris explained what had happened and why he had followed Alison to the pond. Aaron insisted Chris must have drugged Alison. Alison couldn't remember exactly what had happened. When Aaron told Margo that Alison had been afraid of Chris, he backed it up by telling her about the incident in the on-call room. When Chris admitted the incident had occurred, Margo said she would have to take him to the police station for questioning. At the station, Chris asked Margo to test Alison's blood. He said he hadn't drugged her, but something was definitely wrong with Alison. Margo agreed to have lab work done on Alison, then she read Chris his rights.

Alone at her table at the Lakeview, Meg had a hallucination of Sofie pushing a baby carriage. Sofie told Meg to think about the fact that Paul had let Sofie die in his arms, pregnant with what he had thought was his baby, then buried her to dispose of her body. Meg shouted at Sofie to stop, and everyone else in the lounge looked at Meg strangely for shouting at someone who wasn't there. Embarrassed, Meg got up and walked out of the lounge.

Paul came into the lounge with Barbara and asked a waiter if he had seen Meg. The waiter told Paul that Meg had left in a hurry and had been acting strangely. When Paul asked what he meant, the waiter told him Meg had been talking to someone who wasn't there.

Meg drove herself to the farm and told Emma she'd been having dreams about Sofie and that even though she knew Sofie was dead, she was still afraid of her. Meg asked if her mother thought she was going crazy. Emma said absolutely not, nor did she think Meg was being terrorized by a ghost. Emma said she thought the only person Meg was afraid of was Paul. Meg became upset and asked why Emma would think such a thing. Emma replied that Paul had buried Sofie on his own property to hide her body. Meg said Paul had done that to protect her, but Emma pointed out that that just meant that the man Meg loved had believed her to be capable of murder. Emma then said that at his core, Paul was an angry, vindictive man. Meg asked rhetorically why she had even come to see her mother, and Emma responded that Meg had come because she knew Emma wouldn't sugarcoat things for her. Emma said if Meg had wanted someone to say, "There, there," and pat her hand and tell her platitudes, she would have talked to her husband, not her mother.

Paul called at that moment, and Meg told him she had left the Lakeview because she'd suddenly felt a need to see her mother. She told Paul she would come back to pick him up, but Paul said he could get home and would meet her there. Meg told him how much she loved him, and they hung up. Meg told Emma she hadn't told Paul about her hallucination because she hadn't wanted to worry him. Emma hugged Meg and suggested she move back to the farm for a while, so that Emma could take care of her, but Meg said she couldn't do that.

Barbara told Paul she was concerned about Meg and thought perhaps Meg should see a psychiatrist. Paul insisted Meg would be fine. He went home, where he met Meg and put her to bed for a nap. When he left the room, Barbara called to give him the phone number of a psychiatrist. Paul began to ball up the piece of paper he'd written the number on to throw it away, but he changed his mind and put the crumpled paper in his pocket. Meanwhile, Meg had another vision of Sofie and the baby carriage. In the carriage, Meg saw a handgun. Sofie told Meg that Paul had to pay for what he'd done, and Meg would have to kill him.

Emily and Casey were having coffee at Java when Emily suddenly remembered she had an appointment for an interview. She sprayed on some of her new perfume and left for her interview. Emily went to the police station, where she tried to get information from Officer Banks about a home invasion. Margo interrupted and sent Officer Banks on his way. Emily started to lay into Margo but physically stumbled and had to regroup. She then told Margo to go ahead and insult her, but Margo said she didn't need to and that she was going to leave Emily alone in the future. Emily asked why, and Margo replied that she had realized Casey would grow tired of Emily on his own, without any interference from his parents.

Emily again stumbled on her way out of the police station, prompting Margo to ask if Emily was playing the sympathy card. Emily said no and told Margo that whether she liked it or not, Casey and she were in a committed relationship. Margo told Emily to think about what would happen when Casey tired of explaining his much older girlfriend to his friends and decided he'd rather be with someone closer to his own age. Emily tried to slap Margo, but Margo caught her arm and reminded her there were penalties for assaulting an officer. Emily left, still angry.

Emily went to Java, where she found Casey talking to a girl from school. After Casey introduced them, the younger girl left. Emily asked if people thought of her as a "cougar," an older woman who liked younger men. Casey said he didn't think so but he didn't care. Emily asked if Casey had meant it when he said he wouldn't let anything come between them. Casey said he had, and Emily said, "Then marry me, now." When he realized she was serious, Casey agreed. Casey and Emily took a flight out of town, and en route, Emily sprayed on some more perfume. When they arrived at their destination, Casey and a very eager Emily were married in a civil ceremony.
