Joey and Jade's Californian adventure takes a darker twist when Dirk's dirty laundry comes out
As it turns out, during a robbery, Dirk killed a clerk, and his days of bloodshed aren't over
Dirk holds Joey, Jade, and her aunt, Simone, hostage, but Steve and Kayla rush to save the day
During the standoff with Dirk, his gun goes off as he struggles with Joey, who is gravely injured
Steve, Kayla, and Jade are beside themselves as they wait for news of Joey's surgery's prognosis
Chad also finds himself a bundle of nerves when he's called to Shady Hills because of an emergency
With Marlena in tow, Chad discovers there was a fire, which caused Abigail to become severely burned
A bandaged Abigail is sure Ben set the fire, but Shawn-Douglas knows who really started the blaze
Chad asks Shawn-Douglas for answers, but Chad may not be ready for the entire truth about Abigail
As Ciara questions her feelings for Chad, he expresses his sorrows due to his drunken state of mind
Jennifer expresses her feelings when Julie decides to stay at the Horton house as Jennifer recovers
With J.J.'s help, Julie moves in, but Julie might find living there a lot more dramatic than expected
J.J.'s drama with Rory is far from over, as he feels guilty and Rory holds J.J. responsible for his troubles
Theresa gets a little overdramatic when trying to convince Brady they should marry as soon as possible
Summer also has Brady on her mind and shares her feelings for him with a concerned Maggie

Justin finds himself in the hot seat when Roman declares the police are investigating missing evidence

Hope and Aiden find themselves in a familiar situation as they have a romantic meal for two
Aiden's desire to wine and dine Hope may not go so smoothly when Hope spots Rafe with Blanca
