It's the end of the line for Ava Vitali, and unfortunately, that also means that Tamara Braun's time on Days of our Lives has also come to an end.

Two-time Daytime Emmy winner Tamara Braun announced that she has finished her run on Days of our Lives. The actress shared the news on Instagram.

"Hey all you Days fans!! If you want to see Ava off, tune into DOOL today for her last day in Salem," Braun wrote in a caption to a collage of photos that chronicled a typical workday on the NBC-turned-Peacock soap.

"Thanks for all the love and support you continue to show me. I will miss you all!!" Braun concluded, along with a reminder that she will remain active on social media.

Braun has an extensive daytime résumé. She has appeared on three daytime dramas -- and has played five different roles. On ABC's General Hospital, Braun appeared as both Carly Corinthos and Kim Nero. Her work as Carly from 2001 to 2005 landed her two Daytime Emmy nominations. In 2020, Braun was awarded the Outstanding Supporting Actress trophy for her work as Kim. From 2008 to 2009, she portrayed Reese Williams on All My Children. During her time on AMC, her character was part of the first lesbian wedding in scripted daytime television history.

On DAYS, Braun originated the role of Ava Vitali in February 2008. She remained with the show for a year before exiting. She returned for another stint that ran from 2015 to 2016, which ended with Ava apparently being smothered to death. In between her DAYS stints as Ava, Braun briefly took on the role of Taylor Walker in 2011. Braun won her first Daytime Emmy in 2009 in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category.
