American actress Demi Moore was born in Roswell, New Mexico, U.S. She became the highest-paid actress in the world in 1995 after starting her career in the early 1980s. In addition to being nominated for an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award, she has received a Golden Globe Award and a Satellite Award.
In 1981, she debuted in a motion picture and became a cast member of the daytime soap series General Hospital. She became renowned as a member of the Brat Pack after leaving the program in 1983, thanks to her roles in About Last Night... (1986), Blame It on Rio (1984), and St. Elmo's Fire (1985). Moore made a name for herself as a bankable star with 1990's highest-grossing movie, Ghost.
