Bradley Whitford is an American actor and producer, born on October 10, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. He studied English and theater at Wesleyan University and graduated in 1981. He later studied drama at the Juilliard School. He started his acting career in the 1980s and has been working in Hollywood for more than 30 years. Over the years, Whitford has worked in many films and TV shows of different genres.


Apart from acting, Whitford speaks up for social and political issues. He supports voting rights, climate change action, and social justice, using his voice to raise awareness and inspire people to get involved. One of his best-known roles was in Get Out (2017), where he played Dean Armitage. The film was successful at the box office and Whitford was praised for his performance in the film. Whitford made his TV debut with a minor appearance in the show The Equalizer in 1985. He got his breakthrough with the hit show The West Wing (1999–2006), where he played the role of Josh Lyman. He received praise from the critics for his performance in the show. He won a Primetime Emmy Award and 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards for his role, along with 3 Golden Globe Awards nominations.
