Sebastian Eugene Hansen stars as Henry in the upcoming Warner Bros. adventure-comedy film “A Minecraft Movie.” Hansen was selected for his role in June 2023 following an audition process that began in May 2023. He spent four months in New Zealand, filming for the movie and going through stunt training while balancing his studies and schoolwork.

Hansen began acting at the age of five and has previously appeared in the psychological horror drama miniseries “Lisey’s Story (2021)” in the role of Young Scott Landon and the true-crime drama “Just Mercy (2019)” where he played Kris Ansley. His performance in the latter earned him recommendations from the likes of Michael B. Jordan and Bill Nighy. Since then, he has worked on the upcoming “Now You See Me 3” scheduled for release in November 2025.

Sebastian Eugene Hansen in A Minecraft Movie

Hansen plays the character of Henry, one of the four leads in the film. Henry unexpectedly gets pulled into the Overworld along with his four companions. Described as a cubic wonderland where creativity and imagination are the only keys to survival, he must navigate the new world while also protecting it from fantastical adversaries such as Piglins and Zombies.

Alongside Garrett 'The Garbage Man' Garrison (Jason Momoa), Natalie (Emma Myers), Dawn (Danielle Brooks), and expert crafter Steve (Jack Black), he must discover and master their unique abilities to navigate the Overworld. Watch the official trailer here:
