Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg, professionally known by the name Mark Wahlberg is an American actor. Mark started his career in the entertainment business at a very early age where he was seen alongside his elder brother Donnie Wahlberg in the boy band New Kids on the Block. As a singer and rapper, Mark has released various singles titled No Mercy (1995), Hey DJ (1996), Feel the Vibe, and Best of My Love (both in 1997).


As an actor, Mark Wahlberg entered Hollywood with the television film The Substitute which was aired back in 1993. The actor later starred in other movies like The Basketball Diaries (1995), Fear (1996), Boogie Nights (1997), The Big Hit (1998), Three Kings (1999), The Perfect Storm (2000), Four Brothers (2005), and many more. Mark has earned various awards and accolades including one BAFTA Award, MTV Movie & TV Award, and 2 Satellite Awards, along with nominations for 2 Academy Awards, 3 Golden Globe Awards, and 8 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Being a part of the Huge family, Mark was always supported for his dreams from being a rapper to being a full-time actor. Talking about his parents, his mother was a bank clerk and a nurse's aide by profession whereas his father was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. It was known that his parents had moved their separate ways in 1982 and because of this, the actor had to divide his time equally between both of them.

As of 2025, Mark Wahlberg is married to his wife Rhea Durham. The actor and model had initially met each other in a press junket held in 2001. Recalling their first meet, Mark revealed in an interview with PEOPLE stating, "I asked her if she wanted to come out with me, and she said yes. Then I asked her if she wanted to come to church with me the next morning, and she said yes again. So that was our first date: St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York."


There have been many moments where Mark Wahlberg has praised his wife for the dedication and efforts she has put in while supporting the actor through his journey. During a 2018 interview with The Sun, Mark explained, "I owe a lot to my wife. She has helped me become the man that I am and created a beautiful life for me and our children."
