Mark Wahlberg has many upcoming projects lined up in 2025. According to Deadline, Wahlberg will be seen in the upcoming crime thriller film, Play Dirty, directed by Shane Black for Amazon MGM Studios. He will play the role of Parker, a thief who is double-crossed and plans the biggest heist of his life for revenge. The film is based on the character Parker, who appears in many novels written by Donald E. Westlake under the name Richard Stark. The film is set to be released in 2025.


According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Wahlberg will be seen in the upcoming action comedy film Balls Up directed by Peter Farrelly for Amazon MGM Studios. The screenplay is written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. The script is based on 2 marketing executives who get fired from their jobs for ruining a potential opportunity. The story focuses on the chaos they create at a big soccer match after getting drunk. It also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Molly Shannon, Eva De Dominici, Benjamin Bratt, etc.


In October 2024, Apple Original Films announced the sequel of the hit film The Family Plan. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Dan Morgan in the film and will also produce it. Currently, the film is in the development stage, and along with Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby will reprise their roles as well. According to Deadline, they exclusively reported on December 11, 2024, that Kit Harington also joined the cast, though his character has not been revealed yet.
