American actor-producer Penn Badgley has been working in Hollywood for over two decades. After gaining popularity for his portrayal of Dan Humphrey in WB’s “Gossip Girl,” Badgley did a lot of movies and shows across different genres before landing his career-defining role as Joe Goldberg in Netflix's psychological series “You.” Badgley will be next seen in season 5 of “You,” playing the psychopathic serial killer who has become a fan favorite of the audience.

Penn Badgley is married to Domino Kirke, who's named after the famous Bounty hunter, Domino Harvey. Kirke started writing music when she was eleven and eventually got spotted by producer Andres Levine when she was seventeen. Kirke has three studio albums in her name. She released her first album, “Beyond Waves,” in 2017, which includes eleven songs. In an interview with Billboard, Kirke said the song ‘Beyond Waves“ is about moving past that breaking point and into a clearing. Kirke gave birth to a son in 2009 while she was dating the musician Morgan O’Kane.

Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke's relationship

Kirke met Badgley in 2014, and they soon started dating. Just after the release of Kirke’s first album, the couple got married in 2017. Kirke recalls her marriage in an interview with People.:

“My first wedding was more of a civil ceremony with about 40 people that were able to join us in a pinch. The second one was more planned. 200 people came from all over the world. It just felt necessary to have both.” She told i-D in 2017, “I got married and it was a bit of a whirlwind. I wasn't expecting for the next phase for Penn and I. To be honest, it came as a huge surprise, and it happened after the record was made so it’s been a very busy year.”

Penn says his faith in the Baha’i religion has played a big part in his decision to get married, and now both Badgley and Kirke follow the Baha’i faith. The couple announced their pregnancy in February 2020, and their son, James, was born in August of the same year. On March 1, 2025, Kirke and Badgley revealed that they were expecting twins. The couple is very affectionate towards each other, and they make sure to show it out in the open from time to time. Kirke appeared on her husband's podcast in 2022, where she shared how they met and what that led to.
